A plea bargain was arranged and Homolka agreed to disclose all crimes the couple committed and testify against her husband and suspected Scarborough Rapist, Paul Bernardo. After the agreement was made tapes were found at the couple's home which clearly showed Homolka receiving pleasure from victimizing the young girls, including her own sister. Homolka's stand that she was also a victim of Bernardo was no longer credible, but the plea bargain was sealed. This plea bargain received much public criticism from Canadians.
On July 04, 2005, Homolka was released from prison.
