After previously deciding that the death penalty was unconstitutional for juveniles, making it possible for cold-blooded mass killers like D.C. sniper John Malvo to avoid execution, the U.S. Supreme Court is now considering whether or not life sentences for juveniles are cruel and unusual punishment.
Approximately 111 juveniles in the U.S. are currently serving life sentences. Read more...

Attorneys for a 30-year-old Idaho woman and her boyfriend have requested a change in venue for their up-coming murder trial for the death of her 8-year-old son. Melissa Jenkins and Daniel Ehrlick each are charged with first-degree murder in the death of Robert Manwill.
Robert's body was found floating in an irrigation canal a week after he disappeared. Read more...

The founder of the soft porn "Girls Gone Wild" videos has accepted a plea agreement in his tax evasion case on the day before his trial was set to begin. Under the deal, Francis was sentenced to time already served and one year probation.

A Galveston jury deliberated less than five hours before convicting a 26-year-old man of capital murder in the beating death of a 2-year-old girl who was known for months only as "Baby Grace." Royce Clyde Zeigler II was found guilty of murder in the death of Riley Ann Sawyers.
Riley's mother, Kimberly Trenor, was convicted of the same charge in February and was sentenced to life in prison. Read more...
