When Paul Castellano became the head of the Gambino family in 1927, he moved to Staten Island to a home that was a replica of the White House. Castellano even called it the White House. It is in this house, around the kitchen table, that Castellano would discuss Mafia business, not knowing that the F.B.I. was taping his conversations.
