The former medical student accused of being the "Craigslist Killer" has apparently committed suicide in his jail cell. Philip Markoff was pronounced dead in his Nashua Street Jail cell in Suffolk County, Massachusetts by emergency medical workers Sunday morning.

Rhode Island officials have filed charges against a Boston medical student who has been accused of killing a masseuse he met on the online classified website Craigslist. Philip Markoff has been charged with the assault of a stripper at a motel in Warwick.
