CRIME and PUNISHMENT: It irks me to no end for some “above the law” that gets away with breaking the law. For instance the corrupt politicians. If the law isn’t justified for everyone then why not just open the prison doors and turn all behind bars loose. Little wonder there is so much crime and so many incarcerated today, they have very few mentors to set examples from, including so-called parents to our so-called leaders of our country, crooked lawyers, and our so-called local government, and yes our religious leaders that have lied to people from
day one about Bible Truth. I said it and I am glad!!!

When are we as American’s going to vote these politicans who make these laws, yep they are the ones making and breaking the laws. My biggest peave is that sexual predators are allowed to walk our streets. I am a child of one, yes my father was a predator. I think it is time for all of you to realize these people should not be allowed to be in the public ever. Put them all in one place and allow them to hurt each other instead of innocent people and children. No excuses or reasons to allow them in the prison system. Its a waste of time.

My other problem is, if you commit a crime against a child or old person. You forfiet your rights. Completely. Over done. No if’s and’s or but’s. Our lawyers and politicans need to hear us all.

(4) Patsy says:

I think the laws should be changed so they will get the same sentence as armed robbery suspect. Once convicted, I think that the sex offender/rapist should be given to the victim’s family. Then, I think all sex offenders/rapist should be banished to an island where they are the hunted along with electronic tracking device. Barring all of this they should be castrated. Then if that doesn’t work cut their hands off. You can’t molest or rape if you can’t hold them.

This is in regards to David Copperfield. I hope this woman isn’t making this up to get back at Mr. Copperfield for something that he didn’t do that she wanted. If she is making this up, she should be prosecuted. By the same token Mr. Copperfield should be prosecuted if he did in fact rape her. I don’t know the facts, the woman or Mr. Copperfield so I hope there is evidence that convicts and/or clears the guilty party. Whomever is at fault.

(6) Gun Crime says:

The facts are clear — guns prevent 2,000,000 crimes. Total crimes in the US are about 400,000. Do the math.

More guns, less crime. It’s just a fact.

All criminals must face prosecution and and if and when found guilty sentenced accordingly.
I am from Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin, and a member of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. we have another kind of criminal element ravageing our people. A corrupt tribal council. This council has turned agaisnt our Tribal Constitution and its Bylaws. Led by Chairwoman Victoria Doud, this council has done everything from stealing tribal monies to co-mingling Federal and State grants that were destine for programs such as Elder Health and Transportation to Daycare, All tribal funds are depleted, and now we are over 80 million dollars in the red. Because of this there are now massive layoffs within tribal enterprises and many are force to collect unemployment which will only last a few months. It all started about five years ago when scandal was rearing its ugly head, tribal credit card abuse by tribal officials, discovered by newly elected Tribal Treasurer Muriel Froelick. Needless to say Mrs. Froelick has been the target of relentless retaliation from the other leaders. Along with Councilman Tom Maulson and Councilman Jerome BigJohn, Mrs. Froelick has been trying to expose this outrage that has left our tribe in utter devestation. For more information visit: www.ldfnews.com this site was created by another tribal member and seems the only option to spread the word about these criminals. We have been to the BIA, FBI, Dept.of Interior, Dept. of Justice, The Attorney General, The Senate, Congress and many, many news and other media sources all to no avail. Will someone listen.

Sincerely tribal member, Charles G. Theobald, 2008
