Virginia Killing Spree Investigation Widens

Monday January 9, 2006
Two men arrested in Philadelphia for the slaughter of two families in their Richmond, Virginia homes may have been involved in other similar crimes, according to law enforcement officials who are comparing other crimes to the grisly robberies and killings.

Ray Joseph Dandridge and Ricky Gray were arrested in West Philadelphia Saturday on charges of killing the members of two families -- a family of three found slain last Friday and a family of four killed New Year's Day.

On Friday, police found the bodies of Percyell Tucker, 55; his wife, Mary Tucker, 47, and her daughter, Ashley Baskerville, 21, in their ransacked Richmond home. The pair took a green Chevrolet Blazer from the Tucker home, which later lead police to their whereabouts.

Muscian Bryan Harvey Killed

On New Year's Day, the bodies of Bryan Harvey, 49; his wife, Kathryn, 39, and their daughters, Stella, nine, and Ruby, four, were found with their throats cut, after their home was set on fire.

Bryan Harvey was a guitarist and singer in the duo House of Freaks, which released five albums from 1987 to 1995, but police believe the attack on the Harveys was a random act.

Investigators say they found evidence linking Dandridge and Gray to all of the murders. They have also been charged in another home invasion, in which no one was hurt. Other charges may be pending.
