Moms Testify at Jackson Trial
The jury heard from several former employees of Jackson, and the mother of the boy who received a reported $22 million settlement from Jackson in 1993, who testified to seeing him in the shower and in bed with several young boys.
The mother of the 1993 victim admitted to the jury that she allowed Jackson to sleep with her son in exchange for gifts of jewelry from him.
Their testimony also was used by the prosecution to show a pattern of "grooming" behavior Jackson used repeatedly with the boys and their family members.
Tape Backs Up Mother's Story
Currently testifying is the mother of the boy who testified earlier in the trial that Jackson molested him. She testified that she saw Jackson licking her son's head on a flight back from Miami and to being intimidated by Jackson and others who told her that her children were in danger from "killers."
She said she made the rebuttal videotape praising Jackson, from a script she was given, because she was told it would "appease the killers."
Her rambling and sometimes emotional testimony seemed too incredible to believe, according to some court reporters, but the prosecution produced a tape recording of a conversation that she had with a Jackson aide that seemed to confirm all of her allegations about being intimidated.
Her direct testimony is scheduled to continue today.
