Stacy Schuler, 32, a high school gym teacher at Mason High School in Daton, Ohio was indicted on 16 counts of sexual battery and three counts of serving alcohol to minors. Schuler allegedly had sexual contact, mostly with football players, five separate times between August and December, 2010. She is also being accused of buying alcohol for students.
Investigation
During the week of January 10, 2011, Mason City Schools received an anonymous tip indicating that a high school teacher was inappropriately involved with a student. An investigation began immediately and Schuler was placed on administrative paid leave on January 18, directed to have no contact or communication with students, not permitted on district property or at district events, and the matter was turned over to local law enforcement.
Update: On Oct. 28, 2011, Stacy Schuler was sentenced to a total of four years in prison for 16 counts of sexual battery and three counts of providing alcohol to a minor. She can request that the judge lets her go out of prison after six months.
