The Renaissance School serves over 250 K-12 students with many experiencing behavioral and disciplinary problems.
According to the police reports, Vazquez told administrators and the student's foster parents that she wanted to reward the boy's improvements in class with a lunch outside of the school. Instead of the lunch the two allegedly went to Vazquez's house for sex.
Prosecutors say to help disguise the real purpose of the lunch, a female student was also invited and stayed downstairs while Vazquez and the boy went upstairs to have sex.
Vazquez originally pleaded not guilty to four felony counts of sexual misconduct, but changed her plea to guilty of one count in exchange for a maximum eight-year prison sentence.
Vazquez received home detention for two years, sex offender probation for four years and she will have to register as a sex offender.
