Jeffrey Taylor, 46, of Noblesville, Indiana.
Distributing child pornography through the Internet
On January 6, 2009, law enforcement officials discovered that Taylor was distributing video and images of child pornography from a computer in his home. A subsequent search turned up more than 10,000 images files and 500 video files of child pornography. This included sexually explicit material involving very young children, bestiality involving minors, and sadistic abuse. Taylor used file-sharing software to make his collection available to others so that he could obtain child pornography from them in exchange.
Taylor was found guilty in federal court.
U.S. District Court Judge Larry J. McKinney sentenced Taylor to 40 years in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release. He was also order to forfeit all of the equipment he used to commit the crime.
