Gwendolyn Nell Sherbondy, 47, of Eugene, Oregon.

The Charges:

Bank Robbery

The Case:

Claiming to have a gun in her purse, Gwendolyn Nell Sherbondy robbed a series of Oregon banks from July 2007 until February 2009 by handing a note to the teller demanding money. She robbed banks in Bandon, Myrtle Point, Lincoln City and Roseburg, Oregon. When officers searched her home on March 5, 2009, they found clothing that matched that which she wore during the videotaped robbers.

The Conviction:

Sherbondy pleaded guilty in federal court to robbing three of the banks.

The Sentence:

U.S. District Court Judge Michael R. Hogan sentenced Sherbondy on Jan. 19, 2010 to serve 63 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release. She was also ordered to pay $11,228 in restitution.
