Taylor Behl, a 17-year-old freshman at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, left her dormitory room Sept. 5, 2005 to give her roommate some privacy with her boyfriend. She took a cell phone, some cash, a student ID and her car keys.
A month later, her body was found in a shallow grave 75 miles east of Richmond.
On January 18, 2006, Benjamin Fawley was charged of first-degree murder of Taylor Marie Behl. The charge has since been dropped to second-degree murder which means Fawley will not face the death penalty if found guilty.
Fawley has admitted to being with Behl when she died accidentally during consensual sexual activity. He told investigators what after she died he panicked and dumped Behl's body in the shallow grave.
