NFL player Randy Moss was arrested in September 2002 after he bumped a traffic control officer with his car. The incident occurred when Ross was attempting to make an illegal turn and the office stood in front of his car to stop him. The "bump" caused the officer to fall to the ground. Moss' car was searched and a small amount of marijuana was found inside. He was charged with Suspicion of Assault with a Deadly Weapon which is a felony and a misdemeanor marijuana possession. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor traffic violation, and was ordered to pay a $1,200 fine and perform 40-hours of community service.
