  • Knight received probation in 1992 for weapons and assault charges. He was found guilty of breaking that probation in 1996 after security cameras at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas caught him and a group of other men beating a gang member. He was sentenced to nine years in prison for parole violation.

  • He was released from prison in 2001 with parole conditions including not having any contact with his former partner, Dr. Dre.

  • On December 23, 2002 he was arrested again for parole violation. Knight had moved to Malibu without informing his parole officer and associated with known gang members. He was released after 61 days after only one count, consorting with an alleged gang member, was upheld.

  • On June 21, 2003, Knight was arrested again for assaulting a parking lot attendant outside a Los Angeles nightclub. He was found guilty for the assault and for violating his parole and received a 10-month prison sentence.

  • On February 5, 2005 Knight was stopped by police for making an illegal U-turn. Police found marijuana in his truck and he was arrested and held for a week in jail but later cleared of all but the moving violation charge and for driving without insurance.

  • Marion “Suge" Knight was fined $691 Friday (August 5) and cleared of a marijuana possession charge after pleading no contest to making an illegal U turn and driving without insurance in Barstow, California.

  • Knight was arrested and jailed for more than a week after police said they found marijuana in his Ford pickup truck during a traffic stop on February 5.
