On November 13, 2003, Joshua Jackson was arrested at a Carolina Hurricanes hockey game in Raleigh, North Carolina and charged with assaulting a security guard. He allegedly grabbed the guard around the neck and punched him. Jackson registered a blood alcohol level of .14 immediately after his arrest.
In March 2003, he pleaded guilty to amended drunk and disruptive charges in exchange for completing 15 hours of alcohol and substance abuse education and 24 hours of community service.
