On November 15, 1999, Reverend Jesse Jackson was arrested after crossing a police line in front of the Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in Decatur, Illinois. Jackson and supporters were protesting against six students expelled for fighting. He was released the evening of his arrest from the Macon County Jail on $10,000 bond.
