Marion "Suge" Knight, 43, was arrested on August 27, 2008, on assault and drug charges after police allegedly saw Knight standing over his girlfriend, beating her while holding a knife.
According to police, Knight and his girlfriend of three years got into an argument while Knight was driving and he punched her in the head and she grabbed the steering while, which caused the car to go into the curb. She ran from the car, but Knight caught up with her and began beating her.
Knight was also found in possession of Ecstasy and Hydrocodone. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges of possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription and domestic violence.
