Jarred Harrell's first trial is scheduled to begin Jan. 20, 2012.

The family of a 7-year-old girl who disappeared while walking home from school two days ago has been informed by authorities than a child's body has been found in a landfill. The child's body was found in a landfill in Folkston, Georgia, just across the Florida state line near where Somer Thompson vanished.

Police were interviewing registered sex offenders and searching Orange Park, Florida for a 7-year-old girl who disappeared while walking home from school. Authorities issued an Amber Alert for Somer Thompson who vanished as she and her twin brother and 10-year-old sister were walking home.
