On October 3, 1995, O.J. Simpson was found not guilty of the June 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, but his legal problems did not end then by a long shot. On Feb. 4, 1997, a civil jury found Simpson liable for the deaths and awarded their families $8.5 million in compensatory damages.

On Sept. 13, 2007, Simpson and four other men entered a Las Vegas casino hotel room where some of his sports memorabilia was being offered for sale by two collectors. After three days of investigation, police arrested O.J. Simpson on kidnapping and armed robbery charges.

A three-judge panel of the Nevada Supreme Court has heard a motion from O.J. Simpson's attorney to release the former NFL star on bail pending his appeal. The panel is not expected to make a decision for several weeks.

Apparently, the start of O.J. Simpson's trial in Las Vegas on charges of armed robbery and kidnapping is going to start as scheduled, after two court rulings this week, including one from the Nevada Supreme Court. Simpson's last co-defendant, Clarence "C.J." Stewart, lost an appeal to have his trial separate from the former NFL star.

On the tape, attorneys claim, Michael McClinton contradicts testimony that he gave in a November preliminary hearing.
