Two men accused of giving alcohol to an Indiana University coed before she disappeared in June 2011 have filed papers in federal court claiming they were not in anyway responsible for her disappearance. Jason Rosenbaum and Corey Rossman said they had no control or had any right to control the 20-year-old Lauren Spierer on the night she vanished.

A judge has scheduled a hearing in December to decide whether to proceed with a lawsuit brought by the parents of a missing Indiana University student against the three men who furnished her alcohol on the night she disappeared. Lauren Spierer's parents claim the three should have protected the 20-year-old after she became intoxicated.

Investigators and family members of a Indiana University student missing since June 2011 are anxiously awaiting the forensic examination of a human skull found by a fisherman in the White River in Indianapolis. The skull was found under the Raymond Street Bridge about 60 miles from where 20-year-old Lauren Spierer was last seen.

Convicted sex offender William Clyde Gibson is accused of three murders in New Albany, about 100 miles from when Lauren Spierer disappeared in Bloomington.

The search for a 20-year-old Indiana college student who disappeared in June has led investigators to a landfill 60 miles west of Bloomington. State and FBI investigators have begun searching through the garbage dump in Pimento for evidence in the Lauren Spierer case.
