A former South Carolina teacher will be serving six years in prison after pleading guilty to having sex with five 14 and 15-year-old boys. Allenna Ward, 24, was actually sentenced to 15 years in prison for each lewd act count, but the sentences were suspended to six years.
A comment by a visiting blogger, "caved1ver" about the sentencing of Ward was, "If it were a man assaulting underage girls, he would have received the full 15 years in prison."
Poll: Is there a double standard when sentencing male pedophiles compared to female pedophiles?

2) No. Male pedophiles also receive light sentences.
3) No. It depends on where the pedophile is prosecuted, not their gender.

I’m a retired Probation/Parole officer. My caseload was comprised solely of sexual offenders of all kinds for over 12 years. And, yes, female offenders are subject to a different level of sentencing, consistently. Not only for sexual offenses but for most crimes. Especially if the offender has children of her own. Courts are reluctant to drop the hammer of females, while holding male offenders to a different standard.
I think it depends on the age of the boys. Women who molest kids are treated the same as male molesters. But a young woman having sex with a teenager is seen differently. It’s part of a teenage boy’s fantasy to have sex with his “hot” teacher or any older woman. Such sexual encounters are treated as cool and even bragged about with friends. The double standard exists in adult women having sex with consenting teenage boys vs. adult men having sex with consenting teenage girls. The men are seen as more vile and corrupt.
I’d say it is part of the girl’s fantasy too. I am a teacher and i am in my 20s and girls from 11 to 16 flirt with me all the time, some of them even grab my butt, So id say it is the same if it was a male or a female adult having sex with underage people. First the age of consent should be lowered to 16, where i live it is 16 and in some european countries is 16. Second a person either male or female should get 10 years in jail for every child raped under 16.
If it is part of the boys fantasy to have sex with all these women, then teen girls have no fantasies at all? are the angels who are praying all the time? as we can see women are as dirty as men, what abouta ll those teens flirting with me and grabbing my butt, so do it becvause i have low self steem in order to cheer me up? i think not. I wonder what would happen if i get a depressed 15 years old girl and make her a woman, Id probably be pout away for life for doing a faour like that.
