When police stopped a group of teenagers driving erratically in a Jeep, it lead to the arrest of a 33-year-old middle school teacher on charges of having sex with the 15-year-old driver. Christina Butler has been charged with lewd and lascivious batter, police said.

When police stopped the Jeep on a Tampa street, the driver told them he did not have a license and his "friend" Christina had let him drive her car. Police determined that Butler was the owner of the vehicle and she was called to the scene.

While they were waiting, one of the passengers told the officers that the driver was in a relationship with the owner of the Jeep. When Butler arrived, she first told officer the relationship was platonic, but later admitted it was sexual.

Butler is a ninth grade teacher at Middleton High School in Tampa. She is free on $7,500 bail.
