Dean Corll was a 33-year-old electrician living in Houston, Texas, who with two teen accomplices was responsible for kidnapping, torturing, raping and murdering at least 27 young boys in Houston in the early 1970s. The Houston Mass Murders, as the case was later called, became one of the most horrific series of murders in U.S. history.

My husband, now 51, was also a victim of these sick men…… This trauma has affected his whole life, and lives daily with the pain that comes with it. He knew many of the victims and can still hardly even speak of this tramatic event way back when…..

Please tell Billy we are so sorry for that horrific event. Thank the Lord that David had a moment of compassion. Why didn’t he experience that feeling from the 1st time he participated? We pray for you & your family. I too grew up in the Height’s & hopefully it will never happen again.
It will never fade from our memories and in a way that’s good as maybe when these monsters come up for parole
they will be rightfully denied.

(3) Rhonda Williams says:

I understand his pain all too well…

I am the surviving female victim who was responsible in convincing Elmer Wayne Henley Jr. to end the madness on Aug 8th, 1973. Tim Kerley and I were tortured for endless hours on Dean Corll’s torture board that morning. I live with the memories everyday…

I was inspired by Tim’s speaking out on the 35th anniversary of Dean Corll’s death to give peace to the family and friends of the victims since neither him or I have ever revealed what really happened that fateful morning. Tim is now resting peacefully with the angels. I know he is at rest because he got the chance to give comfort to so many. He will forever be in my heart!

I lost many friends and my beloved fiancé Frank Aguirre to that madman. My life was forever changed. It’s time that I speak out to offer peace to others too, and tell the truth about much misinformation. It’s time for the truth to finally be revealed…

I am currently writing the book about the truth of Houston Mass Murders. I want to honor the victims by representing them as honestly as possible. There are still 2 young boys who have never been identified, and I hope my book helps to someday put them to rest. I am sincerely reaching out to find family members, friends, Heights residents, and those who have had other dealings associated with the Houston Mass Murders. Anyone with any information or memories please feel free to contact me.

(8) John Vincik says:

Rhonda, my heart and all my sympathy goes out to you for what you’ve had to endure and relive all of these years. I can only imagine what you’ve been through.

I was one of Dean Corll’s “almost” victims. I was about 14-15 at the time around the 1970-1971 time frame. I was standing outside of a dentist’s office on 20th Street near Yale waiting for my sister-in-law to pick me up. He drove by in a car (I haven’t found any mention of a car anywhere) rather than the white van indicated in the stories. He waved and smiled almost frantically as he drove past…..like he knew me and I waved back thinking it must have been a relative or family friend.

He apparently turned around somewhere near Heights Hospital and came back and pulled to the curb beside me. He immediately slid halfway over in the seat and told me I was such a “pretty” boy. I literally froze on the spot. I was so totally shocked at that kind of statement coming from a man to me that I couldn’t move. He kept talking to me, wanting to know if I liked boys or men, as he continuing to slide over in the seat while disgustingly rubbing his crotch the whole time. Soon he was right up against the door talking about fun parties with lots of other boys there, alcohol, marijuana and whatever else I wanted if I would only get in the car with him now.

Suddenly, he caught something out of the corner of his eye and immediately slid back over to the driver’s side and nervously looked forward. A Houston Police car had just turned onto 20th from a cross street near where we were and the 2 officers were intently staring at us as they passed very slowly by. As soon as they were about a quarter block past, Dean stepped on the gas and was gone in a flash just like he had appeared. I didn’t know who he was until the story broke in 1973 and I saw his picture!!!

By fate or grace of God, those police officers most probably saved my life that day. The worst part of this is I kept this a total secret from everyone until about a couple years ago when something came on tv about one of the unidentified victims possibly being identified and I finally told my wife about it. If I had only told somebody back then that a man had approached me in that manner…..if I had only thought to run after the police car and gotten their attention……lives may have been saved. Even if nobody would have listened to me or believed me, I should have TOLD SOMEBODY! I will forever regret not doing SOMETHING other than to just bury it deep in my mind! If only I could do it over…………………………………………………………………

(9) Erica says:

To the 3 of you, and the endless others that were affected, my heart goes out completely to you right now. I’m just crying thinking of it all. Sadly, I have never even heard of any of this. I am doing a final paper for criminal justice about any serial killer, and I stumbled upon the Houston Mass Murders on Wikipedia. I read the article and saw your name Rhonda, and so I searched your name to see if I could find anything else out about you. That led me to this, and to these comments, and feeling COMPLETELY enraged that our law enforcement has FAILED to go any further, probably because of embarassment. However, pride should be put to the side and this case needs to be completed in order to bring peace to other loved ones left to wonder everyday of those that have never been found. This all just hits home even more because I am from Pasadena, and have lived in Houston all my life. Rhonda, when you finish your book, I would LOVE to purchase it. If you can and don’t mind, please let me know when it comes out. To all of you and anyone else that may have anything else to say or contribute to this topic, I would love to include it all in my paper.
Once again, my heart goes out to you, and I pray for your peace of mind and peace at heart. I could never imagine being in your shoes….

Will there be lots of photos in your book? I hope so. And do you have any contact with David Brooks, the 3rd accomplice? I can’t wait to read it.

(14) Suzanne says:

The “mass murders” affected so many here in Houston. One of my husband’s cousins was a victim that was identified later on during the investigative process. We knew he was a bit of wild kid and really were not surprised that he ended up becoming a victim. So many teenagers were literally roaming the streets of the Heights at that time that it should be of no surprise that a creature like this could destroy so many lives. Through our church affiliation in the Heights we knew several members of Wayne Henley’s family including one of his younger brothers who later died in a traffic accident. Our church recevied bomb threats because we would not kick this family out of our church and the kids out of our youth program.
Lord knows this family needed more help than one church could give them. Abuse and domestic violence were rampant in that home and it’s no shock that Wayne found the worst possible people with which to associate. He often ranged from deep theological discussions with our minister to roaming the streets looking for a quick high or buzz.
What a mess his life was.
My husband and I were Heights rats, but were older and already married before the “chicken hawks and chickens” began trolling the streets of the Heights. It was an awful time for us northsiders and it was a huge relief when the dam broke and Henley killed that evil monster.
To this day I’m surprised that he even bothered to kidnap Rhonda since he liked the young boys so much. I hope she (you) find peace and that writing will be therapeutic for you.

(15) Rhonda says:

Do I think telling the truth will open old wounds… yes, but these wounds have been shrouded in lies and mistruths for a long time therefore thw wounds are unhealed. It’s time people know the whole story and the victims.
So far I can tell you the title of my book “The Girl on the Torture Board – The Truth Behind the Houston Mass Murders” and it will have quite a few pictures. Hopefully many of the pictures won’t be repeats of what is already out there. Some of the pictures will be quite disturbing and I apologize in advance for that.
There will be a movie produced by Josh Vargas coming out about the same time as my book titled “Henley”. It will be based on my book.

My heart goes out to you for all you went through. Please keep us updated – I will buy your book – I had a friend that lived across the street from Dean Corll in Pasadena, and we went to the house the day after this happened. Our last names are similar and I had people think that it was me that morning because of our names being so similar. May God be with you, and all of the families that had to go through this horrible experience. God Bless you.

(17) farmgal1952 says:

The Truth? I doubt that. You weren’t there unless you cut a deal with Wayne Henley. I know you two have always been friendly before the murders, during, & after his confinement. What does that say for your credibility? How convenient you wait until Tim passed away, your ONLY witness to discredit you. I find it detestable. Are you sharing the proceeds with Wayne & HIS family or the victims families? All I smell is blood $$$ & it stinks. Between your book & the book that Brooks’ ex wife is writing I pray that God will have mercy on your greedy souls. Pictures? Disturbing pictures? How sick is that?

32 yrs..hmmm? Friends huh? No wonder you’re still alive to sing praises unto Wayne. I’m sure his helpless victims opinions were much like yours until his cold icy hands wrapped around their throats and choked the very life out of them. Next time you look into your good friend’s cold blue eyes & monstrous face, REMEMBER it was one of the LAST images those trusting/innocent/helpless little boys witnessed while begging their dear friend Wayne (Dean&David) for their very lives! Lucky for you yall didn’t meet up 37or38yrs ago. Guess he wouldn’t have killed you or passed you around at the torture parties, afterall he’s your FRIEND. YES, GOD (JESUS CHRIST) FORGIVES, but unfortunately for him there is a MORAL DEBT to society to be paid.

DOES IT REALLY MATTER WHO I AM? Without appearing rude
I could care less who you are. Obviously, just another bleeding heart Kool-Aide drinker. Cheers!

(21) Debra says:

Wondering why Frank Aguirre was Rhonda’s “Fiancee” that was murdered yet she was Wayne Henley’s, “Girlfriend” at the time she was on the torture board. Wondering why after finding her after all over 30 years, all she wants is to ask me is for info. I could provide for her for her, “Book”. Why all of the sudden does she have an interest? To make money. She claims to be so disabled but not disabled enough to ask for information on murdered people she has no info. on. Sent her an email and didn’t mention, “David Hilligeist & Mally Winkle” yet she asked for info. I may have on them. She’s just as guilty as Wayne and Dean.

Rhonda, You and I are the same age and I remember when you came to Alvin Texas High School after the ordeal. You were so calm and strong. I did’nt realize at the time , the horrific details of the murders. I did not even know anything about them until you told me in gym class. You probably don’t remember me, but something in my head remembered you. I remember that you have very curly hair, and I never forgot your name. The memories all came flooding back when I saw something on tv tonight. I really did not find out a whole lot about the crimes for years after that. You are strong and I admire you for reaching out to the families of the victims. Write your book. Your story should be told.

My childhood friend Wally Jay Simoneaux, 14, was killed in the murders, not only was our family close friends with the Simoneaux, but we went to school together and his mother gave me and my sisters a ride to school each morning because she had no transportation.

I have been a journalist in Houston for over 30 years and worked for traditional and new media outlets, and I too have been writing a book based on the views of the victims for a number of years. I too am looking for members of the victims families for completing my work. My website is BobGunner.com and Rhonda, as I have said before, I would love to hear your account as well.

I too would like to help identify the other victims who still have no idenity.

I think I have an idea on where to find you so if I’m right you should have an e-mail in the next few minutes. If not I’ll search for you Dena.

To those who can only feel bitterness where it isn’t rightly deserved:

I’m very sorry you have held so much pain within for 37 years. Through a life time of experiences and therapy I’ve learned that forgiveness is the first step towards healing. I’ve forgiven all those who have caused me pain in my past. It wasn’t an easy task, but it helps to deal with what comes my way without the added weight of tiresome animosity. If you knew the truth, you wouldn’t be harboring these feelings toward me. I am not a bête noire. I was merely an unfortunate victim of a sadistic madman. Had I not been placed on his torture board, and kept my wits around me there would have been more innocents lost. Now I am your victim. I do not deserve, nor do I wish to answer your venom. I sincerely pray you find your own path to healing.

Love and Peace…

(29) tens says:

This Henley character was just as evil if not more evil than Dean Corll. Henley gave up his friends to be raped, tortured and murdered and even committed some of the murders himself. He cooly shot one in the eye as the victim asked him why? In a time magazine article that included an interview with Henley shortly after Deans death he said clearly that he enjoyed procuring, torturing and murdering boys. He is the worst of them imo. His killing of Dean does not lessen that. It was just a case of one sociopath taking out another sociopath. Amazing that this guy gets to live his life out in prison.

(30) Heights Little League says:

Wayne is the worst mass murderer of all time. He took his friends to their death. I was raised with Wayne and considered him a great friend. We played baseball together on the Engineers at Heights Little League. I would go to parties at his house. Mr Henley would hit us ground balls. His brother Paul was a good kid. I grew up with many of the victims. I am 54 years old and it still affects me mentally. I rememeber being questioned after Wayne took a freind of ours from the Cue Club on 34th.

(32) tens says:

To John Vincik… you shouldn’t feel so bad imo.

You didn’t know the guy was a serial killer psychopath and had you known you probably would have went to the police. I’ve been approached by molester types and didn’t tell anyone either as nothing came of it.

In any case, the Heights area police department was so pathetic your complaints probably would not have yielded anything. My understanding is that Dean was checked out a couple of times but nothing came of it.

The incompetence and uncaring of the police is a large part of this story. Nobody gave a crap. Even with the case handed to them they stopped digging and lost interest after a certain number of bodies where found.

The whole police department should have been arrested.

(33) valancy says:

This is pretty much for folks like Debra, farmgal, ten and any others who have decided to believe the very worst of horrific events – and people – about which, to date, is assumption based on the press and several books written in haste (screw the facts) in order to make a fast buck while the whole thing was still fresh in everyone’s mind.

That being said, Rhonda’s book will set the record straight on many points and is a must-do revelation in order to bring to everyone’s attention as to how and why what happened, indeed did happen. Yes, of course, the crimes were horrific and Wayne is definitely guilty but you have to have the true story of HOW it happened in order to understand WHY it happened and this is the story that only Rhonda can tell from her perspective as a victim herself and knowing the participating parties as well as the other victims who were not as lucky to have survived as was Rhonda. The insight that readers will gain from her book will, hopefully, prevent anything like this from ever happening again because law enforcement basicallydidn’t care and classified all missing teens as runaways leaving the people who loved them scratching their heads. How could anyone have even dreamed that anything like what was going on actually was. This was a crime that Houston wanted swept under the carpet as quickly as possible and yeah, Rhonda’s book will stir up anger and tears. How could one man affect so many people on so many levels for such a long time? It’s time to find out.

October 4, 2011 at 1:37 pm
(34) farmgal1952 says:

You are truly misinformed. Wayne Henley was unable to sexually perform & did NOT rape Rhonda. Dean was making fun of Wayne’s sexual inabilities & it made Wayne furious enough to finally kill him. Thank God Rhonda & Tim were released. Rhonda, your dear friend Wayne knew right from wrong & did NOTHING to stop it from the beginning. HE knew very well what would happen to yall when he took you there. Dean was already very angry that David was just married & his girlfriend was pregnant. David was trying to remove himself from the situation & did so. Wayne KNEW what would happen. You’re kidding yourself if you think WAYNE was (is)your friend & saviour. Your remarks & NO Reply speaks for itself. You’re trying to play both sides against the middle & that’s sick. HOW could YOU possibly know enough about their sicko deeds to write a book? or movie? UNLESS you & Wayne made a secret deal for YOU to split the money upon his release from prison. Don’t you people get it? He’s up for parole Oct./2011-I personally pray he will never see the light of day & be denied just like David Brooks was a week ago. Girl, you need a another therapist! These murders are still not solved! These families are still suffering, there are still unidentified remains & these people need $$$ to carry on their search for the truth. Perhaps you’ll do some soul searching & assist them.
YOU know nothing except for what WAYNE has fed you & your horrific night. I don’t wish you ill will, I pray for you. It’s the ill gotten gains & stretching of the truth that we don’t agree with.

(36) Mark says:

To Valancy, are you trying to say not to beleive the early interviews Henely gave? He was very open early on as to how he felt and what went on. Do I think he told the entire truth, no I don’t but to say we have made assumption is way off the mark. And if there is so much more to the story which I think there is then why are some keeping what they know under wraps? Hmmm

October 14, 2011 at 4:57 pm
(37) valancy23 says:

I have personally talked with Wayne on three different occasions. I suggest you all get on his visitation list and find out for yourselves. He has told the truth – and so has Rhonda. This is ridiculous.

October 16, 2011 at 9:12 am
(38) valancy23 says:

No, Mark, I am not saying that at all. Wayne Henley has NEVER said he was innocent and, unlike David Brooks, he admitted to what he did and believes he is where he needs to be for his part in these awful crimes. I am sorry if I misled you in any way. The “assumption” comes into play when I read about people condemning Rhonda Williams and accusing her in having a part in it all when, in fact, she was an innocent victim who nearly lost her life to Dean. She lives this horrific memory each and every day and probably will for the rest of her life. She and Wayne were never actual boyfriend-girlfriend but basically grew up together and knew each other quite well – as well as any of the Heights teens knew one another. I absolutely refuse to sit back and let folks crucify her for something over which she had no control. I have also read the script of In a Madman’s World and it does NOT exonerate Wayne by ANY stretch of the imagination and the LAST thing its creator wants anyone to think is that it does. It doesn’t, and he would be very distressed if anyone came away believing that it was. He knows Wayne is a criminal and that he is where he needs to be. Plain and simple. The film will NOT help Wayne in any way whatsoever. If it keeps even one young person from steering away from such a monster as was Corll by being able to recognize the signs in advance, then the film will have accomplished what it set out to do. Crimes like the HMM must NEVER happen again to ANYONE else and whatever steps anyone can take to prevent it (like the film and Rhonda’s book) need to be taken.

Hi. I’ve had an interest in this case before even moving to Houston years ago. If anyone , like me, was out there doing searches online and trying to track down more info, they’d know that even 6 years ago there was almost nothing ever posted or any sound new info. I wanted to ask those reading… especially the ones in Houston.. if they recall More and Company? Thats the photography studio that specialized in teen boy “bondage” pics that was in the Heights in the late 60′s early 70′s. A year after Corll’s death police raided a warehouse looking for a bucycle theft ring. They found the bikes… and a box of pictures including about as dozen of Corll’s victims that posed nude for that company. I’ve talked to one of the photograpers that worked there, and am interested in finding more info on that connection. My email is Pegasusidol@yahoo.com

I can’t begin to imagine the terror you experienced. This story has always interested me as I was a young boy living in Pasadena at the time. I am sorry you are already receiving negative comments concerning your book. Regardless of your motivation, you have certainly earned the right to tell this story if you choose to do so. There is no question that if you had not been able to get through to Henley, many more young boys would have become victims. No one will ever know just how many lives your are responsible for saving. So, thank you…. I look forward to reading your book. Please let us know when you expect it to be complete.

Thank you David, and those not mentioned for your support. This past few years I have learned a lot about the HMM through research, and being able to ask questions to the right people. I’ve also found old childhood friends who lived in the Heights and have shared memories. I’m no longer looking for family members unless they want their lost family members to be remembered. I understand how painful it is to them. I do not wish for them to have to re-live memories that I do on a daily basis. I will be honoring ALL the victims of Dean Corll. If you have a problem with me telling my story then don’t read it! If you are thinking I might make a dollar, place your anger at the newsmedia you love so much who profit with paychecks from telling of people miseries daily. Some of you consider those media friends, and enjoy re-victimizing a victim. That’s about as low as you can get in my opinion. With that said, I repeat…

To those who can only feel bitterness where it isn’t rightly deserved:

I’m very sorry you have held so much pain within for 38 years.

It seems pretty obvious to me based on all the facts known and from the participants own words that, although Dean Corll was an evil psychopath that probably killed more kids than are currently known without any help, he wasn’t the only psychopath in the neighborhood. He had two friends, Brooks and Henley, who were obviously sociopaths/psychopaths as well. A normal person doesn’t bring his friends and innocent young boys to be tortured and murdered and certainly doesn’t participate in it. And then boast of how much he enjoyed it in an interview.

This subtle blaming of Dean Corll that some seem to suggest for the corruption of these boys is completely insane and an insult to justice. While it’s true people can be influenced and manipulated, people don’t go from troubled to cruel sadistic psychopaths in the space of a short period of time. The real sad part of this story is that these 2 actually still come up for parole and then the families have to fight each time to get it stopped.
These 2 tortured young boys in horrific ways. The pain and fear these kids experienced is probably beyond human comprehension. There lives ended in hell.

I often wonder if the other prisoners at the prison know that these 2 are child torture rapist murderers.

(52) tens says:

Part 1

One last thing… sociopaths and psychopaths are very skilled in the art of manipulating people (though not to the point of making them psychopaths) and fooling people as to their true nature. They develop this skill from a young age since they have no conscience nor normal empathy – they quickly learn they have to pretend they do or else people will react badly to them – they learn they are very different from a young age and in the course of that they learn a lot about normal people and how their psyche works. They become very good actors and good students of normal human psychology.

Many people have misconceptions about sociopaths/psychopaths. They think of them as obviously mean, evil brutish people who take using obvious force and are obviously crazy acting. That is generally not the way they operate or behave. Sociopaths are far more subtle and devious. They use things like pity to make people feel sorry for them… they take advantage of people’s compassion (what they may call in their head “stupidity”) and will often link it to another issue for a given individual that resonates with that individual to control them. They actually view normal people as stupid pests that are deluded with a socially constructed conscience that is not real and look at empathy as another delusion. They view and seek to define normal people as hypocritical, weak, entitled acting, dumb “prey”. They use reverse psychology, gas lighting and even reverse engineering of peoples psyches to discover what they can use in a person to control them and get them to do what they wish. Often times they do all of this not just to achieve an end, but because they enjoy creating suffering in others. It’s just the way their brain works. Some just call it evil.

January 21, 2012 at 8:05 am
(53) tens says:

Part 2

The mask the sociopath often uses is the kind, open minded, caring, with a zen sense of balance, fairness and wisdom, persona. Even Corll was mostly known as a very kind, generous, fair minded fellow, the last person in the world that you would think enjoyed sticking glass rods in young boys urethras and smashing them. He was so good at it that he was openly molesting, raping, torturing and murdering kids and was thought of as generous. This is how they hide and why people don’t catch them. Even when people know what they have done some still defend them because they believe the person is really just a misunderstood, confused “good person”. These people are being played just like previous victims were.

They mirror their own psyche on to these people and are also often being subtley controlled by them due to issues the sociopath has identified in them and is exploiting. Meanwhile the sociopath is thinking what an idiot. Sociopaths are not insane by any means, they are very logical, analytical and enjoy tearing down people using various tactics and are quite good at it. It is a game to them, one with the reward of the creation of suffering in what they consider to be dumb prey.

January 21, 2012 at 8:18 am
(54) tens says:

The way to not become confused by the sociopath is to give little weight to what they say or present. You must observe their actions. If someone is torture murdering young boys and having a good time, this person is not a misunderstood good kind person in reality. This person is fooling someone who has obvious self esteem or victim issues into thinking they are a good person to manipulate them in a way that is favorable to them.

(56) tens says:

Sociopaths are master liars. Their whole personas are constructed lies meant to fool, manipulate and control. They often tailor them individually based on a given individuals or targets psyche. Not that they don’t make mistakes or let their mask slip publicly occasionally. They understand how to effectively lie and since they don’t have a normal fear response, they don’t get flustered when caught in a lie. They simply improvise another lie. Even if what they are saying is improbable, people often will buy it because normal people generally find it physiologically impossible to lie like that and people often assume the sociopath is normal and thinks and behaves like they do. A normal person would generally appear uncomfortable or act differently attempting to lie again in the face of getting caught in a lie. It’s a hormonal/neurotransmitter thing. The sociopath doesn’t have this fear or shame and really could care less, it is just a game to him.

Sociopaths know that effective lying is done by using a combination of truth, keeping some truth omitted and using lies and misdirection all delivered in a relaxed and earnest presentation (often with an appeal to pity) to deceive.

(57) tens says:

Last post on this.

One other unusual “skill” many of them have is “charm”. They appear very likable (separate from their often kind, soft spoken persona) and interesting and to be very genuine, insightful and honest people. They are magnetic. As predators, this charming ability probably serves them very well. I’ve often wondered if the charm stems from the fact that since they don’t have the worries normal people have, and don’t wrestle with their absent conscience (what they may call prisons) or feelings for others, feelings of love and sadness and loss or right and wrong issues, they are very clear minded, unpreoccupied and “present”. Perhaps this combination of being present in the moment (many people are not) and their own high testosterone/estrogen dopamine makeup creates an attraction and glow and is compelling.

Again though, if you look at the actions and results of actions, you can usually see though any of this. The problem is that most people are not aware that Sociopathy exists and that some people are intrinsically and forever not good.

From reading the description of the film it appears Henley will be portrayed as a “15-year old youth from Texas whose life takes a unexpected turn during the summer of 1971 (oh my)” and “A high school dropout working multiple jobs to take care of his 3 brothers and mother” and “is a powerful story of innocence lost and a boy who must become a man under the most nightmarish circumstances imaginable (sounds like a Disney story)”

I don’t see anything about the “boy who led his friends to be murdered, boy who helped abduct friends and others to be murdered (and tortured for days, raped etc), participated in murders or murdered and enjoyed being cruel and sadistic, according to his partner and self interviews. And he becomes a man.

What because he shot Corll soon after Corll had tied him up and gave him a little psychological taste of what was likely to come in the future which no doubt made him angry and probably a little scared?

Here is an example of the real nature of Henley the serial killer sociopath and his involvement with Frank Aguirre.

This is an interview with Deborah Aguirre, the sister of one of Henley’s first victims with Corll, Frank Aguirre. It is part two of an interview that starts with Henley in which he explains he role in Aguirre’s death (tRhonda Williams fiance). He says it was basically not his fault, he was young etc.

Deborah Aguirre says:

“I had heard of the “handcuff game” prior to reading the statement. I had also heard that Elmer tried to talk Corll out of killing my brother. Blah, blah, blah. All hot air. Did he think a Mexican was going to be sold into white slavery? He knew what was going to happen. I feel he knew because he had been in this racquet before my brother was killed. Give me a break…”

“He says an older person would have contacted the police. Yeah right. He wasn’t a child; he was grown and knew the difference between right and wrong. He says he had Brooks take him off? Where? Back home? He just went home thinking of nothing? Or did he just want to count his money for the life of his so called “friend” he had just abandoned?”

“In his statement, where Elmer said, “Corll said he was going to kill him, he was going to f__k him and kill him just like I did the last one.” Who was the last one, Elmer? He said Mark Scott was the next one but who was before my brother?”

“You even came to my house and offered to pass out flyers for my Mom. You had the audacity to say “You haven’t heard anything have you?” I learned, a little later, that you dumped the flyers in a ditch, around the corner from our house. A girlfriend of mine told me she found them. I couldn’t bring myself to tell my Mom that you had thrown them away.”

We have not been on speaking terms since my camera disappeared at his house in 2011. None of you really know what is going to be in my book, or what I know so please STOP trying to say or guess about things you have no real knowledge of. Those thoughts are simply based on your opinions. You can verify with Dr. Derrick that it took me a year to get Josh to send her the newest picture. I only recently received a copy of it myself after it was photo-shopped, and Dr. Derrick had seen it. I sent Dr. Derrick photos of another possible picture almost 2 years ago immediately upon discovering them. Those had been in Rick’s possession for an unknown amount of time, yet he did nothing to bring them forward. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Derrick.

I wasn’t aware of the early 1970′s Dean Corrl killings until a recent MSNBC article on John Wayne Gacy referenced them . Some observations:

1) Regarding the performance of the local police before Corrl was finally killed: it has to be ranked among the most extreme and frustrating examples of law enforcement incompetence and arrogant investigative disinterest in the nation’s history.

Incredibly, despite the fact that virtually none of the Corrl’s victims’ disappearances were in any way analogous to classic “teenage runaways” — no notes left, no clothes from home taken, no money or wallets taken along, no friends informed — the police repeatedly insisted to the growing list of incredulous parents that their boys were simply “running away from home”. In fact, even after knowledge of the Corrl killings finally surfaced, and Corrl’s accomplices had confessed to everything, then Houston police chief Herman Short persisted in claiming, contrary to all evidence, that the victims had been kidnapped after having already ran away from home. Thankfully, Short was ousted from his job in the next election.

2) Wayne Henley, though he was firmly under Dean Corrl’s thumb, was not simply some dumb, pliable kid — and neither was he some otherwise good boy-turned-bad by Corrl’s influence. Read his 1976 interview with Texas Monthly author James Conaway, conducted when the incarcerated Henley was still only 19 and just a few years separated from the murders. Henley, during the interview, clearly relishes the attention paid to him, and displays both a keen, articulate intelligence as well as an unmistakable lack of remorse concerning the crimes (scroll down to page 124 in the link to read remainder of article…http://books.google.com/books?id=tywEAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA83&lpg=PA83&dq=conaway+dean+corll+texas&source=bl&ots=4i7VIK1zwM&sig=K-1GBSd9RESqJTH3OjoUYfZROUs&hl=en&sa=X&ei=CIc4T-jTCuPy0gGXnMCZAg&ved=0CFoQ6AEwCA#v=onepage&q=conaway%20dean%20corll%20texas&f=false)

3) Corrl had for years meticulously crafted a facade of the pleasant, neighborly, and perfectly normal Model Citizen. But just a few days before he was killed, that mask was beginning to crack, which can clearly be seen in the final letter he wrote to his mother where he stated that he felt was “going insane” and that he might “kill himself”. That brings us to…

4) …this. Henley has apparently always credited himself for being the one who took the initiative and finally killed Corrl to put an end to the madness. This is technically true, of course: he did shoot Corrl and kill him. But read his account of Corrl’s final words to Henley before the trigger got pulled: “”Kill me, Wayne! You won’t do it!” Those are the words of someone who is clearly trying to goad the other person into shooting him. In the context of the letter written to his mother, it appears that Corrl wanted Henley to shoot him dead. Up to the very end, Henley was always doing Corrl’s bidding, whether he knew it or not.

February 12, 2012 at 11:41 pm
(81) OldFilmFan says:

5) Corrl’s was unfortunately something of a genius when it came to both selecting and vetting both his pliant teenage accomplices as well as his victims. Corrl apparently had the insight to know that a) his accomplices could always be trusted not go the police, no matter what (and while he was alive, they didn’t); b) the local police could always be trusted into NOT seriously investigating the disappearance of lower-working class kids from downtrodden Houston Heights; c) the phony “runaway” letters Corrl coerced his victims to pen to their parents would successfully reinforce local law enforcement’s opinion that the missing kids were all just runaways.

6) About the coerced letters: Has anyone examined the various letters side-by-side? Good chance that the same type of paper and envelopes were used for many of them — a clue that would have proved at the time that, unless all the kids were running away to the same stationary store, the disappearances were obviously not due to “kids running away”.

Hello, I’m a former police detective (not from Texas) myself, and I just recently learned about this case. It is so very unusual for several reasons, one of them being that he used accomplices. Another that neither of these accomplices spilled the beans until AFTER he was killed.

As a student of Psychology, I’m also fascinated by the “signs” Hensley claimed he noticed in Corrl when he said he wanted to “do a new boy”– his “reflexive motions” (whatever that means) and increased smoking etc. Which leads me to wonder if there might have been any neurological/organic explanations for his behavior.

Rhonda– I’m glad to hear you’re writing the book. Your detractors seem to forget that you were a VICTIM, not a suspect, and that your recollections and thoughts are valuable, even at least just for historical reasons.
I didn’t understand at all your post about pictures and cameras, I guess I don’t know enough about it. Would you care to explain that for those of us who are clueless about it?
And finally Rhonda, I understand your wanting to distance yourself from a film that by all accounts sounds like a disaster, but please don’t wait a year to publish! I am not that patient haha. Can’t wait to read it, and good luck with it.

Yes, Rhonda will publish her book and it should be ready in about a year. I know this because I am editing her book as we speak. Just to clarify a few things on Rhonda’s behalf – yes, it was Rhonda who persuaded Wayne to kill Dean – Wayne himself says so. Google ABC 13′s interview with Tim Kerley and you will hear Wayne say it. Sure, Wayne might have killed Dean anyway at some point — and then again, maybe not. Can you imagine how many other victims there might be had it not been stopped on August 8, 1973? If he were still alive, Dean would be 72 now. Can you imagine? Some wonder why Rhonda doesn’t hate and despise Wayne for the things he did. HE SAVED HER LIFE. I have spoken to Wayne myself on numerous occasions with Rhonda present and there was a lot more at stake that people just don’t know and can’t comprehend (totally understandable) and Rhonda’s book will, indeed, tell the story – the whole story – the true story that is only hers to tell.

“Wayne himself said it”

This is laughable. The guy is obviously a sadistic sociopath, with his involvement and participation in the raping, torturing and murdering of young teens. He has said in early interviews how he enjoyed it.

The hallmark of sociopathy or psychopathy is lying.

Any sensible person wouldn’t trust a word he says because sociopaths are always lying and manipulating to get what they want whether its to convince people of something or to get someone to go in a van so they can be tortured in prolonged brutal and unspeakably cruel ways. And even do it to childhood friends, forget the van.

His act may have had the effect of “saving her life” (don’t forget Corll had just had HIM handcuffed and threatened with “the program”) but he is also responsible for the torture, rape and murder of many kids and even delivered her fiance to his doom. How anyone could like that is beyond my comprehension.

Part 2

One of the least dark explanations i can come up with is that perhaps she is amazed that she was able to have this effect on him and credits herself with it and Henley feeds this version and this makes her feel good about herself and sympathetic to Henley. Henley no doubt I’m sure plays himself as a victim and has the pity pay going full on.

There is nothing mysterious about Corll. He was obviously a sadistic psychopath. Brain scans of psychopaths do show differences in parts of the brain and how the brain is used. This genetic expression has probably been around since humans have been around.

But that is neither he nor there. Henley makes Corll out to be the bad guy (brooks called him a great man), but it was Henley who was bringing his friends to be tortured, Henley who enjoyed the brutality according to his own words, shooting a friend in the face after his rape and torture when the friend pleaded “don’t” and “why”, Henley who killed and helped bury the bodies.

No doubt if Corll hadn’t flipped out on Henley they would have kept raping, torturing and murdering teen boys.

I’m sure that Rhonda’s book will be met with mixed emotions from many, but that’s expected as well. The facts are the facts, plain and simple. It wasn’t as dramatic an ending as you have made it out to be. I can only tell you that Wayne is NOT playing a victim in any way whatsoever. He and Rhonda were NEVER boyfriend/girlfriend. There is so much more involved that goes back even a decade or more before the murders were discovered and basically have no bearing on the HMM’s. You can judge for yourself if you decide to read her upcoming book.

What really bothers me about this is that I’ve seen her make “excusatory” type comments regarding Henley. Like there is more to the story and Henley was under the influence of Corll, he was a good guy, wouldn’t have done it etc.

The guy is as bad (or worse) than Corll. He brought and killed his friends. Even Corll didn’t do much of that. If you read some of the early time magazine articles, he essentially states he enjoyed torture murdering and that Corll would have been proud of how he killed him. He clearly lacks a conscience and empathy based on his actions and remarks. You know what that means right? You know what they do?

And then the parents of all these torture murdered kids, young teens who went through unimaginable physical and mental suffering (extreme pain, fear and hopelessness for example) and had no idea why they were going through it, have to make sure he is not paroled.

These 2 should not be coming up for parole. They have received capital punishment – the whole thing is a virtuosic travesty of justice.

To think that we may have to read anything in the direction of poor Henley when the reality is poor all those kids and parents is ridiculous

I meant to state they should have received capital punishment. At a minimum they should not be coming up for parole and almost getting it. That’s crazy. So when I hear that something even just slightly sympathetic to him could be coming out/published it’s upsetting.

In any case, I will not be surprised if there is interest in the book. There is not much out there on this case. It’s almost as if people are afraid to touch it, perhaps because of the brutality involved and the young ages of some of the victims.

No, there will be no “Poor Wayne” – Wayne himself doesn’t do “Poor Wayne”. He knows what he did and all the crying and trying to fix it will never be enough. He knows that. There is no fixing what happened. Rhonda is probably right, though, that had Wayne never got involved with Corll, he would never had done the things he did. There are no excuses here, believe me. These kids need to be remembered, not brushed away and forgotten. The whole thing is horrible beyond words. This must never happen again to anyone. Period.

Henely may have never committed murder had it not been for his association with Corll but the fact is he did and he enjoyed every minute of it. He by no means is a hero, just think of how many lives would have been saved had he come forward years sooner or if his mother had contacted the police as she knew what her sweet boy was in to. She even knew about the boat shed. Henley is using Williams to help him with his parole in October. My won’t it look good for a potential victim to put in a good word on his behalf. With any luck he will grow old and die in prison.

(94) valancy23 says:

Yup, Wayne probably will spend the rest of his life in The Big House. Nope, Mrs. Henley did NOT know what Wayne was involved in although she DID know Dean Corll and knew he had a boat shed. That crazy jerk-wad spent time in her home but Wayne never told her what was going on. Nope, Wayne certainly is no hero – Great Gobs, not at all. And yeppers, he should have come forward on Day One as soon as he saw what Dean was doing. He should have at least tried, although it’s doubtful the police would have even bothered to look into the matter and if they had, they would probably have questioned a decent-looking, hard-working electrician who would have had no idea what they were talking about. Then Dean would have turned around, killed Wayne and his entire family (as he promised he would do if Wayne ever talked) and kept on doing his Dastardly Deeds probably to this day. There is no easy answer for any of this and there is absolutely no consoling victims’ family members. And nope, Wayne is NOT using Rhonda to further his potential release.

(95) OldDog53 says:

That is a matter of opinion if Henely’s mother knew what he was into, she nor Henely will ever admit it one-way or the other. We will never know what the police would have done if Henely had come forth sooner, they may or may not have investigated Corrl but at least he would have tried and if they did nothing then Henely still would had a chance to walk away from Corrl and at least would have saved all of his friends lives rather than taking them to their deaths. And again we will never if Henely is using Williams, one can only speculate.

I pretty much agree with what you said with the exception of your last sentence. Wayne’s wife is currently spear-heading Wayne’s upcoming parole hearing date; Rhonda has nothing to do with it. Yes I know his wife is spearing heading the campaign for his parole, however Rhonda has said in the past that she does not want to see him incarcerated the rest of his life which is why I believe he will use her in October, I think that is the month of his parole hearing.

(99) OldDog53 says:

He just might at that but there are some crimes that are so heinous that parole should never be considered. It is just too bad the families have to go through this every couple of years. I have been wondering something after reading a lot of the reports. I realize that many are very contradictory. I also though with out evidence find myself wondering about the motives of Rhonda Williams. I do not aim to marginalize what she lived through was a horrible experience. I however have seen on numerous blogs now where she has pushed her “book”, and I find myself with more questions then answers as to what happened on the final night, because of all the conflicting reports, and with the death of Timothy Kerley do not think anyone will ever have completely have all the answers just one persons side. I am left with this odd feeling that this book and movie mentioned are reminiscent to the actions of the Lutz family and their publication and subsequent movie of the Amityville house. The relationship between Williams and Henley creates more controversy than it brings answers. I do however hope I am wrong about these misgivings.

I am also befuddled as to why David Brooks has been completely overlooked. It is like he has just been sort of pushed to the side because of Henley’s candidness. However in reading Brooks’s statements I hear the words of very deviant sociopath. It seems like from the moment Henley shot Croll that David Brooks has been trying to skirt the blame and has not been completely honest about his involvement in all that has gone on. If you look at one pretty repeated fact Croll bought Brooks a green Corvette but it seems no such lavish gifts were handed to Henley the same. Why is it that David Brooks has been largely left out? Why is he not pertinent to any books being written?

(106) caddie says:

I write this not to attack anyone but to find answers to questions still left wide open. Like what was Croll’s involvement in the Child Sex ring from CA and are their victims that come prior to Brooks/Henley’s involvement from 71-73. Their was witness statements taken that said they saw Croll digging while part of the candy company. I think the quote was he was “burying candy to prevent insect investigation” at this point I can not recall the second place he was sighted digging put there is a record of both locations but their has been no investigation as to if there are victims prior to the 71-73 period or what his involvement may have been in the child sex ring.

I will say Mrs. Williams if you release this book do not do so for your own personal gain, the money made from your book should go to honoring the victims and uncovering the complete story of the evil’s of Dean Croll. Because if you just release a book for your own profit you will be doing more harm than good for those still unnamed and those still not found

Lastly in all the comments I have read I think I have only maybe heard an handful of comments about Billy Ridinger. The one person who’s words could shed a great deal of light on the interactions between Croll, Brooks, and Henley is Mr. Ridinger, a man who’s scars run deeper than any survivor of Croll’s heinous and disgusting actions. Only Ridinger can put the final piece of the puzzle in place. I know he provided witness testimony and record of that would be great to know but his account needs to be heard.

My brother got away from them. He was kidnapped when he was a young teen by two older teenaged boys in a car that sounds like the GTX, & driven so far that my brother had no idea where they were. He was realizing that he had to play along w/ the pot smoking in the car, & act cool, despite the obviously sinister tones that were becoming more & more apparent. Eventually, they stopped & took him from the car. He was almost killed in a woods or field many miles away from Houston, but, one of the teenagers convinced the other not to shoot him. Which one of the teens this was I wish to know. (Can anyone contact David and Elmer and ask them to recall this incident?) They drove on, & ended up in a cabin. They kept him high for a long time, I can no longer recall how many days / nights, between two & four, from my memory. He was on a bed in a cabin, likely bound to it, unable to run away, & he refused to fall asleep as he knew they might kill him if he did.

He was losing it, from the drugging & lack of sleep, but, somehow forced himself to stay awake, keep his wits about him so that he finally made it out, somehow. He never told me the rest of the story, & I do not know if Corll ever showed up in that cabin. I do know that these two teenagers worked for or with Corll, as my brother told me that they did, finding his victims, apparently. One of my brother’s friends committed suicide many years after, perhaps in the late 1980s or very early 1990s. This friend of my brother said “blame it on Dean Corll” just before he killed himself. We lived in a nice section of SW Houston. I looked up the address of the boat storage on google maps, &found that the boat shed was between 3-4 miles from our childhood home. There is another friend who was also with my brother and this other friend, who I assume is still living, who may or may not have also been a survivor.. I remember that my brother was missing for a long time when I was young. It took him ten years or more to begin to tell me what happened during his absence. He should have had PTSD treatments, therapy, help…My brother drank himself to death, dying last year at the age of 53. I dearly wish to find out the details of this. I do not know if Elmer or David would reveal anything more due to fear of further charges, but, my brother became more and more destructive after that period of missing time.

(112) Linda says:

Over the last few years I have been saddened to read all the negativity, apathy, and obvious disdain towards Rhonda Williams and her upcoming book about which I am acting as a ghost editor of sorts and is why I want to set the record straight. Rhonda is currently writing her autobiography. Autobiography. This is the key word here and what readers need to understand is that hers is not just another take on the Houston Mass Murders, although there will be incidents revealed that have not previously been known to the general public. These incidences are personal in nature and have no bearing on any of the murders themselves. In actuality, the HMMs make up only a portion of her incredible story.

When Rhonda told me her entire story, I have to say I was absolutely stunned. Her childhood was horrific almost beyond the scope of comprehension; her years as a young adult weren’t much better and she endured events that no human being should ever have to suffer through and yet she did. Rhonda’s story is one of determined survival and is unlike any I have ever heard or read. I feel that her story needs to be told so that others can see how she coped (and sometimes didn’t) with people and events – any one of which would have probably sent me to an early grave. Her story will reveal the strong and unique power of the human spirit repeatedly put to the test and re-emerging as a beautiful, compassionate soul. The question that still haunts me today and is a question that even Rhonda herself cannot explain is how she was (and still is) able to bounce back. She is a true Survivor.

August 12, 2012 at 3:24 pm
(113) Linda says:

If any of you are familiar with the story of Dawn Anna, you know that this is the true story of one woman’s struggle to beat a deadly brain cancer with the loving help of her four children (whom she raised as a single working parent for many years). Part of her tragic story is that one of her daughters was killed in the Columbine shootings but this did not ultimately define her. Dawn Anna’s story is one of incredible survival as well and I doubt any of you would dare condemn and/or accuse this poor woman of exploiting those awful high school shootings for her own personal gain.

So…I ask that people stop treating Rhonda like a criminal because she is anything but. She has been the victim in so many of life’s tragedies and to further victimize her in forums like these is just vicious and cruel.

I lived around the corner from the Henley’s til I was 6 years old. Although I was too young to have many memories of Wayne or his family I do remember some of the stories told about them after the story was aired all over the news. I read “The Man With The Candy” and am now quite intriqued by the news of Rhonda’s book. I have always felt that there was much more to be told of the tale than any of us have ever heard. My upbringing was much like Wayne’s and I know that our circumstances can take us to places in life where we never intended to find ourselves. As horrific as what he found himself involved in, is it not possible that Wayne is as much a victim of Dean Corll as are all those who lost their lives at his hand? I for one know that one wrong decision can change the outcome of ones entire life. Sometimes beyond any kind of repair. As Tim Kerley said, he could either accept it or kill himself. I hope and pray that all who have been touched by the evil that was in Dean Corll has found a way to live on and move past it.

August 26, 2012 at 10:56 am
(115) tens says:

Henley is not a victim of Corll. In reality, Corll became a victim of Henley when Henley shot him.

Henley by his own words enjoyed torturing and murdering kids…this fact alone makes him a murdering psychopath. But more than that, he enjoyed doing it to friends and kids he knew, some of whom he put in that situation. To call Henley a victim, no doubt a position that Henley would encourage, just makes you another one of his victims. If you read some of the early interviews in time magazine with Henley, Henley sounds like a classic charming sociopath. He enjoyed killing and torturing. And both Brooks and Henley loved and admired Corll.

One reason Rhonda catches flack is that she has gone to various forums and posted how a book is coming out that tells the real story of what happened that night and beyond. It sounds pretty exploitative. She also has suggested in so many words that she was the one that convinced Henley to end the murders when she was “the girl on the board”. The other reason she gets grief is because she has sounded a sympathetic tone about Henley. As have some others who may have visited him in jail. The guy who killed her fiance and had a huge part in the torture murders in lots of young boys.

This all just sounds like a sociopath who had a great time torturing and murdering kids, now continuing to manipulate people and avoid real justice. There are many absurd components to this whole story from the unbelievably inept police department to the hesitance to have a lot more serious digging done on some of Corlls old haunts and other connections. But the fact that Henley can ever be up for parole consideration and have people considering him sympathetically has got to be number one.

August 26, 2012 at 11:26 am
(116) tens says:

That all said, I bet there will be interest in her book, and perhaps there will be some unknown and interesting things revealed in it. I just feel personally, that if you (anybody) takes a sympathetic stance towards Henley, when there is clear evidence that he was not some confused kid guided by some master psychopath, but someone who found a calling on the job and really enjoyed what he was doing, a sadist of the worst possible sort, that you will get grief over it. A lot of kids died in unimaginably terrible ways over a long period of torture. After and during being raped and psychologically abused. That is real. Most people consider them the victims. Not some guy that enjoyed killing them even if he might not have done it were it not for his “employer”.

Now is it possible that if Henley had never met Corll he would not have tortured murdered kids? Yes, he probably wouldn’t have done that. Might he have easily been able to kill though if he had gotten involved in robberies or other crimes? Yes he might have. Is any of this really relevant given his actions? No. Because he met Corll, and enjoyed what they did (his words) until one night when after doing something Corll didn’t like Corll turned on him and given the circumstances of that night Henley shot Corll to kill him.

Don’t forget, Corll had Henley on the board that night. Henley knew better than anyone what happens next. He probably figured even if he could convince Corll (and he was able to) to release him it is just a matter of time before Corll snuffs him out for whatever reason. Would he have shot Corll and freed both of them if Corll had not tied him up and threatened him with a nasty end that he had been a part of so many times with friends? Would he have shot Corll if Corll had not charged him telling he won’t do it? Not sure about that.

In any case, Henley ain’t no victim.

August 26, 2012 at 12:05 pm
(117) tens says:

More weirdness about the Corll movie and recent photograph found.

Some quotes from the link below:

“Another wife-beater style T-shirt worn in one of the film’s scenes reportedly has a blood stain on it that Vargas thinks could have come from one of Corll’s victims. The question is brought up, why are these items of clothing being used for actor’s to wear in a film?
Why instead are they not in the possession of law enforcement authorities for possible DNA analysis and comparison purposes? The case is still open after all these years.”

“I contacted Williams at the last known email address I had in my records in the process of writing this article to give her the opportunity to make a statement about Vargas and to see if she might have contact info for him, and she responded with a short statement as follows; “Josh is not my friend… I have not been in contact with him for approx 6 months. I and Melanie were the only ones there when he found the picture, and it is 100% photo-shopped.”

“This film is not a story but a ploy to profit from our love ones tragedy, and to promote Henley as something he is not, and that is a victim, and totally controlled by Corll. Actually, I believe it is the other way around, the killings and tortures got far more and worse when Henley joined up, as he lured his friends and neighbors and took part in everything that brought these “Friends of Wayne Henley” to their death and his profit and lust for torture and murder.”

“Yates added; “He did these things to his friends, and he helped Corll and initialized these tortures and killings as he was the first to do the horrible things that he did. It takes a cold blooded murderer to do the things he did, and that is who he is and not someone controlled. This film is a forest, not the truth, because Henley is a liar and Corll isn’t here to tell the story differently. “He is a con man and manipulator, he hasn’t changed.”

(118) tens says:

Just a few last thoughts.

One way, beyond all the other evidence such as his words in interviews, that you know that Henley is unusually charming and manipulative, is when you consider that child killers generally don’t do well in prison. To put it mildly. Child torture rape killers, with many multiple victims? That were friends?

Why would the mom hide his things like that in a bus in a field? What’s the motivation? Was it that she didn’t want it in the house because it disgusted her? Was it to hide something? What was there left to hide? He sang like a bird and what he said was incriminating (though sociopaths are known for telling half truths so could the truth be actually much worse with regards to his involvement?) Why would the mom hide it and not give it to investigators to help out? There could very well be evidence there. Why aren’t the police grabbing this stuff and looking at it right now? The technology of today could probably be useful. Could there have been a crime committed in hiding this stuff?

August 28, 2012 at 6:42 am
(119) tens says:

Why does there continue to be apparent indifference with this case police wise? Why hasn’t Corlls old properties been looked at and accessed for possible excavation? He was seen using the same plastic wrap way before the first murders were thought to have taken place, supposedly for spoiled candy which sounds like a strange excuse. They invented garbage cans for that.

It goes beyond lameness. It’s bizarre. They didn’t check out a porn ring connection, when some of the kids pics had been found, because the parents had been through enough? Ironically, part of the reason likely some of them went through what they did was because of a beyond incompetent PD. Shouldn’t the police be looking at this camera that was found in the bus and comparing it to the pics found of the boys? Isn’t that there were pics found of some of the victims in the past a very interesting thing?

Beyond the brutality, this is a strange case on many levels.

Hi Bonnie

My information is just from reading around online. I didn’t know any of Corlls victims or his accomplices. This serial killing imo is one of the if not the worst of all time when you take into account of… the suffering of the victims and the evil cruelty, the slickness of Corll, the two sociopaths he as able to find to help him, the indifference of the police from the time of the killings till after (I mean, that alone should be investigated), how 2 of the killers are coming up for parole and have people actually defending them as possible victims themselves… it reminds me of the women falling in love with serial killers in prison phenomenon, likely due to the magnetism and natural high testosterone of the psychopath. I just feel bad for the real victims of the case, which were the kids and family.

I think Rhonda’s story would make very compelling reading, the night of Corll’s death and her own aftermath lost in the eddy of a National Story of such horrific proportions.
But it is clear that like so many other women she is being played by a soiciopathic con.
One of the hall marks of the sociopath is the ability to put on whichever face he wants to manipulate the vunerable.
I do take issue with Rhondas contention that she was ‘tortured for hours’contradicting both Kerley’s and Henley’s statements(with all he told police why would Henley lie about that for God’s sake?)
Rhonda do you have any idea the severity of the torture that those boys endured and the sheer savagery with which Corll inflicted it?
You wouldnt have walked out of that house with nothing more then cut up clothes.
And now you seem to be trying to portray yourself as being mainly responsible for ending the murders….Corll’s hold on Henley being no match for the bond you too somehow shared…
Its a pity you werent there a few days earlier when your dear friend Wayne helped Corll torment and torture 13 year old James Dreymala to death…apparently nothing Henley saw that day even Corll torturing him “So bad he needed an apron.”according to Henley…troubled your buddy enough to intervene then.
I think the truth of your story would be wonderful and helpful but sorry trying to re-write it as some picaresque romance with Wayne as the put upon hero is going to continue to offend folks.

(131) Linda says:

With all due respect, rain 73, you were not there and you have no idea what Corll actually did to Rhonda while the other two were still unconscious or out of the room. No way would she have walked out of that house “with nothing more than cut up clothes”. And yes, of course she is very aware of how these boys died – how many times must people be reminded that her fiancé was one of them? Wayne was READY to get out of the situation and at that point in time. Rhonda WAS the one there who was able to convince him to end it once and for all. They were NOT boyfriend-girlfriend, but Wayne did save her life that morning. They WERE good friends. Actually, she is very much like Tim Kerley was when he said he didn’t know if he would shake his hand in thanks for saving their lives or punch him in the face. In order for her to make some kind of peace with it all and try to live her life after wards; she HAD to come to terms and deal with what happened. Tim was not so lucky. He never found a way. Would you have been happier if Rhonda and Tim had been killed that morning thereby potentially leaving Corll to continue doing dastardly deeds probably right on up until today?

So again I am asking that people STOP treating Rhonda like she is the criminal. She has done nothing wrong. The story of her life is horrendous and the Mass Murders play only a part in her history. Why don’t you just wait, read her story, if you will, and THEN pass your judgment instead of relying on the half-truths of reporters film makers, and others in the media who are mostly after sensationalism and basically have no respect for the truth.

(132) Olddog53 says:

Henely killed Corll to save his butt. There was no way Corll was going tolet Henley live after he had tied him up, Henley was clever enough to tell Corll what he wanted to he but Henely knew his days were numbered.

Nobody is treating Rhonda like a criminal but when she says she is going to tell the real truth about the HMM that does have people asking what she realy knows. She only knows what happened from the time she walked into Corll’s house through the time Corll was killed.

I don’t think the case files and court documents are half truths, it is very interesting reading and based on those documents Henley and Brooks should never ever see the outside of a prison.

I don’t believe anything has been mentioned about the case files and/or court documents being “half truths”. People tend to read into things what they will in order to make them fit whatever agenda they may have, and I have seen this happen many times over and I see it happening again. It’s sad. In the end, it will all come out.

From an impartial point of view. It’s hard not to notice the negativity aimed at Rhonda in different comments. Some are from the same people, and some not. What I don’t see is any negativity in her earlier comments. I find that interesting. Rhonda, I look forward to reading your book.

(136) tens says:

Rhonda’s problem is that she has defended Henley and made sympathetic remarks about him. They are all over the internet:

She has also said how she will tell the real story of what happened with the murders and how she stopped them. Now it seems it’s focus will be more of an autobiography.

Henley getting sympathy … that will never fly no how. The guy tortured murdered kids. End of story. He should be a nightmare in a book not something that comes up for parole where the victims parents have to relive it again. If you think for a second that people with any good sense of decency are going to stand by while some try and make him out to be a victim of corll especially as he is eligible for parole, well, I would think again.

Doris, for an impartial person, you sure are pretty knowledgeable about Corlls grave upkeep.

(139) tens says:

I would be thanking my lucky stars that I got out of there alive. She deserves credit for not just freaking out and instead challenging him but she was also likely lucky this all happened after Corll had tied up Henley and put a gun to his stomach for bringing a girl over. You have to consider that Henley may have been angry with Corll and fearful of what could be another time.

Don’t forget, Henley tortured and murdered his friends. He wasn’t a life saver. He was a torture murderer of friends. He was a life destroyer. She was lucky she was a female which created the ruckus in the first place and that Corll had just almost done Henley.

This is not a good guy who fell in with the wrong crowd or under the influence of some evil guy. He wasn’t some guy along for the robbery and a cop got shot through circumstance. He was seducing kids off the street, bringing his friends, young kids, taking them to a fate of immense physical, emotional and psychological suffering which he participated in every step of the way. This is the behavior of someone that does not have normal empathy or a conscience. And is quite sadistic.

I think in some interview Henley said that Corll would have been proud of how he shot him.

September 12, 2012 at 12:05 am
(140) olddog53 says:

Henely made the comment that old dean would of been proud of him in his interview with Time Magizine in 75 or 76, he also said he enjoy murdering and got good at it. Henely remines me a little of Manson’s inner circle who killed for him. He may not of ever murdered any body if it were not for Corll but Henely already had a dark side that did not stop him from killing. I find it interesting that the murders happened at a quicker pace once Henely came into the picture.

September 12, 2012 at 12:11 am
(141) olddog53 says:

You don’t have to read anything into the case files or the court transcripts. They are what they are, the facts of the case are there. We have Brooks confession, several times, we have Henely’s confession, we have statements by TK, RW, BR and others. The facts are pretty clear. I do however wish the investigation went deeper as there was more to uncover.

(142) Linda says:

I totally agree, dog, and don’t see why nothing is being done now. Still want it kept under the rug I guess – out of sight; out of mind. Wayne did the things he did and there are no excuses. Sure, if he had never met Corll, he probably would have never done what he did but the facts are HE DID do those things and is being punished for them. They were horrible and inexcusable acts. I wish Dean had lived so he could have been punished as well. He was the mastermind and David is keeping quiet just as he always has. He has to know more but I am certain he will take what he knows to his grave. That is sad for the families as well.

(143) Linda says:

Tens (136) – Rhonda’s book was always going to be autobiographical. I pointed that out for obvious reasons because folks seem to want to find fault with what she is doing Just Because They Seem to Want to and that’s just plain wrong. Setting the record straight here, so to speak.

September 12, 2012 at 11:41 am
(144) tens says:

The reason some have done that linda is because of earlier statements made in various places online which people have read.

I think Henley may very well likely gotten involved with something bad if not for Corll. Probably not murdering young boys who were his friends in the neighborhood bad, but likely making someones life miserable whether it’s through crime or the typical one on one sociopathic relationship.

Many people don’t think he has paid. Torture murdering kids equals a prison sentence where he comes up for parole? That’s crazy.

Henley talks because he wants to get out. He’s a talker and always has been. He used that same talking to get kids and friends in the car so he could butcher them. I’m not impressed with Henleys talking at all and don’t believe much of what he says. I think he was more involved then he lets on and he uses what he chooses to disclose to try and create an image that he is sorry and trying to be helpful. The time to have helpful was when he was shooting kids in the head or putting glass tubes in urethras and bringing his friends in for butchery as he likely got off on their confused betrayal and suffering… I don’t buy it. I believe that he enjoyed coming up with ways to torture people and kill them like a coprisoner in a youtube video said. That makes a lot more sense.

Corlls the bad guy, Brookes the bad guy… bs. They were bad guys but this bad guy is still at it manipulating people to try and create support for his push to get paroled. I bet he will have a real private laugh if it ever happens. Thinking to himself how he was albe to manipulate people into releasing a child torture murderer in one of the worst serial killer cases in us history. He’ll be thinking, what a bunch of idiots. He’ll be thinking, just like the ones we butchered. Dumb prey.

(147) tens says:

Just so I’m not misunderstood, I don’t mean to imply that Henley’s victims were dumb prey, or that people that believe his stories and portayals necessarily are – the slain kids were innocent victims who had the very bad luck of stumbling onto real evil – Henley and co. Prey is how sociopaths think about and treat normal people with a developed conscience and empathy. They think of normal people in a best case scenario as objects to be used for gain and a little less best as delusional pests to be destroyed for fun. Some say they are jealous of those who can experience real joy and love and human connections and are kind so they destroy it: sometimes outright and other times through slow sly brilliant manipulation and initially subtle abusiveness with has an addictive effect.Others say they are simply evil and spread evil influence through their often abusive actions throughout the world.

They can fool well trained professionals including top docs in the field and beat lie detector tests. They can easily see the lies will tell ourselves and what we refuse to see and exploit it. In addition to everything else, it can be pretty ego bruising and unsettling when ones realizes that they have been duped. Sometimes when people find they have been fooled they cannot admit it or face it because their ego has a hard time processing it.

September 12, 2012 at 1:37 pm
(149) tens says:

Who knows what the truth is with a lot of this stuff.

“Authorities” did find pornographic photos/films that involved 11 of the victims. To me it seems likely these pictures and films were taken before they were torture murdered. I mean like a day or two before. The other scenario is that they had been doing this for a while and then were killed. This doesn’t make sense because it seems Corll and co killed random people who they seemed to have had no connection with. The mail goal was the torture and kill.

It leads me to believe that Brooks and Henley know a lot more about that then they lead on. Did they actually help with that too? Set up the shots? A camera and pic was found among Henleys stuff. If the pics and filming proceeded at least 11 of the killings then sure Brooks or Henley or both knew of it. Did they sell the pics for some cash? Was the sex slavery ring comment attributed to Corll, true or not, meant to divert attention to some unknown vague thing Corll was a part of when really it was just a little something extra they all did and were a part of?

Pretty crazy as well that the Houston authorities declined to pursue any possible link to the serial killings, stating they felt Corll’s victims’ families had ‘suffered enough’.

September 12, 2012 at 1:53 pm
(150) Linda says:

Almost leads me to consider that the law officials may have already known about the sex ring – who knew WHO on the force might have even been somehow involved – maybe not with Corll – and didn’t want an investigation done along those lines. So many unanswered questions.

They had made many enemies. C was actually very shy. M was the complete opposite. He had a temper. When they disappeared we figued someone got them over a drug deal gone wrong, ad the were possibly hiding. I never thought they were dead. I figured they would show up sooner or later.

I have yet to have anyone remember bein approached aproached by his uncle.

I think Olddog53 is referring to detective Karl Siebeneicher, who was a cousin of Marty Ray Jones. (157) Rhonda says:

I know who he is referring to. I’ve had a little contact from Siebeneicher since coming out of hiding. I had no proof on whom he was so I said very little back.
I personally was never questioned by anyone. Not even when Frank disappeared. I got a call from Mrs. Aguirre the next day asking if he was at my house. I said “no” and she hung up. That was it. Strange they never asked more questions. I never heard from them again till years after Aug. 8th.
My closest friends Sheila H., Darlene H., Johnny R., Larry Z., Paul H., Cindy B., John M., James D., (I could go on) were never asked questions until AFTER August 8th from what I’ve been told. No one said anything about being questioned before that date. We all hung out together, and our houses surrounded our friend’s homes who “ran away”. We knew when someone disappeared. We’d ask our own questions, and looked for them between ourselves. We thought it was strange that our friends would “run away” when they had good relationships with their families. Only family members and friends were asking questions. No questions from M.’s family either.
If law enforcement were asking questions then they missed my entire gang which does NOT make sense to me. Since we smoked marijuana I think someone would have said something about law enforcement coming to our homes. I’ve asked my friends about it through the years, and we all find it questionable that any law enforcement was involved. If they did exist maybe they only spoke to parents, and never thought we were important???

I will say that the PI that was hired was the only one that spoke to a few in my gang.

I’ve always prayed that these families will find closure. I pray you would do the same thing, but your actions don’t seem to have any positive motives.
Forgiveness does not mean you forget. It means you have found the closure to go on with life. Holding onto anger is a poison. It eats you from inside. We think that hatred is the weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. Hatred is a curved blade, and the harm we do we do to ourselves.
I’m not the kind of person who wants to live with so much negativity inside me. I have plenty of “Tens” who want to try to shame me for not dying on August 8th, 1973 to do that for me.
Why do you feel I should be as consumed with hate as those who hate me? Do those people pat you on the back when you attack me?
What gives you the right to pass judgment on me?
How does it make you feel when you shamelessly attack and re-victimize victims?
You do realize you have done one of the worst things imaginable to an innocent victim?
If this had happened to one of your family members who survived, and years later they decide they need to let the hate subside to have a happier life. Would you punish them for wanting to let go of the negative things surrounding their heart so they can heal? Would you applaud someone for attacking your family member? Would you encourage them to stalk your family member the same as you are stalking me?
You said you know what my problems are even though you don’t really know me. If you don’t know me, and I’m not a criminal then who are you to pass judgment on me?

For the most part HPD did not investigate Missing Person Reports until after Corll was killed. It was the parents who were doing all of the investgation on the own. In reading the case files Mr. Coble was always at HPD presenting information and had even brought people in with him to talk to the police. According to Brooks most of the kids had troubled homes or had been in trouble with the law so it would not be unusual for them to run away. I’m not saying all were trouble but again according to Brooks some were.

But he couldn’t have talked to them all because some of Wayne’s friends saw Wayne walking down the street with Marty and Charles the night they disappeared.
Thanks Rhonda for providing more info on this. I didn’t know Charles was your cousin. I look forward to reading your book when it comes out.
Olddog, I did read that Karl died in 1977. I had read it was a suicide. Apparently he felt guilty over Marty’s death. But I don’t know it that is true or not.

I think your being a little mallow dramadic. People have a right to their comments but that does not mean your being judged but if that is how you feel then why do you even bother to reply. September 16, 2012 at 7:39 am
(163) tens says:

Hi Rhonda

I’m not stalking you at all. I do agree with you actually that hate can be a very destructive and unhealthy emotion. However, it’s one thing to not hate and forgive, and another thing to turn that into Henley was also a victim of Corll or that Henley was really a good guy who didn’t know better who fell under the influence of a monster or that he has somehow made up for what he did. Henley’s own words show he was a cold blooded torture murderer, the absolute worse of the worst. He brought his own friends in to be tortured to death. I think the devil would have more heart than this, don’t you?

The guy is totally responsible for his actions. Yes he shot corll, yes he helped uncover many of the bodies (that he helped kill and bury), yes he freed you (they generally didn’t “do” women) but all this suggestion that Corll or Brooks were someone how more-monsterish and Henley was just another unfortunate victim doesn’t compute logically. To me it makes more sense and fits a certain profile that he is trying to generate sympathy and pity with being so “helpful” and “remorseful”. He is trying to get out of prison.

The issue only comes up for me because in reading about this very interesting story on many levels I often run into some of the same old comments by a few suggesting that wayne has made up for what he did, or was really a good person who was influenced to behave like a sadistic psychopath who gave peace to the families by showing where the bodies were (actually, he destroyed these families lives, that’s what he did).

- continued -

September 16, 2012 at 7:44 am
(164) tens says:

It’s obvious to me in the writings that there is an apparent intention to subtly or not paint wayne as an also victim. It’s always done by first stating that yes he did what he did, and must be responsible for that, but in fact, he was also a victim of corll, like so many others. I agree with the first 2 ideas in this, he did do it and must be held responsible, its that he was a victim i disagree with. A victim doesn’t enjoy torturing and killing his friends. People who do that have different brains that behave in certain ways.

People seem to be suggesting, well, would someone who was really evil and not under the influence of a monster help show where all the bodies were and express remorse (which he didn’t years later in interviews but apparently has since) and offer to sell his art to help the families for example unlike say Corll (who is dead) and Brooks (who stays quiet)?

How could someone who acts so helpful and remorseful and kind have been a person who would torture, murder, rape and kill his friends of his own will and choice unless he was manipulated and controlled by an evil genius? Corll was after all was doing this before he met Henley. And Henley by all accounts was not offing his friends and non friends until after he met Corll.

September 16, 2012 at 7:46 am
(165) tens says:

Well, if we keep it simple and go just by the actions committed (enjoying torture murdering raping) and consider the psychological profile of one who would do such acts, the answer may be to manipulate people by generating pity and sympathy. To act remorseful and kind and “helpful”. Why? For kicks and giggles and to possibly lend support to parole efforts. From what I have read, he wants to be paroled and is encouraging the effort. He is not saying, you know, I killed all these kids, I’m sorry, I should be at a minimum where I am forever. He’s not doing that. He is trying to get out.

The tragedy is that the families have to reminded of all this every time he comes up for parole. For me it all about the families and the real victims of the HMM. The kids that were raped, tortured for days and murdered. Good luck with your book, should be interesting.

(166) tens says:

Last comment on this.

Is it possible Corll identified certain latent sociopathic tendencies in Henley and expoited them or encouraged them? Or if not that, he detected a desire in Henley to please him which in effect brought out these tendencies or shaped his sociopathy? That’s possible for sure. But it is neither here nor there. It’s not Corll’s fault that Henley decided that Corll is a great man and that he should support efforts to rape/torture/murder kids and even beyond that, facillitate it, participate in it and, what is really telling, enjoy it. Corll if anything was just bringing out someones potential. If anything, Henley surpassed Corll.

Henley brought his friends to Corll. Henley was able to manipulate Corll to free him from the board. And then Henley actually shot and killed Corll. And then remarked later that Corll would have admiired how he did him. Which kind of suggests that he was talking about how assuredly and coldly he did it… no feeling or emotion (beyond maybe sadistic enjoyment), just taking him out, like they did the kids. No real remore or feeling all the way around.

End of the day, we are all responsible for our actions. It would have been bad enough if he had been involved with Corll and killed one kid and then right after that went to the police with remorse after seeing the suffering he caused the poor victim. But he kept on killing, enjoying it, never went to the police, turned it into something much worse with corll, and the only reason it ended was because of what happened.

(167) tens says:

Just to address a few other points in your post Rhonda:

I don’t and I don’t think other people wanted you to die as you say. Sounds a little odd of you to say that really.

I think actually you were very smart that night, based on what I have read. I think you handled Henley very well in terms of how you appealed to him. I also think you were perhaps a little lucky that Corll had likely angered and scared Henley a little earlier with tying him up. So no, I think it is a really great thing you survived on the contrary.

Again, the reason i think some people have any issues is because of a perceived framing of Henley as some kind of also-victim. This guy killed and tortured the kids. He created the victims. He wasn’t a victim. To suggest otherwise is supremely insulting to the murdered victims families in my view. Also, when I know when I first heard of the book it sounded a little exploitative, like we would learn the real story behind the killings. Which also raises questions, like from whose perspective? Unless you were there all the time, it would have to be from someone else.

In any case though I wish you well with the book and I hope you can understand why some people raise objections or have questions. Good luck.

September 16, 2012 at 10:31 am
(168) tens says:

That should have read:

“I don’t and I don’t think other people hate you and shame you for not dying as you say. Sounds a little odd of you to say that really.”

Another thing was that movie that was/is being made, that I think you were briefly involved in, in the beginning. I believe you said somewhere it would be based on your book. I know you have since said that you are not involved anymore, but reading the description of the film, it also seemed to paint Henley as a victim who became a man in the middle of a nightmare, almost like he is a heroic figure rising above great adversity, as opposed to a notorious serial killer. It seems like more of the same of Henley as victim.

Anyway, I am done discussing this. I just wanted to try and explain my feelings behind all of this. Thanks.

(169) Linda says:

No, this film is NOT based on Rhonda’s book by any means. IF the film does what most of us hope it will do, it will show young people how easy it is to get in over their heads and be manipulated by older individuals to do their every bidding with the underlying threat of the total annihilation of themselves and their entire families for non-compliance. It IN NO WAY excuses Wayne for what he did, how he did it, and whether or not he grew to enjoy his actions. NO ONE is defending this aspect of the case. Even Wayne does not offer excuses for what he did. Rhonda’s book WILL reveal much more about those involved (with the possible exception of Dean and David) and their lifestyles as they were a large part of her inner circle at that time. I do take exception to the idea that Wayne was totally victimless because he was trapped. And we can all agree that he took the wrong way out, of course. He gave in, and that is unforgivable. He knows the way he handled it was wrong and he is paying for it. Period. Kudos should be given, however, for him stopping Dean once and for all and for freeing Rhonda and Tim and bringing to an end the madness. The rest is inexcusable.

Again we all know why Henely killed Corll so no need to beat this into the ground, you can look at it anyway you want to. Linda please tell us why you support Henely being paroled and how do you feel about him selling his Killer Art and trying to make a buck off his fame?

(171) tens says:

I’ve read that too.. that part of why Wayne did not say anything or report it or continued killing was because he was afraid Corll might go after his brother or his family. Or that he would be “totally annihilated”. Isn’t that just a lame excuse though? Isn’t it more likely Wayne just enjoyed torturing and killing (his own words essentially) and as Brooks said, like to cause pain and suffering?

If Wayne had gone to the authorities with any proof like he could have provided they would have grabbed Corll in a second and his family likely would not have been in danger. Henley was a moderately intelligent guy according to sources, he was not an idiot. They would have been hunting people down… if ever there was even any “sex slavery ring” to begin with, where in fact apparently all the victims are actually murdered by the ring of Corll, Brooks and Henley. Besides, his family could have been relocated. Instead, it was everybody elses family that was in danger, as Henley, Corll and Brooks killed kid after kid.

That’s just sounds like a very poor and ridiculous excuse to me. He killed because he liked doing it and he admired Corll. He didn’t fear him.

It’s one thing to say I refused to get involve or report something because I was afraid someone could come after me. It is a totally different bag of bones to say well I just kept on killing and having a good time because I was afraid my killer friends may come after me. That’s absurd.

You know, he was already a killer himself pretty soon into it. To say anything gets himself imprisoned as well. Even the way he put it… that he thought Corll liked his brother “a little too much”… what an odd way to put it… I mean they are raping and torturing and murdering kids left and right. How does Corll like a kid too much? Kill him extra?

This to me:

“it will show young people how easy it is to get in over their heads and be manipulated by older individuals to do their every bidding with the underlying threat of the total annihilation of themselves and their entire families for non-compliance’

sounds like a very big excuse.

to me it sounds like what is really being said is how easy it is be manipulated by someone to start torture murdering your friends and other kids (and enjoy it) under the threat of “total annihilation” of self or family…

and if he is saying that he was afraid of corll and feared for the safety of his family, well that is kind of a partial excuse, however absurd

(173) tens says:

“Rhonda’s book WILL reveal much more about those involved (with the possible exception of Dean and David) and their lifestyles as they were a large part of her inner circle at that time.”

That mostly just leaves Wayne as a good part of the source of information regarding the killings right?

To say Wayne was trapped is a big excuse. He wasn’t trapped. He went into it willing to rob and kill, he wanted to do this, he wasn’t forced, and ended up robbing houses, and luring, trapping, torturing, and murdering kids, including some childhood friends. By his own words he liked Dean. Dean was always good to him. And I bet dean liked him very much too.

The only people who were trapped in all of this were the poor souls who were strapped to that board. They were to experience beyond excruciating pain, unimaginable fear of more pain and possible death, the pain and agony of being raped, tortured more until the torture couldn’t please the sadistic anymore, and then slowly killed, with no hope of help or of mercy, only more suffering.

That’s who was trapped.

(175) tens says:

You know, even if this were all true, even if Henley was afraid for his life and his families life and got in “over his head”, you know, made some poor decisions, had a few bad days, even if he was really just a scared kid who was “not old enough” to know what the right thing to do was, who was controlled by some very bad briliiant guy, even if he has suddenley grew a conscience recently in prison and found some remorse, and we ignore the evidence such as actions and words that reveal a sadistic predator who continues to manipulate people and turn them into willing dupes, he still deserves no less than the death penality for the rape torture murder of so many kids. I mean really, is even that fair?

One of the worse parts of this whole thing is that there are actually people out there supporting the parole and release of one of the most sadistic serial killers of all time. I can’t imagine what the real victims of the HMM, the families whose kids were raped, tortured and murdered, feel witnessing and experiencing this. The families that have to worry about parole hearings and continue to see wickedness at work. To have to be reminded of everything, to be unable to put this to rest. The unfairness of it all is staggering. It’s really worse than that isn’t it?

September 17, 2012 at 6:51 am
(176) tens says:

That was another one of his excuses wasn’t it? From some interview? That an older person would have known what to do? Basically suggesting that his age contributed to why he did it.

For a guy that makes no excuses, them sure are a lot of excuses. He’s saying he was scared for himself/family and too young to know the right thing to do.

Both of which appear to be quite false.
Too young to know that people suffering and begging for their life as a result of your actions while you enjoy it was not quite a nice thing to do. Not old enough to know what the right thing was exactly there.

But he makes no excuses.

No actually, those are excuses even if one or others say they are not excuses or excuses are not being made. Not only are they excuses, but they don’t even make sense when put next to each other.

In any case, a brain damaged 5 year old would know the right thing to do. And any half decent folk would have done what they could, taken heroic action, to stop such depraved evil.

If you look at the reality of the situation, there is no excuse for this, that is true. But he does make excuses. He just makes them and then says he doesn’t and that he accepts responsibility for what he did (like he has a choice, he is in prison for it, he did it) and then others repeat it back. If you make excuses, and then say you don’t, you actually do make excuses. You just say you don’t. That’s obvious.

It is interesting the many ways folks interpret the written word to fit whatever agendas they may have. Bottom line – as least as far as I am concerned – is that Wayne did what he did and received the harshest punishment allowable at the time for his crimes ~~~ shoulda-coulda-woulda notwithstanding.

Tens and others…
Sorry I really didn’t read the last 10 or so comments other than Linda’s. I did scan a few sentences, but I found myself yawning. Can anyone be original? Copying Internet stuff is worse than boring. I learned that stuff in college. It’s my degree Tens. Nuff said here!

Were you best friend with EVERY ONE of the kids in your school and neighborhood? I knew many of the kids by face or names, and many I had no clue about. I had my best friend, our close friends that we hung out with, and a few others. No way could I have been friends with un-totaled number of kids who went to different schools, but lived in the Heights. Do you call someone you know the name of, and maybe nothing else your friend? Food for thought… The answer is unimportant.

Wayne never tried to get help or tell someone? I can think of several that were told, and things Wayne did to try to escape Dean. Oh yeah… What would I know as stated again and again? More than anyone thinks. Guess if you want to know you will have to read my book.

I have no clue if Linda thinks he should get parole or not. While she tries to understand what was going on back in the day, what she does or doesn’t do for parole is nunya business including mine.
Everyone is free to do what they want so stop your BS when it comes to what she wants to do. She doesn’t tell you what to do. Geesh! What is your deal?

Have I ever asked for Wayne to be released? NO! That should tell ya something. Why do yall waste your time on this?
What I do is what I choose to do. No one controls me. I find those comments and rumors on the Internet quite laughable. I have no interest to please Internet commentators. End of story!

Tens, you hold the record on this one. Way to go! Hurray! Didn’t want you to think I forgot to give ya credit. Does it do it for ya?

Actually I find what I read when I read crap on the Internet (how many sites about this are there as of today?) somewhat interesting, but it’s not bothering me as much as some would hope. I simply find disgusting attitudes belong to disgusting snakes. Many snakes have quite a few Internet nom de plumes so they can read themselves over and over. I think they are thrilled about themselves. IMO… megalomaniacs.

I see gossipy scuttlebutt repeated endlessly from site to site. Most of the comments I know positively are rumors started from an un-medicated bipolar pompous jerk, and his egomaniacal vainglorious murderbilia drug addicted aged cockroach that just happens to be an old dog born in 1953.

My therapist tells me to ignore you, which truthfully isn’t hard to do. I’ve had hardened Internet skin for many, many years. Sorry if I’m bursting your bubbles. I will tell you what I think of you as I’ve done a few times when I’m bored. Yall keep on keeping on.

If I want to comment I will, and you know the other side of that coin… Presently I’ve got other things to do for the next month or so. (:~

Try killing and torturing male children with David Brooks. There may be more individuals involved, but it best not to rekindle some things.

I do not want to cause some of the victim’s family more pain than they have already endured. It would be best to let sleeping dogs lie and not discuss the matter any further. They have paid the ultimate price. It serves no one.

(184) Olddog53 says:

Well Rhonda my math could be wrong. He got 6 each 99 year sentence, what does that come to 594 years. So 50% of 594 would be 297 years. I don’t think he comes any where close to serving half of his total sentence. If you think my math off please inlighten me where it is wrong. By the way some of the things that have been posted come srtaight from HPD and PPD files. Here is a questions I know you can’t answer but when Billy Ridinger and his mother gave their first interview why the police they talk all about how Corll had be close with the family and when they moved to Dallas and Corll was still in the army he use to go by and see them. But he never mentioned that Corll tortured and sexually abused him. I wonder why he did not mentioned this until he started showing up in pictures with corll?

Anyway, I want to read Rhonda’s book and see the movie because this is a highly unique case, and the most horrific one I’ve ever seen. I’ve posted elsewhere that the most disturbing thing about it is it could happen to anyone. It doesn’t matter how strong or smart you are, your demise could happen simply because of who you know. This wasn’t a stranger/danger situation, although Dean also picked up hitchhikers and other stragglers. These atrocities will give everyone nightmares for years to come.

I also wonder, starting with victim number one, not one of them ever let anybody else know where they were going? And I also want to know if the cops ever questioned anybody before the bodies were found.

The movie continues to be a lot of speculation for sensationalism reasons. He changed details to fit the budget, time limits, along with details he liked better from his head. It may be interesting, but just like the others not totally true. You can get the same info on videos presently for sale on Amazon. Try “Crime Stories” – Candyman, or you can watch it on Blood, Lies, and Alibis on the ID channel. They got a TON wrong on that one, but it will match the one under construction. Please don’t try to change your words and thoughts about his serving “at least 50% of his” sentence just because you don’t check your facts. 50% is 50%, right? His beautiful wife would totally agree with you that 50% is enough. You might want to re-check your facts there…

As someone who was an honor student on the Dean’s and President’s lists for years in college I assure you that half of 99 is 49.5. How did you do in math? Nope, I’m not really interested in how you did in math. I can tell how you did in research though.

Wayne is currently serving the same sentence as David Brooks. They were both convicted on the same murder with the same one 99 year term WITH parole. Not 6-99 years terms with NO parole O:

Damn! You didn’t notice he has parole hearings did you? Should have told ya something. That’s because his convictions were overturned, and he was re-sentenced for the same death as David Brooks. The person named Wayne that everyone wants to call “monster” was only charged with 1 death in the end. Not what you thought? He told everyone everything and only received 1 sentence cause both he and David were present when that person was killed.

Does that surprise ya? I’ll let you inform everyone who that 1 person is. I can’t do everything for ya now… ya know. Just do a “tiny” bit of research please, or you are welcome to read about it in my autobiography

(190) tens says:

Wow thats pretty twisted.

Henley was definitely convicted of 6 murders. Twice. The last time in 1979.

They are all in his texas prison record file. Each of the 6 murder cases, each carrying a 99 prison term, are listed in it.

It appears that he is serving 6 concurrent life sentences (according to news articles) as opposed to 6 consecutive sentences for the 6 murders. They run simultaneously so the 6* 99 year murder sentences run at once and in effect become one 99 year sentence. Brooks was just convicted of one murder which carries one life sentence.

Monster? He is as evil as they come.

6 life concurrent sentences:

September 20, 2012 at 2:52 pm
(191) tens says:

Here is an excerpt from a local news article from 1991 that mentions the 6 murder convictions and his 6 concurrent life sentences:

“Elmer Wayne Henley, convicted of the homosexual torture and murder of six Houston boys, on Thursday was officially denied parole for at least another year.

“I view his offense as one of the most notorious and heinous crimes of this century in the nation and certainly the state of Texas,” said Troy Fox, who was the second of three parole officials to vote against Henley’s release.

Earlier this week, parole board member Frank Eikenburg also voted to deny the 34-year-old prisoner his freedom. He is serving six concurrent life sentences for the murders, which occurred in the mid-1970s.”

Yeah, just a lovely guy.

Here it all is:

This was the second and final conviction:

This was the judges sentencing:

Looks like he tried to appeal that but that was shot down:

The wind up is he was convicted for 6 murders not 1 like brooks was.

And he did get 6 life terms, but they run concurrently. Brooks got 1 term for one murder (william lawrence).

Watch out for misinformation indeed.

September 20, 2012 at 3:43 pm
(193) tens says:

Here is how it happened.

Henley was convicted of 6 murders and given 6 consecutive life sentences for the 6 murders He appealed and got a re-trial.

He was again convicted of 6 murders in the retrial. Jury recommended a punishment of 6 concurrent life sentences. Judge complied.

He appealed this but it was declined.

Brooks was convicted of one murder and was sentenced to life.

Here is the second trial results:

September 20, 2012 at 3:52 pm
(194) tens says:

This is another news article from 1979 about the second trial and juries decision:

The last appeal failed.

So, Henley was convicted of 6 murders not 1 like Brooks was.
And he received 6 life term sentences (running concurrently) for the murders not 1 life term sentence like Brooks was.

Watch out for misinformation indeed.

I will do anything to keep this “thing” in prison for the rest of his pitiful life. If he does get the death penalty, I want to be there to see him die. I think that folks need to be reminded about what this Page is about. Originally, Wayne’s Page would accept comments about anything from anyone without any bias and, as some of you unfortunately experienced, it turned into a battleground extraordinaire (and NOT in a good way). So . . . Mimi and Wayne were forced to set new guidelines in order to create a positive environment. In particular, potential heated political discussions, as well as snide remarks about Wayne and his situation, do NOT belong here. There are PLENTY of other forums for these discussions out there and are easy to find. Any future remarks of these sorts – as well as detrimental remarks concerning other members – will not be tolerated and will be deleted. If these guidelines are not acceptable to you, then perhaps you need to find another “Friends” Page to pursue your ambitions. Thank you.

(218) Josh says:

Im the “scumbag” in question that os making the folm based on Wayne’s life. The film is the product of the most extensive research I’ve conducted in my life and is as accurate as a 2 hour film could be. It’s currently in the editing phase and I’m very proud of it. (I’m sure I’ll face some scrutiny over that statement, but not from anything with an I.Q above 50.)

Now to respond to some of the stuff I’ve read on herr;

First off, to make such a claim that Ms. Williams had any prior knowledge of those murders dating to any time before her own abduction is ludicrous. I’ve personally sat in the same room as Rhonda Williams and Wayne Henley. I carefully observed and participated in their conversations. I heard her questions and saw the confusipn of a 15 year old girl in a 50 year old womans body when she displayed still unanswered questions about August 8th, 1973. There’s no way she had anything to do with it. Funny and sad it is to me that the same people that would tear her down and accuse her of being apart of those crimes are the same people wjo call MR morally reprehensible for what I’M doing. Anyone else see the irony there?

As well, I did not make a films that presents Wayne Henley as a victim nor a hero. It presents him as a walking contradiction; someone who was so normal, yet abnormal. Someone who could be one person to one group of people, then a complete monster around another group of people. It’s a character study about a central figure in one of the worst mass murders in American history,…..not a Wayne Henley propaganda peice.

October 8, 2012 at 3:51 pm
(219) Josh says:

Lastly, people have inquired on why I took the picture to Wayne and took so long to get it to the authorities.
First off, the people I initially wanted to give it to didnt take it seriously. I told the “victim’s rights” superhero, Andy Kahan, about it and was ignored. (This didnt come as a surprise being that he refused money we tried to donate to the PARENTS OF MURDERED CHILDREN. I found this confusing being that they did endores THE TOY BOX,….an extremely graphic and violent film about the David Parker Ray torture-murders. Kahan homself allowed his own son to be in the film.)
It was, Barbara Gibson, who got the picture to Sharron Derrick after offering to do so for me. Mrs. Derrick then sent Ted Oberg to me and I agreed to be interviewed with the only stipulation being that the story focus on the picture, not the film. The picture was in a sealed envelope that contained various picture of Wayne and his friends. I doubt Mrs. Henley knew of its existence as it was by, Wayne.

There’s my two cents and it’s not going any further than that. I made the film because I wanted to and haven’t recieved one nickle of profit and wont until its sold. I have one regret about that decision. My research has done some good and added knew peices to the unfinished puzzle that is the Houston Mass Murders. The people out their ridiculing Rhonda are obsessed internet trolls. Who’s the scumbag?

With all due respect, Mark, I am in agreement with you about the grammar and spelling; however, I will give credit where I think it’s due. While bad grammar and spelling might make one come off appearing as a total drooling idiot, it also makes me wonder how some of these folks even know how to put one foot in front of the other one when they get out of bed in the morning, I do have to tell you that in Josh’s case, that has no bearing on his ability as a script writer. Any differences aside for now, I have read the script for IAMMW and it is excellent. It is very direct, vibrant and realistic and was difficult to put down until I could finish reading it. There is no pity party for Wayne Henley generated from within the script that I could see and is definitely not a ploy for his release. I know nothing about Josh’s ability as a director and/or as a film maker as I have never seen any of his work – I have only read this particular script – and if he has stayed true to his script in his producing, directing and filming of it as well as preserving the rationale behind it, the film should be able to make its mark in the annals of crime history.

Mark: Not yet. It’ll hit festivals this summer and then we’re taking it to A.F.M to put it on the market, so who knows. It’ll definitely be out at some point. If you’re ever looking for any updates, just find me on Facebook. Although, as soon as I get the music cleared the trailer will be out.

(226) ted says:

It seems to me that Wayne has gotten along fine with the other inmates over the decades. I see him in a picture smiling while holding his wife. Smiling again while hugging his mom. Showing off in the weight room. Apparently he has full use of his limbs, eyes, ears, nose and mouth. Maybe it’s his sociopathy that makes him blend in. As much as we wished that the inmates slaughtered him years ago, it apparently didn’t happen. I guess prisoners look after their own needs; they aren’t concerned about killing a child rapist-torturer just because it’s the right thing to do.

I was thinking about a theoretical torture perfect for Henley. He would be strapped to a wall, his head in a vice, with a rifle pointing two inches from his face. He will be instructed to smile and keep his smile. He will be forced to maintain an open ear-to-ear grin. The minute he loses it, a bullet will slam into that cocky face. After which he’ll be instructed to smile again. And when his smile tires – BLAM! Process repeated until death results.

Just had to get that off my chest. And the same fate should go to David Brooks with one variation. He’ll be forced not to blink.

I was wondering, anyone up to going to Dean Corll’s grave and pouring fertilizer all over it? It could be a healthy way to let off some steam.

I don’t think anybody believes Rhonda was involved in the murders in fact it is just the opposite. Most believe she knows nothing of what Corll, Henely and Brooks had been doing leading up to the night of August 7th and the morning of August 8th. If she did then she lied to the police.

Andy Kahn said at a recent gathering that he had requested Mr. Vargas not to promote his movie with the statement that Parents of Murdered Children would be given a percentage of the movie. The group did not want anything to do with Mr. Vargas or his movie. He also said that Mr. Vargas at the time of the gathering had not done what he had requested and he was probably going to send a letter to Mr. Vargas or get an attorney involved.

Oh, I know what that little snake SAID. Of coarse, I have emails backing up everything I said. Suffice to say that I haven’t heard from any “attorneys” nor recieved any email from Kahan himself stating anything other than him not taking our money……including when I emailed him about the picture. That guy is as much of a “victims rights advocate” as I am a Chinese jet pilot.

(230) Tom says:

Despite all the speculation over Henley, I still feel David Brooks’ story is more interesting, mostly because he knew Corll longer and so little information on his thoughts exist. This is not in his defense or Henley’s, I’m sincerely just very interested to know Brooks’ story and would even consider writing him to try and conduct an interview if I thought he’d give any response. Apparently he’s kept quiet for years and dodges a lot of questions otherwise (though anyone familiar with the case remembers he did identify one past victim). May the victims of the three men (and anyone else involved) rest in peace. I’m curious to get your insight though, what are your thoughts on Brooks Rhonda? There’s just so little information on that crucial piece of the puzzle.

October 14, 2012 at 12:18 am
(231) olddog says:

Tom, Brooks may have a more interesting story who knows. I will say I would like to hear more from Brooks about the night Corll and Henely attacked him, Henely hit him over the head knocking him out and when he woke up he was tortured by Henely and raped by Corll. Yet Brooks and Henely continued to pale around with Corll. Bunch of sic MF’s.

October 14, 2012 at 8:30 am
(232) Tom says:

Yes I’m well aware of Brooks’ abuse by Corll and Henley. I’m not asking about that though, and if you think I’m a supporter of parole for either, you’re sorely mistaken. I’m just trying to fill in blanks for a case that happened in the town I live, that nobody seems to remember except older folks (which is a shame). Brooks’ side was told once at the trial and never again, he is pretty consistently quiet, Henley on the other hand likes to talk (especially when he’s up for parole). If you cannot appreciate more info on Brooks then it’s fine. However I feel there’s a lot more there, that needs to be tapped before the man passes.

(236) casual observer says:

so Mr. Vargas – exactly how many surviving family members did you interview for this little project of yours? and how many other survivors – kids who were lucky enough to escape – did you interview?

so all you could really do is interview Rhonda and Elmer Wayne Henley Jr. , thats pretty much it – and who could ever suspect either of them might have other motives for telling whatever version of events they like? i am sure Elmer Jr. will tell the same version he has always told and point out that he is telling the same truth he has always told and therein it shows he is being honest, but really – none of us will ever believe he is telling the WHOLE truth. and Rhonda? well, she might clear up a few variable accounts of that last fateful night, but other than that she knows nothing else – or so she says. and of course you have gone through police files which is admittedly of some use, but hardly prime use since you cant offer any followups to any of the people interviewed. then you can read the several books and Texas Monthly articles i suppose, and old Chronicle microfiche.

i hardly see how your little flick can be spouted as anything new and i totally doubt it could be any more accurate than what is out there now. but i’ll still see it, just to provide info for others. none of us on the victim’s side wants to see it at all, but only for educational purposes, and it would ne too traumatic for many for obvious reasons – but i can take it. kinda need to know what is out there even though we see the whole thing as well as you as repulsive – learn more about the enemy, ya dig?. cant wait to see how bad this is, from what i have seen of your other work it cant be much more than high school amateurish at best. but hey – the 1st amendment is a wonderful gift our founding fathers left us and you are free to make use of it, and if i have the energy i may exercise my right to it to pan your little campfire horror flick as much as possible to ensure you stay in the red. but truthfully, i am pretty sure your own skills (or lack thereof) will do quite a good job of that on its own – of course, thats IF you ever get this rag past the first critics door. the only thing you have going for you is the sheer extreme savagery of this crime. good luck – and please – by all means keep us posted! inquiring minds want to know!

I’m sure he has spoken with Henely’s family, Brooks and his family, whats left of them won’t talk and I don’t thinl Corll’s brother or sister really knows anything.

So that really leave Henely the publicity hound and Rhonda.

Wow, pop a valium, buddy. You crime groupies tend to get way worked up quite easily. Calm down. Everything will be okay for you one day.

Yes, I spoke with Henley on numerous occasions, as well as, Rhonda. I’m also close friends with the Hilligiestd and it was through that medium. While I didnt talk about the case with her, I had a pleasant conversation with, Debra Aguirre. I had lunch with, Bruce Pittman,…..who was good friends with Wayne and alot of the kids that were killed. I spoke with Robin Ellerbe,….Wayne’s first girlfriend and friends with a lot of the boys that were killed. As well, I’ve spoken with Sharron Derrick, David Mullican, and Vance Mitchell from Pasadena P.D. As well, I have the 376 page case file that I know by heart along with the well-over 2,000+ page trial transcripts that I’ve read 5 times within the time I wrote the script. I also have every photograph that the police knew about, as well as every one they didn’t. Suffice to say that I’m comfortable with the results of my research.

No, I didn’t seek out victims families. Although, I spoke with any one of them that contacted me, I didn’t feel talking to them as appropriate for what I was trying to make. The last names and likeness of the victims in my film were altered after a few family members that I was in contact with expressed disinterest in their family members being further linked to Corll. Who would I be to not honor that? .

As far as the personal attacks go, they are the cutest and most adorable things I’ve read. Getting berated by some internet crime groupie is about the equivalent of watching a small Pomeranian chew at your pant leg; You know they mean harm, but they’re so small an insignificant that there’s no way not to chuckle at it and say “awww.” As far as the “quality” of my film goes, it sure has been enough to get my next film greenlit, so I’m content there being that living my dream is a wonderful thing. (I know that has to irritate you.) So, can you see how a microscopic forum dweller like yourselfs opinion doesn’t really matter?

The film I’m doing is about as far removed from a “horror” film as it could be. Excluding the death of Corll, there is one on-screen death in the whole film. We used less blood in that movie than a Halloween costume. You’te comments show nothing but how ill-informed and pathetic you are,.. but I’m not encouraging you to stop. My friends and I are chuckling at this and its not like you could actually do harm. So, go play! :)

You said it olddog! let me just add this – if anyone has any faith in the non-partisanship of Mr. Vargas. Some family supporters had a petition at the Heights Rotary Club crawfish boil last April – it was talked about in the Facebook page. Well lo and behold a guy approached the table acting innocent and curious and interested and said “oh yeah – my friend is making a movie about that “.

Coincidence? Yeah right. These guys saw the Facebook posts and knew we were there and sent a sentry to check it out. This is an event not commonly frequented by single guys in their late 20′s.

The clincher????

The guy flat refused to sigh the petition when asked.

Pretty simple math here folks.

Wow, lol. You people are ridiculous.Haha.

First off, if any of you people ARE related to any of those victims, the only things worse than their fates are the fact that you are the people representing them.

Secondly, my signature is on the petition to keep him in prison. I’ve never defended the sick stuff Wayne did. All I did was, quite simply, get the story from Wayne and the ase file and makea movie about it. It actually ticklrs me that you guys are so butt-hurt over that. Last I checked, had it not been for my research, the photo of that boy…..and a few other things that you peasants are important enough to know about,….would never have been found.

Speaking of….to say that I “held off” and used the picture to promote my movie is unbelievably stupid. Every person I contacted about it is on record and I plan on putting that out there eventually…..particularly the ones involving, Andy Kahn.

Lastly,…..you guys want the REAL truth?

It was ME! IM responsible for Dean Corll. You see, Dean came from the planet of NEBULARUS…..my home planet. He was suppose to come here and observe ONLY, but went against our rules. We sent one of our henchmen….Mr. Henley,….in to destroy him and save our mission. Soon the world will be OURS and you foolish earthlings cannot stop us!

HOUSTON — Elmer Wayne Henley has spent more time behind bars than free. The case that put him in prison is known as the Houston Mass Murders, and there were 28 known victims.

Henley led investigators to bodies of young men who had been tortured and killed, then buried all over the Houston area.

The murders didn’t end until Henley killed his partner, Dean Coryl, in 1973.

“I grew up in Pasadena when this was going on, when they were discovering the bodies. In that boat house and High Island,” Mike Anderson remembered.

Two victims are still unidentified.

“Horrible, horrible crimes he done to those young boys. My God,” recalled Lloyd Oliver.

Despite being sentenced to six consecutive 99-year terms Henley is already eligible for parole.

He was just denied parole again this week.

A group of victims’ family members were hoping to push whoever is the next Harris County DA to prosecute Henley for any of the victims identified since he was sent to prison in the 1970s. That way, they wouldn’t have to spend the rest of their lives fighting to keep Henley behind bars.

We took that idea to Democratic candidate for Harris County DA Lloyd Oliver, who suggested an unorthodox idea.

“Let’s see if we can get some sort of agreement with him and with the victim’s families where he could do another 50 years and we’ll just let him out. No parole, no nothing. Let him out,” he said.

Henley would be 106.

Republican candidate Mike Anderson is open to the idea of a new trial.

“If a police agency brings a case with evidence that appears it could sustain a conviction the DA should pursue that case. The consideration has got to be: is it the right thing to do to promote justice in this community and get justice for those that lost their sons?” he said.

Too many of those families are still reliving horror from decades past.

What goes around comes around Wayne and your getting yours for the evil you have done.

oh what i would give to have him in a room alone………..but in the end, i see him like Gollum. sad, lonely, pathetic. and like Bilbo – i would likely let him live, for the mercy he would get by death is far too kind compared to the hell he has to endure above ground. he has even admitted he has “unpleasant” dreams when he sleeps. DUH – ya think????

(255) rain 73 says:

Wow just re-read this whole thread including my own comment.
Rhonda I can see why you might feel alittle picked on…I fear my comment may have contributed to that for which I apologize.
I think part of the problem is that at different times and in different places youve given mixed messages about how you feel about Henley..
Well,so what?
It would be a miracle if you DIDNT have mixed feeling about him.
Though Im sure you can understand those quick to point out ‘Yeah,he saved you but you wouldnt have been there to begin with if not for him.’
Or that for many especiallly those close to the victims, the attrocities he particpated in will never be mitigated by any enlightenment he may have accheived in his later years.
Of course I dont think you were ever trying to make the case that it should.
I do think it speaks very well for you that you havent succumbed to bitterness and can look at those ,including Henley who have wronged you with a measure of forgiveness.
I do think you had a major role in ending the murders in that it was something about YOU that pierced the heart of a very desensitized young man who obviously had turned off his empathy switch long before and was clearly missing some fundamental pieces..
For whatever reason, the other victims didnt mean anything to Henley but you did.
You dont have any reason to be criticized for that.
I wish you nothing but the best and I hope you finish this project.
I want to hear your story and I would love to read about the dynamics of being a teenager in that place and time for you and your group of friends.I
It would be interesting to know what became of many of them..
Josh…good luck I hope the film does well and regardless of what anyone says I think this story is important and has been languishing in obscurity for too long and I thank you for trying remedy that.
Its long overdue.

Poor Wayne, Poor Rhonda. Let’s just kind of re-cap. Corll was going to kill Henly for bring Rhonda over to his house which ruined his plans to rape, torture and kill TK. Henley was clever enough to talk Corll into releasing him. Now do you think at that point Henley knew his days were numbered? I think it is safe to say yes. I will cut Rhonda a little slack. At that point in time she did not know Henley was a homosexual serial killer so I can understand her confusion during that period, but later when she discovered he had helped rape, torture and murder her fiancé DA and her cusion CC and lied to her about it and she continues to support his release from prison then and they remains to this day then she is going to be criticized and rightly so.

He held them hostage, tortured them, locked 3 of them into a closet and nailed it shut. Hung another one up on a door. And beat and drowned the other one, The other one, Eddie Eugene Seat was taken into the bathroom, beaten and then drowned. For the longest time, they, the police, thought he was involved with these murders, because of the ages of his victims 16-19 and the fact that 4 of them were males…

Old Wayne and I do mean old, he is looking rough, was on TV last night and is still not able to take responsibility for his actions. It was not his fault because of his age or because he was drunk and on drugs. He even goes so far to say a friend or his was killed but could not admitt that it was him self who helped kill him. I feel he does not truly understand why he is in prison as he keeps saying they are punishing a 15 year old. I think he thought he would go to jail, do a little time and get out and everything would just fine. Well you do murder 6 boys and help murder 24 others and get out of prison. Your just damn lucky the Death Penalty and been put on hold when you went to trial cause you sure would have gotten it you POS.

I hope the kid on the polaroid is identified and he be laid to rest too. There are still 2 unidentified remains from when they found the bodies under the boat storage. I hope Henley & Brooks rot in hell.. No pity for them, wrong is wrong and a human would know that, obviously they arent human!!! As far as the movie goes, I have no desire to see it as nothing will make me change my mind about any of them, Corll, Henley or Brooks, all monsters. Henley personally knew my mothers cousin and knew he was murdered…what a friend…and all the other vicitms they were “friends” with. Its situations like this, why cant we have eye for an eye? I’d love to have him tortured, sodomized, burned, raped and shot in the eye… Sad to hear someone making a movie about “his side” Really?!? What side, he was on a drugged fueled killing spree with friends and now says it’s not his fault cause?!? Own up to your actions, for fks sake, been long enough you should know what you did was wrong and hell to the no do I want this monster free!!

This is so sad, how old are you people? Please tell me none of you are over 25? I’m 20 and I find it so sad your on here arguing about pathetic things like grammar and tattoos. And for god sakes your sitting there on your computer attacking someone (Rhonda) who, unlike you, was moments away from death and decides to shed light on something that happened 30 years ago. Who cares if she doesnt know everything that happened, I’m pretty sure you dont either. But seeing as how she almost because a part of this rampage, she has more of a right than anyone here to pass judgement or write about it. This is so sad, this is the generation I have to call me elders? People who sit on here and take cheap shots at each other when the whole point of this page was to discuss details and possibly link facts together, and give family members of victims a place to reach out to each other? 90% of you need a big reality check, being egotistical and believing whatever you read on the internet will get you no where and just make you look like a bunch of idiots.

olddog? I’m confused about what you said abut my reaction. I am not sure what you meant but anyway, I was wondering why anyone would go to such extremes to obtain those files if they weren’t going to (1) write a book or (2) get some sort of sick and twisted pleasure out of reading about them? Maybe it is a hobby of yours. Think I would find something else to obsess over. Yes, there has been more than enough blood money made over these murders over the years at the victims’ expense and I think it is time to stop all this. You should probably find yourself a new hobby if that’s the only reason you wanted the files. That is really disgusting.

Channel 26 ran another segment on the HMM laster night, nothing really new was reported but on one hand it sure makes wayne mad that his murders are back in the news be cause as long as it is on peoples mind it hurts his chances for parole, but his ego loves all of the new found attention he is getting. The guy is a camara hound for sure. I hope he keeps talking cause when he does he sounds so stupid when says he should be set free cause it was not really his fault his helped kill his friends.

(280) olddog53 says:

Henley made the statement recently that he does not believe in the parol system because they won’t let him out yet they let idiots out, that is not fair to him. Wayne just because they are idiots and not as brillaint as you does not mean that they murdered 6 of their friends and helped murder anthor 24 boys. For that crime is the reason why family members and others protest to the parol board you’ers and Brooks release, that is our right. I can’t find any where in our laws that says your have a right to be released, only a right to appear before the parole board. You sound like every other POS in prison complaining how the system is not fair and that you should be released. You may have had hundreds of support letter there were thousands opposing your release. I don’t think the parole board pays to much attention from the likes of the JV’s of the world.

Oldhog, why don’t you leave me alone and get a life? Back then, I was so hopped up on drugs and drink, I didn’t know what I was doin. And then to top it all off, a serial killer wuz breathin down my back, forcin me to do his bidden. Wut the hell wuz I supposed to do? Then one day I did the only thing I could do. I shot the sick f—–. Why don’t you give me credit for killing him and saving untold numbers of lives? Coz yer stubborn that’s why.

I’m writing a book about it called Boy on the Board. It’s about my 10 minutes of terror on that board and my 5 minutes of heroism as I slugged ole Dean with lead. And I’m confident I’ll be paroled soon coz I know a liberal who knows a liberal who appreciates my artwork and my soul and he’s in a high place in that prison. He believes everyone should be given a second chance, even teenagers who were forced to kill. I love me some liberals, don’t you?

I took wrestlin in prison so Oldhog, when I get out, I’ll be able to pin you in three moves.

(282) olddog53 says:

Now I know Henley did not post as he is behind bars where he belongs. So it must be one of his cult followers posting in his honor. Poor guy can’t even spell correctly but then again he dropped out of Jr. High school.

So his excuses is he was high on drugs and booze and was forced to lure his friends to their deaths, that is interesting considering he stated many times that he enjoyed killing and that he felt powerful. He asks what was he suppose to do, well how about going to his mother, going to the police. He had enough evidence to give to the police that they would have believed him. 30 life’s could have been saved if he had done so.

The reason why he killed his buddy Corll is because Corll was going to kill him, Henley BS is way free when Corll had him tied up and he was not going to let Corll do that again. He wants credit for killing Corll. How delusional is that. You have been given credit for murdering 6 boys, just accept that cause that is the only credit you deserve.

I bet he has been wrestling in prison, he just loves dropping the bar of soap in the shower and wrestling for it. He is such a sweet pea, all the guys in prison just love that little bald headed homosexual killer. He wants to come visit me when he gets out, that would be fine but he will be using a walker if that day ever comes.

(283) EWH says:

You need a spiritual program, Oldhog. What’s with all this boiling anger simmering inside you? I have accepted Jesus. He has washed away my sins. Have you been washed? No, your feet smell. Look, I know I done some bad things in the past, but when I imagine a kid walking, running or bike riding through the Heights today, I know he’s free coz of me. Because I shot that faggot monster, he is free to live and breathe.

I have decided to make amends. When I get out of stir, of course all the TV crews are gonna be there. First two words outta my mouth are gonna be I’m sorry for what happened. Then I’ll be on my way. But here’s the good part. I will hunt down the last living Corll. I know a couple descendents who are also sexual psychopaths and I will turn them over to justice. I will ask around town have they seen the last living Corll. I will turn over rocks and stones and fallen trees looking for the last living Corll. This family line has got to stop and it stops with me.

From what Wayne said all of you arrived at Corlls house at 3am…fell asleep after a few hours …when he(wayne) woke up and talked Corll in to letting him go..you still had your clothes on and he(wayne) did not finish cutting them off before Corll was killed…..then he called the police around 8am….you walked out and sat on the porch…was put in the cop car when the police arrived….??where did the endless hours come from? And why did you not go to the hospital if you were tortured? ?
Just wondering. BTW Mark Scott was a friend of mine..I grew up in the Heights.
I hope there is a special place in Heaven for all those boys.

Well EWH I’m glad you found Christ while in prison, most killers in prison seem to find religion, kind of makes them or they think look good in the eyes of the parole board. I bet you lay in your bunk and dream about little boys, that much has not changed about you in the last 40 years.

Bless your little heart, you still think your gonna get out of prision.

March 29, 2013 at 2:48 pm
(286) EWH says:

Actually, I’ve got a confession to make, Oldhog. I’m straight. I’ve liked girls ever since I was born. For the thousandth time, Dean was the gay one, I was the straight one. When that show, Charlie’s Angels would come on in the rec room back in the 70s, I couldn’t get enough of it. Did you know that Jaclyn Smith grew up in Houston? I sure wish I dated her. Anyway, that show would get me riled up. They shore were pretty.

But in addition to my art, I’m further cultivating my soft side. I saw myself on a news show. It was me in that famous scene leaning against the car talking to my mama. I was just a boy cryin out for my mama. I burst into tears at the sight of that. I wish the Charlie’s Angels had been there to save me from myself.

You can try and convince yourself that you’re straight but you and your buddy Dean liked to mess around with each other and you got off to watching Dean sexually torture your friends. You even took part in it. Hey did you know that there is a FB page all about you and Dean? You should check it out.

Speaking of your mama seems to me she knew what you had been up to by her comments on that phone call from Jack Cato’s phone. Did she ever open the letter? You know, your mama had always been there to save you from your self but you would not listen to her so I doubt Charlies Angels could have done any better than your mama.

(292) EWH says:

Hey, Oldhog, how you doin. Did you have a nice Easter? I did. I’m a member of the prison choir and we sang some old spiritual numbers. Then we busted out (not literally of course) with Deep In The Heart of Texas and Yellow Rose of Texas. I tell ya, I cannot keep a straight face when we clap really fast during that Heart of Texas song. Me and the boys had a laugh over that. You see, there are light-hearted moments in the clink that not even you can dampen, Oldhog.

However, I am having second thoughts about being released from prison. One night I had a horrible nightmare. But aren’t all nightmares horrible? I dreamt I was parold and was walking through town. Soon I heard footsteps behind me, and it was a man following one block behind. I looked forward again and concentrated on what to do with my freedom. Then I heard another set of footsteps behind me. Another man joined that man. I took a look at them. One was carrying a bat and another was carrying a brick. I thought that one was going to a baseball game and another was going to a construction site.

I kept walking. Then the footsteps grew to include a few other guys. Looking at them, I could see one carrying a hammer, one with an axe, one with a chainsaw, one with pliers, one with garden shears. They were closing the distance behind me and when I got a good look at them, they had no faces, only skulls. Then I heard this ungodly chanting in deep, gutteral voices — mama, mama. When I felt a violent crack in my skull, then I woke up.

That’s when I decided I’ll need a bodygaurd when I get out of prison. Maybe you can guard me, Oldhog, since we have a rapor going. I can answer all your questions and solve any mystery you want. Plus I picked up some cooking skills in the joint so I can make you flapjacks, grits, barbequed chicken, ribs, anything you want. It could be a good deal.

I have to say that whoever is posting as EWH is pretty clever and very funny. I know this isn’t a topic that is supposed to be humorous, so I feel bad about getting a kick out of his posts, but I can’t help it.

Am curious though what Rhonda — if this really is Rhonda — knows about the role that Elmer Wayne Henley played in these murders. Was he really as cruel and sadistic as Brooks made him out to be? Or was this just an attempt by Brooks to put the blame elsewhere? I think, by Henley’s own testimony, we know that he was the killer of several of these boys, so he couldn’t have been just a regular guy…

This is all very hard to comprehend. How could all this have happened? How could these people be so sadistic and cruel. I suppose that a normal person just can’t fathom where they are coming from.

April 8, 2013 at 9:00 pm
(297) olddog says:

Reader, all you have to do is read Henley’s confession, read the Pasadena Police Dept. report and the trial transcripts to find out if Henley was cruel and sadistic. What kind of person leads their friends to their death on purpose and then helps murder them. And if that is not enough read some of Henley’s interviews, the Texas Monthly interview he gave during his first trial is a must read as he tells how much power he felt as he was strangling one of his victims. Cruel and Sadistic, you bet this POS is.

April 8, 2013 at 9:37 pm
(298) Reader says:

I saw the Texas Monthly article. Yes, it was revealing. I don’t have access to the trial documents. I would like to read some of them, but I’m not sure it is the most healthy way to spend my spend my time — especially if I have to formally request them under the Freedom of Information Act. Wouldn’t mind reading some of the most pertinent parts of the trial docs if there were available online somewhere.

I guess in my case it comes down to a lack of comprehension of this type of selfish and cruel behavior. Sure, many of us have desires that we wouldn’t want everybody to know about, but what takes a person to the next level where he can just throw away others’ lives in such a trivial way to satisfy his desires? Very sad for me. As I read various accounts of the familys’ grief and the long term results of these murders over the years, it was extremely hard to continue reading.

April 8, 2013 at 11:17 pm
(299) EWH says:

Reader, I am inspired to write to give Oldhog a life. Many times he has invoked his demon, but there was no response. An old man whose hobby is glossing over ugly crimes that happened 40 years ago, his raging fists swinging in the air with nothing to land on is a sad sight to see. Now poof, I appear as the sociopathic abomination I am, and finally he has a sparring partner.

Anyway, the reason I said I got a sense of power was to look tough in prison. Prisoners want to know that you thoroughly enjoyed your crimes through and through and that you had no regrets. If they hear you say I was forced to do something and didn’t want to, you come across as weak. Really, with every murder I was crying and dying on the inside.

That’s why when the liberals finally parole me because they feel guilty about caging poor white trash, I’d like to work with youth. I see myself as a life coach, an excellence counselor, a champion of youth. I’d like to help boys and girls with their homework, sports, career options, college plans. I figure this new chapter in my life as a youth hero will make up for my mistakes in the past. And I also will hunt down the last living Corll.

We’re talking years, not days. These two idiots could have done something about Corll, but chose not to. They had plenty of opportunity to turn him in or confess themselves. For YEARS they actively participated and are equally to blame. Facts are facts, even though we don’t have all of them (thanks to ever so true shotty Police “work” from the worlds murder capital of unsolved cases), we know enough to know they chose to abduct, torture, murder, bury these kids and try to cover it all up. When things turned ugly between the three, they were all looking for an easy way out or rather, an easy way to off their cohorts in an attempt to cover their own ass so as to hopefully walk away from the whole crime unscathed. The blame game and scrambling to be released has gone on for some 40 years. The FACT is, all three (and possibly more) are guilty of these horrible crimes and must be punished until the day they die, PERIOD.

No doubt about it, these two losers, released or not, will imminently get what they deserve.

Carry on…

Now that I’m an adult, you may take delight that I’ve been roughed up in prison. Bloodied and smeared against the wall as if I were snot. That’s the price that slight, mousy guys like me pay behind bars.

So if I ever get paroled, I can expect to be beaten to a pulp again or even worse? When will these threats stop and the violence end? I am working on being a peaceful guy. Yes, Dean Corll was a good friend of mine. But do you know how angry it made him being a gay guy in the land of the man, the land of real men, Texas? He helped a lot of people, but nobody put their arm around him and said, Dean, how are you today. Dean, how are you feeling. Dean, are you all right. Nobody. He wanted to kill everybody he saw, but refrained, so you all should thank him that you’re still alive.

I know that this is a strange question, but does anyone know if Corll had a tattoo on his thumb (three letters). I was hitchhiking to school one morning and a very strange guy picked me up, and dropped me off in front of my high school. He spoke of crazy parties and wanted my phone number. I told him my parents weren’t “cool” and asked for his number and told him I would give him a call (of course I did not….) but it really creeped me out. A short time later, this news story broke in Houston. I have always wondered if I had a near miss with tragedy. He showed me his thumb tattoo which again had three letters that I remember, but will not disclose here. He also pulled up his pant leg and had on tall brown leather boots, which had an odd small “pocket” at the top where he said he kept his “rolling papers”. Someone that has encountered this monster might be aware of this identifying mark, and solve this question that I have had for most of 40 years. Thanks. DMN

That is really a moot point as it looks like he has no FB friends who have any money to help him out. he says he needs $5 thousand dollars and has already raised $100 bucks. He has until July 19th to come-up with the money. For somebody who is suppose to be so smart he sure is dumb or he thinks we are dumb cause $5 thousand dollars is not going to get you a very good attorney when you consider you were convicted for killing 6 people. August 8th is in 3 weeks. Hard to beleive it has been 40 years since it was discovered by the death of Corll that he along with Brooks and Henley were torturing boys and then killing and burring them around Houston, Galveston and Livingston. And Henley wants to pretend he is some kind of hero for killing Corll after Corll was going to kill him. Henley still loves the lime light, he has not changed in 40 years.

The person running this forum is listed at the top, Charles Montaldo. Kennywaynehitler on youtube is olddog53, His real name is Rick Staton. He is a murderbillia collector and exclusively sells and sold John Wayne Gacy paintings, He had Gacy paint pictures for his son who was a juvenile at the time. SICK! He has you all fooled. He is in the movie made by his boyfriend Josh Vargas. He and God know the truth. Anyone can claim to be anyone on the Internet. Us families of the HMM victims do not want anything to do with Rick Staton or his boyfriend.

While others are complimenting him (which is probably the same person using different identities) this forum is being hijacked with things that have no reference to the HMM case. Please stay on subject for those of us who wish to read the forum without all the BS.

Olddog53 with all your compliments about yourself.

1st – learn to spell. Secret and secrete are 2 different words with completely different meanings.

2nd – Admit who you are here if you’re not afraid. Asking someone to join a closed group tells me you have issues.

Have a joyful day.

(343) Donna says:

Thank you Darabeth.
If he is going to act like a know-it-all I agree he should prove creditably.

Do I read a little attitude into your response?
I have to say you have yet to impress me. You say “just about everybody on here knows that but you I guess.” Problem is in reading posts here it seems there are quite a few who do not know your identity.

You hail yourself as having great writing skills, but once again you cannot punctuate well. That is not making you creditable in my opinion. It causes me to wonder what was or is your involvement with this case? Are you law enforcement? Were you involved in crime scenes? Are you a FBI profiler? Were you present during court appearances? Were you called as an expert witness? Have you interviewed David or Wayne in prison? Were you a friend of Dean? David? or Wayne? Were you a procurer for Dean? Are you someone who has made up a story as a possible victim? Or are you this obsessed to need to comment on everything written here to grow your self-serving needy reputation?

I’m starting to think you are an Internet stalker with this case. One thing I can see is that you are a fanatic and obsessed with this flora. Why is that? That makes you extremely scary in my thoughts.
Are you aware there is more than 1 Kevin Purnell on Facebook. There are also several Kevin Purnell’s on Google. You sir have told me nothing to trust you.

August 6, 2013 at 6:49 pm
(344) olddog53 says:

Donna, I think I know why you are so angry at me and that is because I am not a supporter your POS friend Wayne Henley. I was not aware I really needed to do anything at all to impress you; I don’t even know who you are and what rock you crawled out from under. If you don’t like me or if you don’t want to read my opinions then don’t, you are the one who keeps coming back to Flashback to see what I have to say which strikes as kind of funny. By the way please show me where I ever said I had great writing skills my dear. I’d be the first to tell ya I aint no Josh Varcos..

Can’t wait to see what you say next Rhonda.

August 6, 2013 at 8:24 pm
(345) Donna says:

I do not personally know a Wayne Henley, or anyone with the last name Henley. I do not know a Josh Varcos. The only Rhonda I know is a girl I went to high school with in Georgia. I do not know you or anyone else who has posted here. I came across this flora recently while looking through other threads on about.com. I found this thread interesting since it was before my time. I read about Wayne Henley here. After reading the entire thread I started to post to you here. I have only posted a couple of times, and obviously am not the only Donna in this thread. Are you paranoid? Maybe you need to get laid?

What is funny is that you continue to express the need to impress everyone. In an open forum you cannot control everyone’s posts. That is against the 1st amendment. What you have proven is that you can’t handle anyone mentioning you unfavorably. Inflated ego I guess. You are too easy a target olddog53. LOL! You can pull your bunched up panties out of your ass now.

As you incorrectly stated “I make it no secrete who I am.” I am not your “dear”. Sorry, but I am also not on Facebook. My daughter is, and you do not need her name. Enjoy the rest of your evening Kevin Purnell if that is really who you are.

Donna Pickerton

PS: I suggest you learn how to use spell and grammar checker if you want to continue to impress.

(346) olddog53 says:

Oh Donna I love it. You make statements that are not true and it is so obvious you are one of the Henley groupies which is why you’re so pissed at me. You’re so typical of POS followers of Henley and Brooks. Every time something negative is posted about them you people come out of the wood work and start your complaining about who can and can’t spell, getting completely off topic of why these 2 pieces of scum should stay locked up for the rest of their life’s. You’re so transparent my dear Donna.
Please let us here more of your opinions of me, I just can’t wait!! Hurry back dear Rhonda!

August 6, 2013 at 9:31 pm
(347) Donna says:

You really are full of yourself. I am not pissed at you. I never have been pissed at you because I don’t know you. I find pointing out how easily you get disturbed as funny since you continuously prove you have no restraint.

Please understand I am no groupie to anyone. My opinion of Dean, David, and Wayne from what I have read is that they are predators of the worst kind. I would never defend them. I could care less about them, except they should stay locked away forever. I’m surprised they didn’t get the death penalty.

Why are you so paranoid? These people you mention must easily get under your skin. You might want to work on that.

August 6, 2013 at 9:57 pm
(348) olddog53 says:

Hi Donna, so what your telling me is that you look for people who you feel are easy to push their buttons and get a reaction out of them. Kind of like Corll, Henley and Brooks looking for their victims. Your trolling Flashback looking for your pray. That tells me a lot about you but then again your pretty transparent and you tipped your hand pretty much from the start. But I love honey, keep it coming!!

August 6, 2013 at 10:39 pm
(349) Donna says:

You still can’t write or spell correctly. Your vs. you’re? I’d call all those transparent compliments you sent to yourself FAKE!
What I am writing to you is that from reading this thread I saw that you enjoy attacking others. Funny you use the word “troll” when you have the most posts here. Mine are minimal compared to yours. Who is the troll? Your button is stuck on overdrive.

I work for a company that just happens to be a sponsor on About.com. Did you think this site was free? I occasional look to make sure we are getting advertised correctly. It’s part of my job. I started reading this flora due to the amount of post that it has. It may be a thread we want our ad on. What’s your excuse?

After reading your frequent negative comments in this thread I sized you up pretty quickly. Just thought a little payback was fitting since you enjoy bulling. If you would open your little mind you may realize that I AM THE DOMINATE here. You jump when I say “jump”. It is I who loves it. You are seriously demented to live on this flora. Move on and get a life. You are obsessed. I can easily walk away, yet you can’t. What does that say about you?

Tell you what. Write to all the advertising companies on About.com and see which one employs me. With your fixation it should not take you that long. Those guys that you are obsessed about will stay in prison for life so find another hobby. It would probably leave you less stressed. Maybe you will get laid. Maybe you will find someone you can truly call “dear”.

You bore me. Enjoy your ride on the short bus. GN!

(350) olddog53 says:

Hi Donna,
Thank you very much for writing back, I really do enjoy your commentary on me. I have never had a bigger fan of my posting than you. Again thank you very much, your just to kind.
I did not ask nor do I really care who you work for but thank you for voluntary that piece of information. Well my job does not require me to monitor Flashback, I do it for the enjoyment of reading poster like you. Since you asked the question what excuse does anybody have to read Flashback?
Now a question for you. You stated earlier on post 345 that and I quote “I came across this flora recently while looking through other threads on about.com” but you now tell us you work for About.com and started reading this flora due to the number of posting it had received in order to determend if you should run ads. Which is it?
When you say my negative comments are you referring to my comments on Corll, Henley and Brooks? Your statement is a little to general, could you be a little more specific like name the post number that you call negative? You know Donna, I wish you were Dominate, that sounds kind of sexy.
Baby I honestly don’t think you can walk away, you may say that but you know and I know you’ll be back, it is a turn on for you and speaking of turn on’s you sure do keep talking about me getting laid. I’ll be honest with you Donna, I just don’t see it happening with you and I. Sorry.
Ok baby, your turn to write more love notes to me.

Let’s see, Kevin, Olddog53, TinyTim or whoever you are. I work for the same company as Donna and if you will go back and actually read her post, she did not say she worked for About.com – we work for a company that sponsors About.com. At least get it right, okay? We are an ad company and only one of many on this site. There are many, many different threads here and we have read only a few. We can pull our ads at any time as well. You need to stand corrected.

(352) olddog53 says:

Well Hello Darabeth and welcome to the discussion on the HMM. I don’t really care who you work for, you don’t need to justify what you do to me. I hope you have something informative to add to the discussion on Corll, Brooks and Henley. Tomorrow is the 40th anniversary of when Corll was killed, Brooks and Henley were arrested and the first mass grave was discovered.

August 7, 2013 at 10:54 am
(353) Darabeth says:

Evidently I did need to justify what was said simply because you asked “Which is it?”. Then you want to change the subject. It’s all good. Yes, I guess it is the 40th “anniversary” of a horrific event. Terrible that people in Texas do not seem to know much about these crimes. Are you a serious student of this case?

August 7, 2013 at 11:40 am
(354) olddog53 says:

Hi Darabeth, no I’m not really changing the subject. This forum is about Dean Corll, David O. Brooks and Elmer W. Henley and that is what I have been discussing all along. Yes I may get side tracked with people like you and Donna who want to talk about other things but for the most part I try to stay on subject. Now as for the HMM, the older generation seems to want to forget that it ever happened and the younger generation does not even know about it. The police and mayor in 1973 stopped the digging for bodies at the boat shed because it seemed there was no end to the bodies coming out of the ground and it was making Houston look bad. There are still bodies that have not been found, it could be as many as 11 based on the missing persons reports filed between 1970 and 1973 for boys in the Heights area.

(355) Esther Roll says:

I was just wonderin if a group of yáll are gonna get together at Corll’s grave tomorrow with balloons, toot-toots, party hats and streamers to celebrate his murder.

(356) Liz says:

Good luck with that. Josh and Rick (or their friends) has stolen Dean’s grave marker a few years back. I know for sure Rick has his military marker in his back yard.

I have no idea if the Cemetery will replace stolen ones for free, but if you don’t know where to look you might be celebrating in the wrong place.

You do realize you have a bad reputation? The police see you as a nut case. They do not want to speak to you in person or e-mails.

Dr. Derrick didn’t think you contributed anything worth while either. She would rather not talk to you again.

You always say there are female victims, yet can’t prove anything.

There is only 1 female victim, and she survived.

Take a little time and think about this information.

Wayne has no cash in his canteen. As a result, he says he would like to tutor junior high/high school age kids around Houston. It will only cost $5 an hour per kid. Would you like to help? You’d be serving the community, doing a good deed, and saving money all at once. Math and English are Wayne’s specialties, and since he got his GED behind bars, the knowledge is still fresh in his head. All you have to do is take your kid down to the prison where Wayne will sit with your child and help him/her in their studies. Meanwhile, you, the parent, can sit in the waiting area reading educational magazines. If you’re interested in keeping Wayne’s canteen full, contact me at cornsmutcorrupt.com

are you kidding me? my lord. this page is about remembering the some 30-odd boys (at least) that perished at the hands of 3 brutally tortuous deranged souls, some of us here actually knew some of the victims, are related to some, or were nearly victims and/or some combination of all the above. yet some of you want to make this a game. fortunately i am close enough to really care and i meet 2 of the 3 above criteria – yet am distant enough to where i will not be hurt by you impostors…..all i know is i have been very cordial to EWH in personal correspondence via j-mail and he was open and cordial to me at first – yet he has suddenly turned cold – tells me for real what a coward he really is. if any of you idiots are really friends of his, please ask him why he has not answered my last email from about 6 mos ago. it was a very simple question really, and totally non-incriminating toward him. has nothing to do with him, it was a question about something at least 1 full year before he met Dean, but he should know the answer.

August 22, 2013 at 10:56 pm
(366) david gibson says:

my name really is David Gibson and i am fearless. got that? i just want an answer to the question i asked him. it has absolutely ZERO to do with him. just answer it. he knows the question, and if you really know him he will share that with you, and if you share it with me than i will know you are legit. otherwise STFU.

i have made my peace with EWH. I have told him so. I dont forgive him and told him so as well, and i told him i will continue to fight against his release, and he said he understood that. i have to respect his manner toward me at that point. i wont call him names or claim i will kill him with my bare hands if he ever goes free…its far past that. i made a comment that there was no reason two men cant converse in a civil manner even though we are on opposite sides, and he said he agreed, i have to admit i felt a connection with him when he admitted that. . i made it clear that i know he was not involved with killing my friend and was not involved with my own “near-encounter” – and asked him a simple question.

so if you are really connected to EWH, simply talk to him and answer the question, or at least repeat the question i asked him if he refuses to answer….until that is done then anyone who purports to be a friend of EWH is a phony. period. no ifs and or buts. only EWH himself knows the question. so put up or shut up. period. i’ll say it again – my name is David Gibson, and EWH has my email. otherwise STFU.

For at least two years we noticed the white van parked off and on across from Pasadena high school football field by Venice bayou where the zoo was. It has been at least 40yrs still nobody seems to care about what I saw or went through with David Brooks or the girl who grabbed my arm to pull me into GTX. I have told this to police on several occations through the years . even have several whiteness to prove this. Just last year 2012 my life and family where threatened , I have maid another sworn statement to sheriffs department even a 911 call.

Are there any parents and family still alive in the Heights? Houston area? Would it NOT be beneficial and the “Right” gesture to Honor their loved ones? If any of you believe in Heaven or a Higher Being, then you must know LOVE is the basis of the place after this HELL.

Can’t all of you spend your energy Making a BEAUTIFUL Memorial in the Heights area for these Souls? Honoring their Short lives and showing your Love for those horrible minutes (hours, Days) of torture that must have been more painful than any of us can even imagine, seems like a LOVING and Supporting way to make them each a HERO!

Each victim was a HERO for each of US who were NOT victims. While these three Products of SATAN and EVIL spent time with these HEROS (victims), our lives and our loved ones were spared the chance encounter!

So YES (and I do not know Rhonda at all) RHONDA is the ONLY Living HERO. Had she not persuaded these Killings to end (leave it to a Female) they would still be Happening. Do you ALL NOT see this. Who cares why you think she is writing a book. She deserves to do whatever SHE WANTS.

But please ALL including RHONDA…..please let’s all Honor these Heros. Let’s all make a beautiful place for the living family and future relatives see we LOVE their HERO (victim) and they can be PROUD of their LIVES and not hide behind the SHAME of these three SICK EVIL SOULS. These lives were innocent and there should not be any SHAME. The SHAME is on everyone who has not made them out to be HEROS and they are actually Survivors who got to leave and go to HEAVEN for Eternity.

Quit letting the disgust of the Killings prevent their SOULS from seeing our LOVE and their FAMILIES to see them HONORED not just Pity for their demise!!

HONOR their FIGHT, their LAST MOMENTS and their FAMLIES!!!

Elmer & David I can’t imagine how you sleep at night. Knowing that you offered up your friends to that monster Dean. I hope the guilt of what you have done haunts you for the rest of your miserable lives. I hope neither of you is ever paroled. Why should you be shown any sympathy or given a 2nd chance when you didn’t do that for any of your victims?

(384) Lynn Pearson says:

Hello, I am Rhonda Williams older sister, Lynn. I am 2 years older than her. I lived through all of this too. I knew most of all the victims in the HMM. I do not have the same beliefs as my sister.

Yes, I know my little sister was a victim that night, along with Tim Curley. Dean was mad Wayne had brought her out there. Rhonda was upset with my dad and had called Wayne to help her run away. Yes, they were lovers/friends at the time.

Trust me…Wayne IS NOT and WAS NOT a victim in all of this as my sister is trying to push in her book. You will see all of this when her book comes out. My sister, Rhonda, has been in and out of foster homes, since she was 9-10 years old. She has been on drugs most of her life. She hit rock bottom when she was about 35. She has been visiting Wayne in prison for several years now, I do have letters to him that prove she wanted to be his lover. Her mind is all messed up and she is obessed with Wayne.

I do love my sister, but she has now cut me out of her life for the last 2 years because I will not support her in all she is doing with Wayne. That is her choice…and she did it right after our Dad died.

I see Rhonda has been doing some presss on the 40th aniversary.
Its terible she had to go through this and it had such a profound effect on her life…more damage that can be laid at Corll’s door.
I think some folks feels she’s trying to be an apologist on Wayne’s behalf and its not surprising that is going to rub alot of people the wrong way.
Wayne saving her life im sure seemed like a noble move to Rhonda but if I were James Dreymala’s parents and read on the internet where Wayne told Josh Vargas that he witnessed Dean torture their son so bad “Dean needed an apron”…and did nothing…it would ring pretty hollow.
And any effort to make a good case for Wayne would strike me as offensive as hell.

I see Rhonda has been doing a little press with her story on the 40th aniversary.
Im sorry this happened to her and that it has had such a profound effect on her life.
More damage that can be laid at the door of Corll’s evil.
We shouldnt forget that she is a victim of these crimes as well.
Though it isnt surprising that some folks have a negative reaction.
Whether intentional or not she sometimes comes off as an apologist for Wayne.
I can see why Wayne saving her seems like a noble act to her and he was her friend but if I were James Dreymala’s parents and read on the internet where Wayne told Josh Vargas he witnessed Dean torture their son so bad ‘Dean needed an apron” I would find any effort to make Henley appear in a positive light repelant in the extreme.

(388) Linda says:

kline, it is a catch 22 for certain. Wayne saved Rhonda’s life. Wayne help bury Rhonda’s fiance’. Who wouldn’t be confused? Corll ruined so many, many lives – including Rhonda and her family – and the attacks against Rhonda continue – and why is beyond me. She is a VICTIM and is only trying her best to find solace and live her life in peace. She is Good People and does not deserve all of this hatred.

(392) casual observer says:

linda you are a fool. rhonda is trying to profit off of lies. if she knew nothing before she was tied up, how can she write anything other than what happened that one morning when wayne shot dean?

she cant make enough money in the “mature plumpers” porn industry (lets face it, who wants to whack off to that?) so she is trying to profit off of the HMM.

November 7, 2013 at 5:15 am
(393) Linda says:

David, you have no idea what you are talking about. Rhonda is writing her M E M O I R S and the HMM’s are only a part of her story. Do you not read ANYTHING?! If she makes money off her book, SO WHAT?! People do it all the time. Do you REALLY think that Barbara Gibson and her side kick Debra Phinny are gonna give all their book profits to charity?! Think what you want cause it’s obvious that you sure can’t Fix Stupid as the saying goes. Did you ever see the movie “Dawn Anna”? I doubt it. It was about a mother who faced brain cancer and whose daughter was one of the victims killed at Columbine High School. That was only part of her story. Why do you people insist on attacking Rhonda in the first place? Does it build up your own lack of self esteem?

November 7, 2013 at 2:19 pm
(394) Olddog53 says:

It is really pointless talking with the Henley groupies, Owens/Williams/Turner fall into that category. They think what think and that will never change so why waste your time casual observer. Criminals will always have their followers, just look at how many on death row are married to European prison activists. Henley groupies are no different. All we can do is be activists our self’s and do whatever it takes to keep them locked up like start meeting once a month to put our plans into action. Brooks is up again in 2014 so now is the time to be proactive. Let’s give them a good fight in 2014, Brooks will not go under the radar in 2014 and once we have taken care of him then we will refocus on Henley.

November 7, 2013 at 2:50 pm
(395) casual observer says:

“memoirs”? oh i cant wait to hear all the other exciting things she has done with her life that have nothing to do with the HMM. that pretty much just leaves the plumper porn industry.

November 7, 2013 at 4:22 pm
(396) Linda says:

Kevin, you’re just mad cause your advances didn’t work on Rhonda.

David, nobody is going to force you to read anything. You obviously don’t read what we write anyway – or maybe it just doesn’t sink in, I don’t know which. Porn? There is no porn – you’re just in love with the “pp” remark. Neither of you will ever change your attitudes towards Rhonda and that’s sad because you are condemning the wrong person. Me? I don’t care. Attack me all you want. My self-esteem is just dandy, thankyouverymuch. I don’t need to be an adult bully as the two of you seem to enjoy being. It’s good material for us so don’t stop now. I know what I’m about and it certainly isn’t y’all’s perception. I do find it amusing, though.

November 7, 2013 at 8:47 pm
(397) Rhonda says:

My story is copyrighted. Kevin, you want to make a movie and/or write a book you better look for a different topic/victim. You have NOT met my lawyer. As much as Lynn lies, she knows my lawyer will go for blood and win.

Nuff said!

November 7, 2013 at 8:59 pm
(398) Rhonda says:

Kevin, you did try to get me to date you. Ewwww!!! Never gonna happen. So, you decided to attack me to help your inflated fat ego feel better. I bet no one is interested in you. Hahaha!

None of you were there that morning so STFU! You only know what you have made up on the net.

Lynn, Everyone knows what a liar you are. Enjoy your pity party. I’ll see you in court. Better start saving some $$ or else you will spend some time there. I’d prefer you sit in jail for a bit. Don’t drop the soap!

Now… Nuff said. Sorry I only read about 6 messages since about a year ago. I’m already bored… Maybe sometime next year I’ll pop in for a minute…

Thank you Linda for being the best lovable sister and friend ♥

November 7, 2013 at 10:52 pm
(399) bobby says:

Well good thing you have Linda, because your own blood sister sure doesn’t support your lies and ever changing stories.

So tell us Rhonda – how do you sleep at night, knowing your fiance disappeared and EWH told you he was never coming back? You didn’t put 2 and 2 together, did ya? Or maybe you did – you knew Wayne had knowledge of his death all along yet you said nothing. Sorry dear, those are facts that have been stated by Wayne all along.

So please tell us more about your “plumper porn”! After remembering all those boys that perished and how you could have put an end to it once you knew Wayne was involved in your fiance’s death, I could use a good laugh! On second thought, spare me. I don’t want to get sick.

(401) Linda says:

You “people” are sick and disgusting. FYI, Wayne NEVER said anything like that and the only reason you people say these things is to draw everybody out for a laugh over such tragic events. Imagine. Laughing over someone else’s pain and suffering. Real slick. Just remember – when you’re laughing at all of this you are also hurting the victims’ families at the same time. Wow. Just – plain – wow.

November 8, 2013 at 10:33 am
(402) bobby says:

It is really very simple – there are those that believe Henley and Brooks should rot in prison forever, their crimes are to heinous to ever forgive, and anyone who supports their release, visits them as friends and feel sorry for them, are suspect. You can forgive all you want, but you didnt lose a family member to them now, did you? And how do you know that the victims families are hurt because there are people that support his continued imprisonment? There are a couple of Facebook pages with many family members and friends that project otherwise, they all want to see them both rot right where they are. Nice try, but the families are on this side, not yours.

November 8, 2013 at 2:30 pm
(403) Linda says:

Of course the families are on the side of justice just as they should be. It’s awful what they went through. Somebody has to pay. David and Wayne are serving Dean’s sentence as well as their own and the odds are they will never get out – period. My issue here is with you all attacking Rhonda when SHE, HERESELF, IS A VICTIM and it is totally uncalled for and makes me sick. Attacking her isn’t going to undo what happened and it’s cruel. Why do you continue to bully her because that’s exactly what you are doing. Does it make you all feel better to do this? It’s insane. The whole thing is insane and needs to stop. What you wrote above is certainly true and no one will disbute it but you did not address the issue I presented. What good does it do you to pick on Rhonda?????????

November 8, 2013 at 3:57 pm
(404) Olddog53 says:

Like I said it is pointless having any discussions with Henley groupies.

Time to focus our efforts on Brooks parole in 2014 and Henley’s in 2015. We need to make sure they serve 100% of THEIR sentences that was handed down to THEM! We know a nerve has been touched when we hear Henley crying about how unfair it is keeping him in prison when after all he should be considered a hero ( in his own mind that is).

(405) bobby says:

because, Linda – like you – she has sympathy for the devil. she has made her bed ……

November 9, 2013 at 8:19 am
(406) Linda says:

Well, it isn’t the type of “sympathy” you think it is but it’s quite irrelevant and a moot point at best. She is simply trying to find answers to make sense of something that makes no sense. It will never, ever make any sense and, in the end, she will have to learn to live with it as best she can. She hasn’t done anything to any of you so it’s best that you leave her alone. Take it out on Wayne and David – they are the guilty ones who should be incurring your wrath – not Rhonda – so just do as your buddy Kevin suggests and carry on with your own agendas. Leave Rhonda alone! She’s not coming back over here to read your attacks so it defeats your purpose and just makes you look like a big bully.

(413) Cassidy says:

Thank you for sharing the links. We do not live in Houston so did not see these until now. Unbelivable how her own relative degrades her. As far as I can tell this woman had done nothing to deserve the tongue lashings. I guess after 40 years events will be different depending on the person doing the remembering? Anyways, to you Rhonda, you were brave to come out and speak up. The interviewer said you are working on a book about your life and I am anxious to read it when it comes out.

November 18, 2013 at 8:53 am
(414) Olddog53 says:

Just to clarify, Rhonda Williams is not the lone survivor of Corll’s, Henley and Brooks madness, torture and murder, Billy Ridinger also survived one of Corll’s sessions and per testimony Brooks was able to convince Corll to release him. Rhonda Williams is the only known female survivor.

November 18, 2013 at 1:48 pm
(415) Emily says:

I’m happy you survived Rhonda. You show great strength and character in not answering these horrendous posters. God will reward you when your times comes.

Wait a minute….there is another survivor?? Why didn’t he go to the police?

November 18, 2013 at 2:23 pm
(417) Olddog53 says:

Ryan that is the million dollar question. He only went to the police after the story broke. Both Billy and Rhonda talked to the police after Brooks and Henley were arrested, Rhonda was breifly detained when she was brought in with Henely and Kerley after the shooting of Corll. Both Ridinger and Rhonda testified in court as well. To this day Ridinger will not discuss any aspects of the case or what he knows.

I wonder if Barbara Gibson knows that Rhonda has a copyright on the topic and victims of the HMM? Better watch out, her lawyer will go for blood. Ha that is to funny!

November 18, 2013 at 7:01 pm
(424) Linda says:

Again . . . .anbd yet again . . . Rhonda’s story concerns itself with many aspects of her life – not just the Houston Mass Murders. She has copyrighted her MEMOIRS

November 18, 2013 at 7:16 pm
(425) Linda says:

Again . . . and yet again . . . Rhonda’s copyrighted story is about her life. There is a great deal to be learned by reading her story of survival of incidents that occurred in her life (ASIDE from the murders) that would have sent most of us over the edge. She has NOT copyrighted “on the topic and victims of the HMM” – at least get that part straight. That’s ridiculous and you know it. You’re just still mad because — well — you know why you’re still mad. As if! Run along, now, Kevin, and get back to your agenda. It’s pointless to talk to us, remember? Cheers.

Rhonda says of Billy Ridinger:

:”And he knows a lot… If you just knew.”

hmmm….really??? .so please Rhonda, tell us why you know so much about what he knows, since he doesnt talk?

EWH told you Frank was not ever coming back, that is documented. yet you continued to play the game with them. you KNEW EWH was involved with his disappearing, yet you defend him. sorry if i dont ever believe a word out of your mouth.

and why would anyone care about the rest of your life? jr high dime store whores and drug addicts are a dime a dozen, your only claim to fame is from 3am to 8am on Aug 8, 1973. according to you, before that you knew nothing. so where is the beef?

i think the “beef” is in your “sexyads.com” posts!!!! do you really think anyone wants to read about that??? lol!

so let me guess – in your book you go from being a scared little girl begging for your life to a larger than life heroine convincing a pimply-faced scrawny punk-ass paint-huffing kid to be a man and kill Dean Corll. you should get a medal for that!

whereas reality shows that the pimply faced scrawny punk killed Dean to save his own life, and after Dean was dead and DB was nowhere around, he knew he was too much of a pimply faced scrawny punk to be able to kill you and Kerley alone, so he had to let you go. notice how only after police had question marks on their faces did he own up to all the horrors.

you still dont get it, do you?

November 19, 2013 at 7:23 am
(430) Linda says:

Wrong Kevin – your little sentimental/slash/caring soooo much about Rhonda/slash/wanting to date her “postings”. She’s got ‘em all. Guess you wouldn’t want them posted here, huh?

David you are writing about something you know nothing about. It never ceases to amaze me how you feel like you know somebody when you don’t and never will. Rhonda loved Frank and why you choose to believe differently just shows how twisted and sick your mind is. Wayne was engaged to Lisa. She was devastated when Frank didn’t come back and where the hell do you get off trying to say otherwise? Where is all this “insightful knowledge” coming from, anyway? Just because this is what you want to believe. YIKES.

Oh, and in addition David??? YOU’RE the one who doesn’t “get i t”. But it’s certainly no shame. FYI because I know you’re not the least bit interested, Rhonda has already lined up speaking engagements and two other nationally televised talk shows NOT exclusively regarding the HMM’s but her life story (which you claim you know sooo much about when you don’t know anything). Her life is now just beginning and I am very proud of her. Folks like you and Kevvie-kins need to get lives of your own and stop tormenting people who don’t deserve it.

Ok fellas. I am done here. Knock yourselves out over here and please, have The Last Word. “Down and out” as we used to say on our CB radios. Oh yeah. Cheers.

November 19, 2013 at 7:56 am
(431) Linda says:

Wrong Kevin. Was referring to your feeling sorry/slash/offering comfort/slash/wanting to date Rhonda “postings”. As IF!! Guess you wouldn’t want them posted here, huh?
David – why you continue to want to believe that Rhonda and Wayne hatched up Frank’s murder is beyond me and just shows what a sick, twisted mind you have. Where does all this come from anyway? Where’s your backup? Your own mind? Geez. Rhonda was devastated when Frank never came back and Wayne was engaged to Lisa. This is something that – for whatever perverted reason – you choose to believe. Why? Just because Rhonda is still trying to seek answers that will probably never be known? My goodness!
FYI, Rhonda has already lined up a couple of nationally televised talk shows and has several speaking engagements also in the works to exemplify how adversity can be overcome and how she did so without becoming bitter. You know nothing about her upbringing and what she had to endure. Her story is very inspiring and goes far beyond the HMMs. Her life is just now beginning and I am very proud of her as are many, many others with whom she has shared her story.
You and Kevvi-kins need to get lives of your own and stop tormenting others.
Okay, fellas. I am done here. Please, have The Last Word(s). Knock yourselves out.
Oh yeah. Cheers.

(433) Olddog53 says:

How funny, you accuse me of wanting to write a book about Rhonda and when I call you on it, you back peddle and change your story. If you have anything at all from me stating I wanted to date Rhonda please post it.

David is not the only person who believes Henley helped kill Frank to get him out of the way so he could have Rhonda all to himself. People close to the situation as well as family members also feel the same way, so it is not like David is the only one with this opinion.

I don’t believe we are as you put it tormenting anybody; we have not contacted you or Rhonda. You and she view these opinions on your own, if you don’t like what your reading then don’t. It is up to you and her. Neither one of you are forced to read anything you don’t want to.

November 19, 2013 at 8:40 am
(434) Linda says:

Kevin, I never said anything about you wanting to write a book about Rhonda. You WILL have to ask Rhonda about that one. You people have no right to speak for Rhonda concerning her feelings for Frank. NONE of you – including me – were “close to the situation” EXCEPT Rhonda and Wayne. Where in the hell do you people get off believing this rubbish as truth when you can’t speak for either of them. Geez.

November 19, 2013 at 9:02 am
(435) Olddog53 says:

On posting 428 I asked you what ever gave her the impression I wanted to write a book about her. You replied on posting 429 saying I did. So you did suggest that I wanted to write a book. Now the story has changed into something else.

I don’t think anybody is speaking for Rhonda; we are giving our own opinions based on interviews, police files, court records and statements from family members. I have no idea what Rhonda’s feelings are towards Frank, then or now but it is the opinion of a lot of people that it would not surprise anybody at all that Henley helped kill Frank to get him out of the way so he could pursue Rhonda. A question in my mind is if Rhonda really was close to Henley and he was kind of her big brother figure as it has been reported, then why would he do anything to upset her or make her unhappy like murder her boy friend which was the most important person in her life? That does not make since if he cared for her now does it.

November 19, 2013 at 9:44 am
(436) Linda says:

I can see where you thought I meant a book so let me arcy before you keep putting words in my mouth. Nope.. again….ask rhonda. That one escapes me. Think whatever you like. You’re right; he wouldn’t have wanted to hurt her so why think differently? Sounds more like a family member to me.

November 19, 2013 at 10:09 am
(437) Olddog53 says:

Well then it sounds to me like your just repeating things you’ve been told. If Rhonda has anything at all where I have stated I want to write a book about her or that I wanted to date her I would aked that she go ahead and post it. I call BS!

November 19, 2013 at 10:34 am
(438) Ryan says:

Rhonda: ”And he knows a lot… If you just knew.”

Rhonda, if have information about this case that is unknown, shouldn’t you report it to the police?

I’m not saying that you do have any unknown info but your remark makes it sound as if you do.

November 19, 2013 at 9:24 pm
(439) casual observer says:

exactly Ryan.

how does she know he knows more than he has let on?

just like obama supporters, Linda dodges that question and instead goes on the attack to change the subject.

what did Rhonda know – and when did she know it?

Uh…you cant ‘copyright’ a historical event in the Public Domain.
But that being said I think any antipathy directed at Rhonda is certainly misdirected.
Though I think if Rhonda has any inside information that would implicate Ridinger as being involved in these crimes as she seems to imply I think she should let Law Enforcement in on it as their is no Statute of Limitations concerning this case.
If she doesnt she might want to extend him the same courtesy as one of Corll’s victims that she certainly deserves.
I hope Rhonda finds some resolution and Peace (‘closure’ especially in this case is a B.S. concept).
In my opinion though( which is worth what it costs you:nothing ) I dont think ANY of those things are going to be found in Wayne Henley.
The fact that Rhonda holds no malice towards him is a blessing he doesnt deserve but I hope he has the sense to be grateful for.

You are spot on. These haters are negatively obsessed about someone who should have been hailed a hero. They attack Rhonda at every turn that I have found on the Internet. I doubt anyone wants a sister as hateful and delusional as her’s. At least these haters constantly show their mean obsession for all to see.

Randy, if the coments you have found have the same opinion of her then that should tell you something.

Funny, it seems to be a minute minority of the same couple of people. How sad for them they cannot seem to see past their own noses. I, for one, look forward to reading Rhonda’s book.

Yes, it tells me that what I read is the same people who put down and attack Rhonda in Facebook groups, and on the Internet. It proves that there are a few hateful stalkers who are cowardly bullys. I’d say that makes you all obsessed bully whores. Shame on all of you!

Rhonda acts better than you all by ignoring you and these comments. I notice she does that on all of your threads. It proves what a strong woman she is. Maybe this is a positive lesson you can learn through her actions.

Just reading some sickening comments directed towards Rhonda Williams. I don’t get people like that; hasn’t she suffered enough without being accused of this and that, and all types of BS. You a-holes who are so quick to jump down her throat should be privileged she has spoken about the case on an open forum and shared her insight. Don’t mind these clowns Rhonda; I look forward to your book.

There isnt going to be a book,at least not by Rhonda.
If she cant discern that she is co signing Henleys attrocities by trying to defend him she deserves our pity not anger.
Hopefully she will move on with her life and stop letting the evil that was the Houston Mass Murders define her.
Elmer Wayne Henley is a sick sadistic punk who eagaerly participated because he got off on it.
He enjoyed watching and participating in Corll’s assaults.
Claiming he did it out of fear for his family is a Lie.
Something he came up with in hindsight for fools like Rhonda and the serial killer groupies he corresponds with.
Now he’s gotten pretty good at portraying the Tragic Artiste for the sick an damaged who are eager to buy into it.
Its just another mask.
Probably the same one the little maggot wore whenever he would run into Dorothy Hilligiest.

Forgive me for sounding crass, but whatever information Rhonda WIlliams would have, would only pertain to the night she was held, and not about anyone else’s history of killing (or helping kill/bury) a couple dozen teenage boys.

And all this recent activity regarding this case is less about “moving on” (after 40 years of a single event) as it is about “remaining relevant”. She’s not the first to do this, and she certainly won’t be the last, but to deny that is what this is, is nothing short of willful blindness and maybe sycophancy.

I’ve never heard of any of this event till today. Accidentally hit the story, and read it all. Googled a few times and on fourth entry found this place. I was fascinated by the amount of people who remembered the place and many of the people. Just the back and forth, all through the dumb posts, the quarrels.. And then the progression through the years of the different players.

I guess the greatest thing that hits me is the police. What other American story of depravity and serial killing has an equal example of the investigators just stopping like that? Just here, on this forum, you have people who admit to remembering the players, as well as other parts of the story that allude to much more that light was never shed on?

I may wake up tommorow and never come near this thing again. But why more was never demanded; if not from local authorities, then someone else? Good Lord!
