Jodi Arias Gets New Trial Date

A new trial date has been set for the penalty phase for a woman convicted of killing her boyfriend in his Phoenix home. A judge set March 17 as the date a jury will decide whether or not Jodi Arias should be executed or face life in prison for her murder conviction.

The jury who convicted her in May of the murder of Travis Alexander later deadlocked on the penalty question.

The original trial was widely viewed on television and live stream, but this time video coverage will be limited, Judge Sherry Stephens ruled earlier.

Attorneys for the 33-year-old Arias had also asked that the trial be moved out of Phoenix, but that motion was also denied.
