Two days after pleading guilty to killing a 7-year-old Georgia girl at the apartment complex where he lived and worked, a 20-year-old maintenance man has apparently taken his own life. Ryan Brunn reportedly hanged himself in his cell at Jackson Diagnostic Prison in Jackson, Georgia.Brunn had been sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday after pleading guilty to the sexual assault and murder of Jorelys Rivera.
After his sentencing in Canton, Brunn was transferred to the state facility at Jackson where all incoming state prisoners are sent for mental and physical diagnosis and evaluation before being assigned to a permanent prison facility.
All inmates at Jackson who are being evaluated are housed in individual cells.
"I can confirm that Ryan Brunn did commit suicide," Kristen Stancil, of the state Department of Corrections, told reporters.
Brunn expressed remorse at his sentencing earlier in the week when he admitted to killing Jorelys and revealed the gruesome details of her assault and murder.

Why wasn’t he on a suicide watch?
Who cares..
That was careless! I would like to have seen this slime ball in the general population (as if that would ever have happened!)
Well that has certainly saved some tax payers money.
This animal got off way to easy. The punishment should have fit the crime.
