Jaycee Dugard Suspects Want to Visit

Monday February 8, 2010
Attorneys for a California couple who are accused of kidnapping 11-year-old Jaycee Dugard in 1991 and holding her for 18 years have filed motions that would allow them to visit each other in jail. Painting the defendants as a "close, caring family," attorneys argue that they should be allowed to have visits like other jail inmates.

Phillip and Nancy Garrido have pleaded not guilty to kidnapping and raping Jaycee Lee Dugard.

"What I'm saying is they raised these kids as their kids, and whatever decision they make with how they are going to proceed in this case, whether they go to trial or don't go to trial, is going to affect these kids," Deputy Public Defender Susan Gellman told the court.

Acted As a Family

According to the court papers filed last week, Phillip Garrido stopped having sex with Dugard around the time that she gave birth to her second child. Afterwards, all five "held themselves out to be a family" taking vacations and running a family business together.

Attorneys for the Garridos also filed motions asking the prosecution to tell them where Jaycee Dugard is living now and the name of her attorney so that they can contact her prior to the trial.

They also asked that taped interviews conducted by investigators of Jaycee and her two daughters be turned over to the defense.

The judge is expected to rule on the motions at a hearing Feb. 26.

Jaycee Dugard was 11 years old when she was abducted while waiting for a school bus in South Lake Tahoe. The Garridos are accused of raping her and confining her and the daughters she gave birth to when she was 14 and 17 to a hidden behind their home.

Can’t believe what some lawyers will get up to!
Their male client, with his wife as his accomplice, raped this child, and they now want to contact her.
What would they say? “Sure, we raped you, but think of the good times?”
The hubris of some people, apparently, knows no bounds!
They seem to think they they still have some kind of hold over her, and will attempt to persuade her not to testify against them, that’s the bottom line, pure and simple.
It’s astounding that the judge needs time to think about their request!
I hope they both rot in jail. They’ve earned it.

I THINK KIDNAPPING CHILDREN IS JUST DOWN RIGHT WRONG.THE PEOPLE WHO DO IT ARE LOW LIFE LOSERS WHO NEED TO BE PUT AWAY FOR LIFE NO MATTER HOW SHORT THEY KIDNAPPED THAT KID FOR.THOSE PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT TRUMATIZES THE KID FOREVER, THEIR GOING TO WANT TO WATCH EVERY MOVE THEY TAKE AND WHO THEY TALK TO.THOSE ARE SICK FREAKES THAT NEED TO GET A LIFE AND SEE HOW MUCH THEY HURT THOSE CHILDREN AND KNOW THAT IF IT WAS THEIR KIDS THEY WOULD FEEL THE SAME AS THE PARENTS THAT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEIR KIDS THAT HAD HAPPENED TO.

I can’t believe Garridos Attorney. She is without saying – corrupt herself. The Garridos need to be facing at the least: life imprisonment and should have “NO RIGHTS.” Miss Dugard and her children should have ALL the RIGHTS. Is there no justice left in this world???? If they allow them and make Miss Dugard see them – then this system is above redemption….thoroughly corrupt. What a despicable request!!!!
