Mom Admits Stabbing Two Sons

A 22-year-old Texas woman calmly placed her hands behind her back to be handcuffed and told police officers, "I killed my babies," when they arrived at the scene of the stabbing deaths of a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old. Elyse Marsyl Colon was arrested on two counts of capital murder of a child.

Jose Luis Garcia and Gillermo Garcia were found dead inside their San Antonio home.

"Words can't describe the scene," San Antonio police Chief William McManus told reporters. "It was unspeakably sad."

Police said Colon was waiting outside the home with officers arrived. She put her hands behind her back. When an officer asked her what happened, said told him she had killed her two sons.

Father In Jail

The children were found stabbed to death on a bed inside the locked house where Luis Alonso Garcia lived until his arrest in September for illegal entry and for domestic violence.

As Colon was being taken away by police, she told them, "Their father was in jail, I want him to know."

She later cursed at reporters while being taken to court for arraignment. She was wearing a "Don't Mess With Texas" hat when she was arrested.
