Wanted: The River Rat Bandit

Wednesday September 9, 2009
The FBI is seeking the public's help in catching an unknown male bank robber responsible for a series of violent robberies in Oregon and Washington beginning in early August. He is known as the "River Rat" bandit because he has hit banks on both sides of the Columbia River.

He is in his late 20s or early 30s and is about 5-7 and weighs approximately 165 pounds.

The River Rat bandit always flashes a handgun and demands cash from the tellers. In several cases, he leaped onto or over the teller counter to get cash.

He speaks with an accent and sometimes wears a black athletic-style jacket with a white stripe or a gray zip-up sweatshirt. He also wears a baseball cap, dark sunglasses and latex gloves.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the nearest FBI office or call 9-1-1.

Mr “River Rat” looks remarkably similar to a man profiled in the FBI’s latest Update on Domestic Terrorism wanted on a string of bombings in the same area and last reported as fleeing to Syria. Does anyone ever check that stuff before you add ANOTHER “most wanted” profile to the internet, or do only individuals victimized by these pieces of crud, and the crud themselves, check law enforcement profiles? In addition, the girlfriend of this same “domestic terrorist” — who loves watching buildings blow up ala the Twin Towers and the Alfred P. Murrah Building in OKC has been seen in OKC on more than one occasion over the past four years. Is anybody home???
