Weekly Crime Poll: Childrens' Killer Gets Death Sentence

By , About.com GuideMay 4, 2009

Follow me on:

Alabama Circuit Judge Charles Graddick ordered the death sentence of Lam Luong, after Luong was found guilty of throwing four children off a bridge to their deaths. He also ordered prison officials to show Luong photographs of the four children each day he is on death row.

Poll: Do you agree with the judge's order to show the pictures of the children daily to Luong?

  1. Yes. It will remind him daily of his crime.
  2. No. A person who could do what he did has no conscience.
  3. Undecided.

It depends…what is a profile or diagnosis? Is he more like a true sociopath? then,no,don’t bother. He is wired to not feel the quilt. Was this a crime that made him think he was relieving the childrens suffering?..perhaps then yes…MAYBE he’ll see that this was a wrong permanent solution. We just don’t want him to enjoy viewing his kills.

Individuals who commit crimes of this nature have tons of excuses but absolutely no justification, nor do they have a conscience. They will play the psych game until doomsday, turn on the tears, and eventually find God. What they truly need is to be sentenced to death within a year of sentencing, and die the same way their victims did, and with the same horrible terror.
The crime is even more disgusting if he knew the children and they trusted him; even moreso if the children were sexually abused. You can’t rehab sex offenders, especially where child sex crimes are concerned. They not only like what they are and what they do, but are extremely proud of getting away with it.

Yea, if he is a sociopath then it probably would be a waste of time. But if he did it in a fit of rage or some type of pyschosis, then Im fairly certain he will be affected by the images.

Either way, show the sick bastard!! Force those images in his head!

I know what a body looks like after its been exposed to the elements (water) post mortem. I used to work in a morgue. Its macabre.
