Teacher Faces Multiple Sex Charges

A California high school teacher has been arrested on multiple sexual-related charges after the father of one of her 16-year-old students became suspicious. Christina Oliver, 24, has been charged with child molest or annoyance, lewd or lascivious behavior with a minor, and contact with a minor for the purpose of committing an offense with the minor.

Oliver was a teacher in the Lodi Unified School District in Stockton.

"Things weren't setting well with the father, getting straight answers where (the boy) was going, and who he was with. The student and teacher were communicating via text mail and email and those things," said Police spokesman Pete Smith.

Investigators are trying to determine if there are more victims. Smith is asking anyone with whom Oliver may have had inappropriate contact to call police.
