New York Bouncer Convicted of Kidnapping, Assault

Thursday November 20, 2008
A New York man accused of kidnapping and killing graduate student Imette St. Guillen in February 2006 has been found guilty of kidnapping and assaulting another young college student. A jury deliberated less than three hours before finding Darryl Littlejohn guilty of the abduction of 19-year-old Shanai Woodard.

Littlejohn could be sentenced to 25 years for the conviction in a Queens court.

Evidence showed that Littlejohn was dressed like a police officer and asked Woodward for identification before he handcuffed her and put her into his blue van. DNA evidence in the van was linked to Woodward.

Littlejohn is scheduled to be in court December 5 in Kings County in connection with the first-degree murder of St. Guillen (pictured), who was last seen leaving a Soho nightclub where Littlejohn was working as a bouncer.

Her nude body was found wrapped in a bedspread, bound with plastic ties and packing tape and left in a vacant lot in East New York. The 19-year-old criminal justice grad student at John Jay University was raped, sodomized and choked to death.
