Reward Offered for Clues in Anchorwoman's Murder

Monday October 27, 2008
A $30,000 reward is being offered for information in the case of an Arkansas television anchorwoman who was found brutally beaten in her home last week. Anne Pressly, 26, died from the injuries that she received in the apparent home-invasion robbery a week ago.

Pressly was found by her mother when she failed to answer a regular wake-up call.

During the week, Pressly seemed to be improving and doctors were optimistic that she would survive her injuries, but she died from the injuries to her face, head and neck Saturday night.

Investigators say they do not believe that the local news anchor was targeted or stalked; they believe she was the victim of a random robbery.

One of her credit cards was used at a service station several miles from her home on Monday. Police are studying video tape from nine surveillance cameras located at the station.
