800-Pound Murder Suspect Not Going to Jail

Wednesday August 27, 2008
A Texas woman is a facing first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of her two-year-old nephew but she won't be going to jail while awaiting her capital murder trial. The jail is not big enough to hold her - literally.

The 27-year-old Mayra Rosales weighs 800 pounds, according to court records.

Last week, Rosales was indicted on capital murder charges in the death of her nephew, Eliseo Gonzalez Jr. Police say that the youngster was hit in the head at least twice while he was in the care of his aunt, who is bedridden.

In a hearing this week, Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino told a district judge that incarcerating her would not be possible because the jail does not have a cell large enough for Rosales and does not have the medical staff needed to handle her medical needs.

Instead of incarceration, the judge ordered that Rosales wear a global positioning system tracking device until her trial is scheduled.

I’m sorry, why was the nephew left in the care of a bedridden woman. Not only this woman, but I think someone else should be held responsable too. The nephew was only two. Poor little guy.

Why not make her lose weight by lyposuction or any other means and then put her in jail. Better yet kill her the same way she kill the baby. CAPITAL PUNISHMENT - DON’T DELAY - DO IT TODAY.
