Weekly Crime Poll: Do You Believe Caylee Anthony Is Still Alive?

Saturday July 26, 2008
Two-year-old Caylee Anthony is missing and according to her mother Casey Anthony, she has been missing since June 9, 2008. Anthony told investigators that she left Caylee with a friend and nanny, but has since lost contact with her friend. Police were not told about the missing child until July 15, 2008, when the child’s grandparents reported Caylee missing after confronting Casey and learning that the mother had not seen her daughter for well over a month.

Poll: Do you believe Caylee Anthony is still alive?

(1) beverly.hamilton says:

I think it is a possibility that her mother accidently left her in the car, and once she realized she was dead, she may have gotten someone close to her (friend) to help her hide the body. Probably not G-Ma. That person may not have told her where her body is now, because she doesn’t want to know.
The baby sitter story is definitly a cover-up.
If her attorney thinks she is being truthful, he needs to tell her to take a lie-detector test.
HAVE THEY LET THE SEARCH DOGS CHECK OUT THE CAR SEAT WHERE SHE MAY ACTUALLY HAVE DIED IN THE HOT CAR?
G-Ma is probably having a very hard time (not wanting to believe) that she may have lost both her grand child and her daughter. Because she feels devastated, she wants to keep believing her daughter’s babysitter story and keep looking for her, to the point of blaming the police and the media.

(2) David in Detroit says:

People change their speach patterns when they lie… I’ve listened to the various phone calls with Casey and she is lying… Here’s how I know… She didn’t use contractions…

When people lie, they fail to use contractions… Remember Bill Clinton’s famous “I did not have sexual relations with that woman” He would have said “didn’t” if he was telling the truth…

O.J. Simpson’s famous quote “I did not, would not , and could not kill my wife”… No contractions… Liars are easy to spot…

Second indicator, an answer to simple question that excedes 7 words is a lie… Ever been stopped by a police officer after drinking? he asks “how many have you had” and your answer is ” well I think I had maybe two or three”… That’s a lie and he knows it because he counted your words… If it was 2 drinks you would answer “two”…

when caseys friend amy huizenga was asked by the police (in the arrest affidavit) when the last time was she saw caylee, her response was “i do not recall” isnt that clintons old line…

(4) Stephen says:

It’s all very clear, when you look at the physical evidence:

1) Grandma’s a registered nurse, so she knows human phytotomy. The smell of decomposition could potentially be recognized by her - but due to the stress of the moment, this smell could be replaced by “pizza or other garbage” in hindsight.

2) The car holds the majority of the evidence of a possible homicide. Casey had reportedly gone on a “shopping binge” in the days leading up to this. Possible, perhaps, that Casey left the daughter in the car for “just a moment” which turned out to be longer than expected? In Orlando in June (or July), this could prove fatal.

3) The “abnormalities” in the dirt in the grandparents’ back yard could point to nothing, as could the reports of the freshly-poured cement slab and the borrowing of a shovel from a neighbor. If there are renovations going on back there, this would not be so unusual. But the finding of dirt and hair in the trunk of the car do sound more suspicious in light of these findings.

4) Why would the car be abandoned in a parking lot? Running out of gas is believable, though it sounds unlikely since Casey was using funds from her mother’s bank account (according to grandma’s 911 call). More likely is that the car was abandoned and the gasoline removed from it to make it appear as if it had coincidentally run out of gas there (in light of the other evidence - too many coincidences do not add up).

5) Credible threats which had been allegedly made against Casey and/or her family is the presumed reason Casey did not speak up before. Casey is 22 years old, unemployed, carless, and living with a boyfriend of less than two months. Does she really have the means to “investigate” on her own? Wouldn’t it be more plausible to warn the family members of threats made against them, rather than to take the word of a person (or persons) who “betrayed” her to begin with?

6) A witness on an airplane recalls a toddler giving her name as “Caylee Antony” (no pronounced “h”). Yeah. An unrelated witness who can accurately remember the name spoken to her by an unknown three-year-old on a flight, and who calls the distressed grandmother of the child to relay this information… How much validity can be given to this particular lead?

It sounds as if Casey, after leaving her child in a hot car to die, attempted to cover up the death by burying the child in her parents’ back yard, and upon having second thoughts, felt it better to allow another individual (or individuals) to do so for her, elsewhere. Casey attempted to cover up the missing child by “staging” phone calls wherein she told Caylee to get off a table (letting the caller believe that the child was right there during the call), and Casey’s receiving a one-minute phone call (in her mother’s presence) wherein she asks Caylee to “give the phone to an adult.” The car remained abandoned because Casey, filled with remourse or guilt over her daughter’s death therein, could not bring herself to use it again - or perhaps the odor permeated the car so completely by then that she simply could not do so for more practical reasons.

(5) jan says:

This mmother is a pathalogical liar and a sociopath. She has detached herself from her missing child and all she wants is to speak to her boyfriend “Tony”. Nothing she says makes sense. I do believe that the grandparents love the child and want her home but I also believe that they really do know their daughter is lying but are covering up for her. They are in denial.
The baysitter does not exist as no one connected with this case has ever heard of a babysitter. Something terrible has happened to this sweet innocent child. While I pray that the child will be found my intuition tells me that she is dead. If she is–I will bet anyone that the mother is responsible. If so I hope the mother is found guilty and is given the electric chair.

(6) gina says:

it is so pathetic that this woman casey is so self centered that she will not help her child. i personally think casey lacks maturity among other things, i think she felt replaced by caylee in her mom and dads eyes and harbors some kind of sick resentment and jealousy for her own child.the grandmother is wishy washy, one minute protecting caylee, the next trying to cover for casey, mmmm,is caseys behaviour learned from mom?

July 28, 2008 at 10:44 pm
(7) christina says:

I think this mom is absolutely guilty! She did something or had something done to her child. Probally the bf helped thats why she wants to talk to him…This heartless B**** showed little or no emotions at first until the media started focusing on it, now you see the tears, ya and they are only for show or her crying for her lack of the partying life she so desperately wanted. She needs to lay off with all the lies, these people are trying to find your daughter, BUT she knows shes dead and thats why she let 30 days go by before calling so it would be harder to find evidence and arrest her. This bs about a hot car, come on…. This chick has made up so many lies about ppl, jobs, ect. her childs dead and she did it only the GUILTY need to LIE!!!!!

July 29, 2008 at 1:08 pm
(8) ballzdeep says:

I agree with Stephen’s theory re: cause of death. I think this gal left her kid in a hot car “for a few minutes,” probably as she went into a friend’s to chat - maybe someone had some cocaine, and/or booze, and she ended up staying longer than she had planned. Anyway, once she finds her kid is dead, she knows she’s ####, as in Fla especially, the law has cracked down on that phenomenon. So, she puts the kid in the trunk - eventually disposing of it. Since she is narcissistic and generally seems to have no soul, she is able to absolve herself of any responsibility - and even of the reality of the situation.

She does have enough feral, bilge-rat intelligence to play the stupid game - aka “Where am I?” In hopes of crawling out from under a homicide charge…

July 29, 2008 at 3:23 pm
(9) Gut Wrenched says:

I think everyone is being judgemental, yes nothing adds up and yes Im just as nauseated over this as anyone else, I have mixed feelings about whether Caylee is alive or dead.. whichever it is, I wish they would find her :( God knows the truth and the truth will come out eventually. What’s taking so long for results to come back about the hair and dirt they found in the car? I think the media is twisting things and not giving the whole truth as it is either. Part of me feels like this is nothing but a wild goose chase a deversion for what is surely to come and part of me feels like Caylee is alive but maybe sold for drugs or whatever? Only God and Casey know the truth and maybe only God knows the truth, Im not sure Casey even knows whats true or not right now so Im not going to sit here and judge her and call her all kinds of names but I wont stand up for her either. I will pray that she tells the truth or that someone anyone will come forward with some answers soon.

July 29, 2008 at 5:12 pm
(10) MomTo2Gr8tKids says:

Casey knows that Caylee is dead. She made up the name/address of the “babysitter.” No one, not one person has EVER met this babysitter.

The whole thing is disgusting.

There was also mention of “people who are threatening the family” and that is why Casey won’t tell the truth…please.

She made the comment that everyone “only cares about getting Caylee back.” Yeah, I’d say she is self centered and probably killed that baby because she is a selfish, uncaring, cold person. She has shown no emotion about Caylee..she is a sorry excuse for a mom.

What about having her take a lie detector test to possibly pin point some clues?

I’d love to take her out, get her drunk and talking.

I hope and pray that Caylee is safe and well, but I don’t think that’s the case at all.

No death would be cruel enough to punish her if she did kill her daughter…

Casey…if you read this get your head out of your butt and TELL THE TRUTH! You are only making people despise you more and more by lying. You say you are telling police what they need to know to find Caylee, but they aren’t listening? Oh, they are listening. They can’t find her because everything coming out of your mouth is a LIE.

July 30, 2008 at 12:23 am
(11) Pluto says:

If my daughter went missing, I’d be telling everything I knew constantly to ANYONE who would listen - police, media, anyone. You couldn’t shut me up! I wouldn’t be able to stop crying. I would be begging the police to ask me questions, I’d be offering every thought I could come up with. Her (and her parent’s) refusal to “discuss aspects” and Casey’s lack of emotion (except for herself) says it all. Why wasn’t the gma babysitting Caylee during the year prior? She was just fine with her going *somewhere* to some nanny and never knowing where - while the little girl lived with her? She’d better hope they keep her in jail (Casey), cause I really don’t think she would be safe on the street. I’ve read comments from too many people who think they could get her to talk. I agree with the idea that she probably was using her car as the real babysitter. Her whole attitude towards her child is strange. Who could send their 2 year old “off to the beach” for the weekend, while she parties? I’d be worried sick about my 2 year old at the beach without me supervising. The problem with liars is that they are so used to lying that they don’t realize how obvious it is that they are lying. They think everyone thinks in the twisted way they do, and don’t realize they are shooting red flags all over the place. Why don’t they give her a polygraph???? OK, I’m done. I’m just so sad for this baby. It brings back those beautiful babies Susan Smith did away with. I cried for a month over them.

July 30, 2008 at 10:21 am
(12) worried mother says:

Its clear that the family has a pattern of behavior with Casey. She lies, they find out, they threaten her, they cover for her. The disappearance of Caylee follows the same pattern. I find it interesting that the entire family tiptoes around Casey when dealing with her. There is no way that baby is still alive. Something happened to her-either accidentally or by the mother’s hand and Casey covered it up. She waited 31

(13) Holly says:

You know nothing sounds good here. 31 days and counting and no sign of this little girl. As a mother I would be devasted and upset. Theres no way on earth I can keep my composure! This mothert is just so in your face..something stinks. I dont think sadley that this child is alive. what a tradgedy!

(14) John De Herrera says:

christina says:
“This bs about a hot car, come on…. This chick has made up so many lies.”

Christina - it is less likely that mom Casey just up and murdered Caylee? This could happen! Most likely, mom so busy “shopping, partying, having sex, drugs, etc.” that she forgot Caylee in car and she perished. Now she is busy covering up fiasco.

I HOPE AND PRAY THAT SHE IS ALIVE.

July 30, 2008 at 10:36 pm
(16) Cynical says:

Alive or not? Please. This is a no-brainer. The lack of emotion and lack of cooperation with the authorities is not a surprise to me at all. Clearly, Casey is as selfish as they come. If little Caylee were still alive, Casey would be singing like a canary so that she can get out of the clink so that she can resume partying. If there was an outside chance that Caylee was “sold” for drugs as someone suggested, again, she would be singing like a bird — not so much that Caylee can be found, but so that Casey can be free, etc. This is absolutely HORRIBLE. If and when this case goes to trial, Casey is done … no jury in the world will let this horrible woman free under any circumstances.

(17) tamara says:

I think the mother did it and the family is covering for her. casey Anthony should be put in prison for the rest of her life. shes a low life and a selfish human being. that beautiful little girl is dead.

July 31, 2008 at 12:13 pm
(18) Cin says:

It’s one of two things. Either the little girl is dead, or the Mom knows exactly where she is, knows she is safe and is punishing the grandmother. It would seem the grandmother and Caylee were very close; perhaps Caylee’s mom resented this.

August 1, 2008 at 3:11 pm
(19) Keisha says:

Where do I begin ,Casey is a lunatic she can lie without thinking twice about it.She makes no sense whatsoever and will pay for what she’s done.Caylee was well kept and very pretty and thats only because the grandmother made sure she had.Leave it to Casey that child would’ve had nothing.Casey was jealous of her own child, that little girl was probably smarter than her and probably had a few choice words herself for her mother.Chidren are veryyyy smart and tell it like it is. Next question ,WHY HAVENT WE HEARD ANY OTHER JAIL CALLS SHE’S MADE,I WOULD LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE TO HEAR WHAT SHE SAYS TO TONY LAZARRO (BOYFRIEND).She was begging for his number did she evr call him from jail.I need to know this!

(20) Diane says:

Does anyone know if the brother can collect the reward if he solves the “case”? Casey is out of jail, the brother “finds” Caylee. Lots of reward money out there’

August 2, 2008 at 1:30 am
(21) Ray says:

It’s only a matter of time before Casey is charged with Caylee’s murder. If you go to the Orlando Channel 2 website, WESH.com, you can download and read the arrest report.

Casey led the police on a wild goose chase around Orlando and finally admitted she was lying about all the information she had supplied - except the part about leaving Caylee at the “nanny”. All of Casey’s friends that the police interviewed described her as a habitual liar. Then consider the fact that Casey is asking for immunity in exchange for her cooperation and information. It doesn’t take much to surmise that Casey did in fact kill this child and then disposed of the body. Whether or not the killing was intentional will come out at trial, but any reasonable person would conclude that Casey is responsible for Caylee’s disappearance and knows exactly what happened.

It is also obvious that Cindy has a much larger role in this case than she is leading people to believe. Everyone is focused on the lies told by Casey, but Cindy has made just as many lies and has even admitted that she has “stretched the truth”. This case is unfolding just like OJ, Scott Peterson, Susan Smith, and all the others.

August 2, 2008 at 4:48 pm
(22) Suzanne says:

I agree with Cin. Casey knows exactly where she is that’s why she is so unconcerned. Caylee is either dead or Casey has her with someone in order to keep the grandmother away. But what do you expect when you live with your parents? They are going to get attached to their grandchildren. So you move out for a month in order to bond with your child? Wow, must have been quite some power struggle going on.

August 4, 2008 at 8:32 am
(23) Ray says:

According to George, Casey told him that Caylee was close and would be home for her birthday party on Friday. George and Cindy both say that Casey is telling the truth and that they believe her 100%.

So why haven’t they called off the search? After all, Caylee is going to be home Friday.

August 4, 2008 at 8:41 pm
(24) ANOTHER GRANDMOTHER says:

I BELIEVE KAYLEE IS DEAD. I THINK CASEY DECIDED SHE WANTED A CARE FREE LIFE TO PARTY HARTY AND HAS MURDERED HER DAUGHTER TO HAVE THAT LIFESTYLE AND I THINK THE GRANDMOTHER CINDY AND FAMILY NEED TO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE SHE IS A LIAR

August 5, 2008 at 7:30 am
(25) bob says:

I believe cases like this are driven by the defense lawyers. Casey’s lawyer now has a national case to advertise his services and to become well-known to the average citizen. So the next guilty party will remember his name. This woman is beyond guilty and it is so obvious she is just trying to protect her own ass. I also feel this girl is no longer living and is her body is well hidden. She may be able to bury the memories of her daughter now, but they will surface at some point and she will restle with them the rest of her life.

August 5, 2008 at 5:43 pm
(26) Dale says:

This whole thing makes no sense. How/Why are the cops letting this wacko Casey get away by just saying ” I don’t know “? Does she really think she is fooling anyone? Her parents know, deep down they know that something terrible has happened. Even if they won’t admit it. The blatant careless attitude of casey is so angering. I think the police know this is a homicide investigation, even if they don’t know where caylee is. They aren’t saying much, they are gathering their evidence. They don’t want anyone to really know what they are doing so the family won’t cover up. So casey can’t come up with more lies. They are going to hang her and I really feel sorry for the parents when they have to accept the truth.

August 5, 2008 at 11:00 pm
(27) Say it for Christ says:

I’ve been reading other blogs and some of them are saying that ALL family members are involved, hence the “code talk” with Lee. Some wonder if Caylee is Lee’s or Grandfather’s daughter. Some say, if you find the boyfriend, you’ll find the child. I just wonder why the “new” pouring of concrete in the back yard on the 4th of July weekend???. Too weird for me. A psychiatrist’s nightmare! I pray for a soon decent ceremony to lay Caylee to a proper rest in God.

August 6, 2008 at 2:30 am
(28) kaj says:

The mother is responsible…end of story. Anyone who thinks otherwise is out of touch with reality. Hey Casey, hope you burn in hell you murdering whore!! If you manage to get out somehow hope someone slices you from ear to ear! Hang you from a tree and bleed you like the pig you are!!!

August 6, 2008 at 3:24 am
(29) Chalenia says:

I think Caylee is probably with Jesus. I really do not think Lee and grandpa are involved because they are still searching for the baby. I think Grandma has finally come to the conclusion that Casey actually is guilty because she didn’t go visit Casey today in jail. I suspect she probably can not stand the sight of her. Sometimes you have to make people believe you are on their side to get the truth from them. I’m giving the grandparents the benefit of the doubt. If my granddaughter were missing I’d do and say anything to my daughter if I thought she were responsible to get her to tell me the truth. Thank God I’m not in the predicament. I pray daily for Caylee and I truly believe in Karma.

August 6, 2008 at 2:47 pm
(30) Jim says:

Why hasn’t the Orange County DA brought additional charges, such as grand theft. Stealing her mother’s c/c and going on a shopping trip of $25,000??!! What did she buy?
Did she buy anything for Caylee or was it all
the sexy clothing Casey was wearing at various
nigthclubs?

August 6, 2008 at 6:03 pm
(31) Dave says:

I have had pizza sit for weeks in a trash can outside, I had a stray cat hide behind my shed to die and didn’t discover him for several day’s.

Only a MORON couldn’t tell the difference in these two smell, there is NO comparison.

Decomposing flesh has a sickening smell that cannot be duplicated.

This girl Casey, I refuse to call her a woman, girl is an insult even to girls, is the lowest of the low. Anybody that saw the 10 minute jail cell converstion can see what a true narrcisic monster she is.

She has absolutely no concern for her daughter only herself. I can’t even blame the parents on her even though it would be easy to. I don’t care how coddled or spoiled Casey was no parenting could produce this, it has to come from a dark dark inner soul.

August 7, 2008 at 1:48 am
(32) chicagobonnie says:

I believe the mother has either killed the child or allowed someone else to kill her.
It is obvious by the way the mother flirts with everyone that she is in desperate need for attention and affection. She doesnt seem to care at all what happened to her daughter. It’s all about her. She cried in court because she does not want to be in jail not because her daughter is missing.
I have seen other women like this mother and they have one thing in common and that is they don’t care about anyone else. Someone stole this mothers heart and souls at an early age. Someone molested this mother. That grandmother is out of touch with reality and has no clue who her daughter really is inside. She makes lots of excuses and covers for her, enabling her daughter to continue on in sickness. I pray this mother gets a conscience and stops with her pathological lying and tells the truth and finds that baby. AT least let her have a decent burial.

August 7, 2008 at 4:36 pm
(33) trish says:

I think Caylee is dead but I hope not. Then I was thinking because she keeps saying she is alright and she will be home for her birthday. That maybe she is still alive and it all started out as getting even with mom (grand mom) taking her away from grand mom. Maybe there is a Nanny (babysitter-Friend) that took Caylee on a vacation and is out of the country some where and doesn’t really knows what’s going on and they are due back on her birthday and Casey is doing this all because she plans on turning around suing everyone for false charge so she can make money to live on her own and not have to do what mom and dad say and can raise Caylee the way she wants with out grandma and granddad in the picture. Casey is just way to cool about this.

August 7, 2008 at 6:29 pm
(34) Abby says:

Whatever happened to this child is horrible. It could have caused a psychotic break for Casey and perhaps the questioning should be turned over to mental health professionals. Pleading, threats and formal charges have not worked. Total denial is the only reason this child’s body has not been discovered yet.

This is so sad for this entire family, and saddest of all for Caylee, who suffered so much at a young age. God bless that little soul.

(35) Janette says:

I have read that today is your birthday…the whole world wishes you a “Happy Birthday little princess” and if you have a wish to make besides the usual 3 year old wish of a pony, wish to be found. My prayers are with you little one and to those that love you and want you home.

(36) Rick says:

Sadly this story breaks my heart, an innocent child being hurt by anybody is terrible. Is Caylee dead? yes she is, and I can honestly say I pray that I am wrong. I wonder if the mom is in protective custody or out in the inmate population? if she is in population I would highly suggest for one of them inmates to beat the truth out of her, or maybe they could use the tactics that we use in Guantanamo?? We need closure to this, I hope she lives but my miind won’t let me beleive it

(39) Dreams says:

I think Caylee is dead, but I really hope I’m wrong. I live in a state no where near FL but Have been following the case. I have a little girl who will be 3 later this month myself. I did have a weird dream though last night about this case. Maybe I ate dinner too late or something last night, but I never dream vivid dreams like this. In my dream, Casey was in trouble with a bunch of people for refusing to pay back a drug debt or for witnessing a horrible crime of some sort. The “babysitter” is involved. She has someone she knew take Caylee to Mexico and threatened to hurt her if Casey didn’t pay her debts. My dream ended with Casey in jail for months refusing to talk becuase she didn’t want to hurt Caylee and was scared by the threats made. After about 6 months, someone spotted Caylee in Mexico and reported it to authorities and Casey was let out of jail.

I would love to believe this is the case but I’m skeptical. This poor little girl needs to be found — regardless. I wonder if there is any connection to the Madeline McCann Case. There appears to be some similarities.

Any way, just my thoughts.

(40) Tragic says:

Again like everyone else, i hope i am wrong. I believe this beautiful little girl is not alive. I am 19 years old and all I can say is though i am not a young mother, if I were ever faced with it, I know in my heart I would do everything I can to protect my child and I would love them every day.

I believe her mother totally had something to do with her dissapearance, whether it was intential or not- who knows. However her lies make me absolutley sick. Though there is no hard evidence - which i find hard to belive- her inconsistant lies are enough to conclude she knows more than she says. Maybe she can’t yet be charged with the dissapearance or muder, but they should keep her disgusting self in prision until they solve this case.

This case is an outrage and it seems that the public is more concerned than the family.

Seeing this child’s picture gets me very emotional. I hope she is okay and is found soon.

I believe that Casey had something to do with her daughters disappearance, the way she lies about everything,it just dont make sense. Her stealing on the checks and gas show signs of drug use, i know some people who showed similar signs and was using, and the most disturbing was when she gave a quick grin in the court room something is not right and i hope they do find caylee alive.

I don’t think any sort of accident occurred. She told her boyfriend her child was with “the nanny” at the beach for the weekend. This immature, unresponsible mom (she does not deserve that last title) did not have two nickles to rub together but wanted her boyfriend to believe she could afford a nanny?!?! She is just another Susan Smith who got rid of her child to appear more desirable to a man who no longer wants to be associated with her…what a shame.

did anyone ever think that maybe her boyfriend “Tony” didn’t want to date a girl that had a child so Casey got rid of her little precious one???
Also - if Casey is not talking because she doesn’t want to jeopordize the safety of Caylee - why are her parents talking about the “kidnappers” and how they are under survelleince and how would they know this if they haven’t spoke to Casey? All very fishy to me..

(48) Summer says:

I found it very interesting to say the least that George the (grandfather) states that they know who the kidnappers are and that they are being watched. If that in fact is a true statement, then why would the Grandfather need to be toting a billboard with a picture of Caylee all around the State? To me that sounds very contradicting. If they know who has Caylee and where she is then there is no need to tote a billboard around. Nothing in this case makes any sense and neither does this.

(49) doesn't know what to think says:

I either think that

1. Caylee is dead, and Casey is responsible for the death (or hiding of the body).

or

2. Caylee is completely safe, and Casey knows exactly where she is. And the only reason for leading polic and the media on a wild goose chase is so she can write a book about it later, and make tons of money.

Regardless, I’d rather have the latter be the case, and have Caylee alive. I hope they find her soon, and that she’s alright.

(50) Kelly says:

Remember if you don’t want the child you can give them up for ADOPTION. It rips me apart that this little girl could be alive today and living with a couple who can’t have kids. I hope Casey finds hell comfy cozy for herself. She is a psychopath. My theory is she killed the kid purposefully or accidently and then buried her near the airport. The grandparents could have prevented all this by looking for the signs that Casey couldn’t handle raising this child. Also any psyche issues would have been noted long before Caylee. I think this woman should get the death penalty once they find out she did it. She did do it. I wonder if she is mandatoried to see a psychiatrist???

I agree with you Kelly. I myself adopted a little boy whose mother did not want. This whole family needs a shrink. The only victim here is that little girl.

(52) Momof2boys says:

How dare this piece of trash, Casey Anthony, attempt to lead the police and FBI to believe that this little girl is still alive. For parents of children who REALLY are MISSING it is like the boy who cried wolf. You get all of these volunteers together along with authorities to look for a dead girl. In my opinion it desensitizes people to missing children in general. I saw where the grandmother at one point wanted to put an Amber alert out for Caylee… why?? Casey knows where Caylee is and EVERYBODY know that.
What about all of the money and other resources spent on this case? They could be spent on the children who really need help being found.

(53) Kalico in Texas says:

The mom is guilty. Believe she either sold little Caylee or she is responsible for Caylee’s death. The authorities will solve this case! The parents are covering something up perhaps to protect their daughter. Again, the case will be solved.

Does it really matter what any of our opinions are? Opinions are’nt going to do this little girl any good. i think casey gave her daughter away for money,or killed her. she shows no concern for anyone other than herself.if she knows who supposedly has her daughter why not tell the police so they can get her back.if the person who “has” caylee does anything to her then the police will know and they can be arrested. why sit in jail when you can free yourself by giving up the real criminal. maybe because there is no other person and casey is the one. she wants everyone to think she is the victim. she is a poor excuse for a mother. no mother would let their child go through what caylee did/is going through. she needs to be locked up forever.

(56) S.Carlson says:

First off, I do not believe that Caylee Anthony is still
alive. With that being said, I do believe that she died at
the hands of her mother. Whether it was an accident, or it
was done out of anger or to just be rid of the responsibility
of having a child.
It seems that Casey has been given the easy way out
her entire life by her parents. I have watched interviews of
the parents and can see that they have helped to create the
monster we now know as Casey Anthony. Casey fits the profile
of a psychopath having narcassistic behavior.
My heart aches for little Caylee, but where she is now I don’t
think she has to worry about anything frightening or anything hurting
or not having her mommie around. It is so sad to think that she is no
longer with us, but after this much time has passed and this much
publicity and noone coming forward it would seem that death is
pretty much a given.
I hope that additional charges will come down before this Bail
Bondsman is able to bail Casey out of jail, otherwise I worry that
she will be a flight risk with the help of her parents.

(57) lala says:

I could go on for days about how this case has become a damn circus and how much i want to break my computer everytime i read an update.

How can casey be in court and even bear a smile or laugh? She probably sleeps so well at night knowing she can manipulate people in the system by tip toeing around all of those technacalities and not have to answer questions that she clearly knows the answer to. And her family supporting her through this?

What pisses me off even more, if say Casey is found guilty, what would they charge her with? (depending on how and what happened, could she possibly be charged with manslaughter?)

IE: Her mother forgot her in the car, and caylee died. Because it wasn’t premeditatied, Could that possibly be second degree murder or manslaughter?
Sorry if my qeustion is silly, i really would like to know if that is a possibility.

(58) Christine says:

I believe Caylee is alive. Photoshop pictures of Caylee with blonde hair should be displayed. I feel the mom sent her away/gave her away and the media should request the person who has Caylee take her to the nearest hospital and leave Caylee in good hands. I also believe in these peoples eyes things have become too complicated with the risk of prosecution and fines. The mother is in jail and may truly not know at this moment where her daughter is. However she does know where she took her. People keep mentioning that they want Caylee to come HOME. I pray social services gets involved and Caylee is never allowed to see her mother or grandparents without supervision from an FBI agent. When Caylee’s mother is released there will be paper trails. I do hope the police aren’t botching this case the way the police botched the case of the Britian girl stolen from her hotel room when the parents were out to dinner. Or the famous Colorado case where the little girl died in the parents home. Just a few weeks ago the Phila Craig’slist.com had an ad for a mother wanting to give up her child.
People need to be reminded that if you do not want your child take the child to the hospital. I do hope Caylee is found alive I also hope she is placed in a supportive, loving, nurturing, caring enviroment. God Bless Caylee

(59) dee says:

Finally some bloggers have posed the question, who is really Caylee’s biological father? I find it nauseating that the press automatically believes the grandmother’s quick retort to who is the father of Caylee. How can the press, including Greta Van Susteran’s reporters be so incredibly dense? Not one person has truly verified the REAL father, so of course, the grandmother will spew out another fabricated story. I’m certain somewhere there is blood type of the child recorded, and just maybe some wise and detail oriented investigator might get the facts about the father.

I think it is possible that the grandfather might be Caylee’s father. I am not saying this as a fact, just a hunch, that may not turn out to anything. But the lack of FACTS being reported is ridiculous. Picking a guy that just so happened to die in a car accident is not a fact, since no one can even verify that he dated, and or knew her.

No, I do not think the child is alive.

I believe a DNA test should be performed on the father of Caycee. Also I believe Caycee was involved in prostitution along with involment in a drug ring. There also should be an investigation on the bounty hunter and his associates for any linkage to drug related matters. This complete entire family is disfunctional.

(62) Robin says:

This case is so frustrating!!! She is out now and the family spokesperson is saying she is giving information now. He says he is definately convinced the child was kidnapped. Come on………….how is it any different telling your family where the child is versus the detectives. Either way someone needs to go get her if that was the case. The detectives would have been better equiped to handle such a situation. NO WAY is she kidnapped and if she was she would have told the detectives how to find her. Let’s just say even if she was, Casey doesn’t even act like she was. I can barely spend one night away from my kids. She would be devasted if she KNEW Caylee was alive in someone else’s arms and not her’s. She knows she is dead and that nothing can be done now but she is just hoping evidence doesn’t surface. She would have talked to the detectives if she was innocent. She not concerned for anyone but herself.

Despite my gut feeling, I hope I am so wrong and that Caylee will be found alive but not given back to any of the Anthonys.

I dont know if this question was answered if anyone knows u can comment on it ..but when Caycee was on her shopping spree did she buy anything for her child .. that tells a lot .. if she didnt buy anything for her child she was already gone and she didnt expect her to return…

The reward is 250k . why didnt the bailbonds offer the 500k reward if the baby is still alive someone would certainly collect on that . What did she spend the 43k credit card on ? What did she buy ? Did she pay someone to take baby to Mexico or another country ?>

(65) Lynne says:

Well…is anyone shocked or in disbelief that the air samples sent for forensic study have returned confirming the presence of a decomposing body in the trunk of Casey’s car? As the old adage goes…time will tell and aparently now the truth is making itself known loud and clear. My hope now is that there will be an end to all of the speculation as to whether this all was a result of misjudjement at the time of an accident or homicide. Any parent worth a grain of salt would have sought help immediately for a child involved in an accident. They most certainly would not have placed their child in the trunk of a vehicle to decompose while plotting a way to remove themselves from suspicion and partying it up around town. As one peerson previously commented…the innocent need not lie. This vomitous mass of a mother has proven herself to be a pathological liar for whom the foremost and only concern is herself. It is also deeply disturbing to me the amount of time that has passed in which the search and investigation have been obstructed by the family’s enabling of the daughter’s pathology. Perhaps now that they are faced with cold, hard evidence that indeed there was a body in the trunk they will cease with their misguided and pathetic attempt to maintain the integrity of the tangled web of sociopathy their daughter has woven. We all should pray that there is justice for Caylee…both societal and divine.

(66) Chris says:

I don’t know why everyone is giving this person the benefit of the doubt that the death of Caylee was even an accident. My feeling is that this poor baby’s body in decomposing in a landfill, and her mother knows that every day that goes by makes it harder for officials to ever find it. Accidental or intentional, this person deserves to spend at least a majority of her pathetic life in prison where she can dirty dance with her new “girlfriends”.

So ive read that the DNA samples have confirmed the hair and blood are baby caylee’s…i checked a few different sources to make sure it wasn’t bogus, and they all said the same thing…
Ive followed this case from the beginning. People have always said they believed casey had something to do with it, as we all have heard. I think that people would still think casey had something to do with it, even if these tests did not come back to prove they were Caylees. With that being said, I am relieved that they have finally uncovered some solid evidence to bring this circus to an end.

It deeply saddens me to believe that Caylee is dead. One thing is, is most of us did not believe she was alive. Now with this found evidence i hope they build a case to put that chilling psycho away for ever.

(69) Shelby says:

I’m wondering if Detectives recovered the bag of trash the impound guy threw out of the trunk the day the Anthony’s picked up the car. Also, Cindy Anthony says there were cleaning supplies in the back of the trunk… wonder if that included bleach?? Casey could have tried to cover something up but from what I gather, this young mother has never watched an eppisode of Forensic Files. If the cops had found call logs/text messages/instant messages from the “babysitter” (and they don’t need your lost phone or archives to find that)then the doubt they have would diminish. It all looks bad for Casey Anthony but even worse for Caylee. I, like the majority, feel like this is going to end badly. In my opinion, Casey is used to getting away with everything. I just wish the public would lighten up on the Grandparents. How can you criticize them for believing Caylee’s still alive. I can’t even begin to imagine what that family’s going through. As far as covering for their daughter… get out… Cindy had her arrested once! It all comes down to trust and we only know what they (the family, cops etc.) want us to know.

I believe the little girl is sadly gone. When the grandma found Casey did they bring her car home at that time? when she opened the trunk to remove the dirty clothes she admitted she had already smelt the dead body in the dam trunk…
i would never have prioritized to wash them. Unless you wanted to hide evidence! when did the internet search happen? after the car was found or before? I think someone is involved….. besides casey! has anyone checked the dump records to see if maybe she dropped off any garbage……

The very saddest thing of all is that None Of Us, have ever met this child and we show more concern about her than her own Mother. Everyday, I pray that she is in a better place, and that includes being with someone who actually cares about her, unlike her so called “Mother”, or that she has moved on to the next life. I pray she didn’t suffer. Please Lord, watch over all the Caylee’s in this ever worsening World. Amen Unfortunately, this isn’t the first and even more sad, won’t be the last story like this one. I only hope that “Casey” isn’t a sign of things to come. I pray she’s not the New Breed of Child Killers that can now be so cold that nothing will Crack the hard shell to the truth. Since comparing her to Susan Smith, whom I thought to be the most Evil, at least Susan did Break and tell the God Aweful Truth of what she’s done. I Pray for all of Mankind if this is what we have to look forward to. If so, We’re Doomed.

I’m torn here. I’m not sure what to think or believe. What I do know is that I am 24 year old single mother of a 3 year old who has support from my family, sacrificed everything since I was 20, work 2 jobs 6 days a week to support the 2 of us, and would not take ANYTHING back and find this whole story disgusting. After reading this, I went out to my car to find my daughter’s stuffed “chicken” buckeled up in the back seat and it just made me smile because she has no worries in the world. This POOR POOR little girl. I just know that even if for the sickening thought I were to EVER not capable of raising my daughter I would much rather sit my family down and explain my situation, have them help me out, have my daughter be able to carry on her care free life as a 3 year old should then hurt every single person involved. Heck, Casey could have dialed 100 misc phone numbers and anyone she called would have happily taken that beautiful girl. And at 3 years old? are you kidding me? my daughter is so full of life I just can’t imagine. Casey, I hope you miss waking up to the, “I love you so much, Mommy.” or perhaps you never did.
I willingly admit that there are times where parenting is hard, challenging, time consuming, and yes it does affect your whole life everyday but in the end is so rewarding. I don’t know why Casey would want to do this if her mother was such any active part in Caylee’s life. I’m just not understanding…..I feel so much for what that little princess may have went through.

(73) Ana says:

Casey is obviously lying, but it’s unclear about what (e.g. Killing her herself, or knowing who did). I think it’s most believable that she accidently killed her (e.g. Leaving her in a hot car) and then got scared and needed to cover up. And, that’s what all the lies are about. This story is so old “Mom is more interested in her romantic life, than her own child” Are some women really that desparate.

(81) D Joyce says:

One of the things that bothers me, among several, is that scientific studies I read all showed that at least 90 days in the scalp of a cadaver has to pass before a post-mortem dark band will form on the hair. That means Caylee would have had to have been dead for at least 90 days before they found the car where the hair later showed up, and she had not even been missing that long. This makes me think its not her hair or doesn’t really have a band.

I also know that chloroform forms when you combine different antibacterial cleaning products like Cindy used to clean the car and from animal decomposition, among other things, and I also found this confirmed in technical journals and studies.

Cadaver dogs are wrong at least 20% of the time and the handler can be wrong if they misread the alerts. There are many other anomalies I found including a woman named Gloria Gonzalez living on the street Casey said she lived on (that was the name she gave for Zenaida’s mother — not the Zenaida the police talked to who had totally different family members than Casey gave).

I hope the defense can afford to test what untainted evidence remains and bring in some unbiased forensic experts to make sure these facts are right. I try to keep the constitution in mind and not judge people — innocent until proven guilty and not the opposite.

I just hope Caylee is still alive, and wish that the police and public had not tried Casey in the public eye based on what they have been spoon-fed in the media without seeing the proof & wish they had not stopped following up on tips coming in of potential sightings of Caylee in case she is still alive.

I also find it ironic that the prosecutor didn’t have enough to indict her until the day she requested permission to search for her daughter — only then did they indict her likely in an attempt to keep her from being permitted to search for her daughter. She would have been supervised and they had nothing to fear, so what were they afraid she might find?

This story is absolutely disgusting. This whole family is disgusting. I’m sorry, but if my grand-daughter was ever missing I would be doing everything possible to bring her home and would not sleep until she was found. You can’t say you want what’s best for your grand-daughter if you’re helping to cover for your daughter when she’s the main suspect. I was really hoping that a miracle would happen and we’d find this little girl alive and well, even though it’s obvious she’s gone. And now with the discovery of a female child’s bones not even a mile away from her own home? No wonder Casee panicked when she learned about the discovery of the bones… she knows she’s finally caught! I just wish they’d hurry up and announce the results of the DNA test so we can get some closure for this, we all already know it’s her.

(85) Barbara Smith says:

This is so sad and although I feel in my
heart this mother killed her child most
parents will help their own kids. I hope
the grandparents did not help this mother
but it is possible. God hates the sin but
loves the sinner and parents should be a
little more alert to things. This is some
what different it brings to mind Natalee
Hollaway. The mother should have gone on
that trip or just said NO and Natalee
might be alive today. The laws dictate to
parents how to discipline their kids as
well as Bible out of schools. The country
has given criminals more rights than most
people. I will pray for the Anthony family
because only God can help them now. The
mother will never get a fair trial not that
she should but her true punnishment will
come by God’s hand not mortal man. May God
have mercy on her soul and if she is guilty
she should receive an Oscar for the way she
is acting. Caylee is spending our Savior’s
birthday in Heaven and for that I am glad
she will not be raised by her so-called mom.
