Two Charged in Eve Carson's Murder
One suspect has been arrested and another remains at large in the robbery and murder of University of North Carolina student body president Eve Carson. Demario James Atwater, 21, was arrested as he left his Durham home after police received a tip from someone who recognized the suspects in surveillance photos.
Police are searching for Lawrence Alvin Lovette Jr., 17, who is believed to be armed and dangerous. Investigators say Lovette was pictured driving Carson's vehicle while trying to use her ATM card. Atwater (pictured above) was caught on video in a convenience store trying to use the ATM card, police said.
Both Atwater and Lovette have criminal records and are currently on parole. Atwater was arraigned on a charge of first-degree murder and was ordered held without bond.
Atwater has a 2005 conviction for felony breaking and entering and a 2007 conviction for illegal possession of a firearm. He received a suspended sentence. Lovette (pictured at left) was convicted of misdemeanor larceny and breaking and entering in January 2008. He also received a suspended sentence.
After releasing the surveillance photos of the suspects after the shooting death of Carson, police received hundreds of tips. One of them led investigators to Atwater and Lovette.

There is a nationwide epidemic of negro violence against white women. It’s time to bring back law and order, which includes swift justice, such as hanging by the neck until dead.
I don’t think it’s so much against white women but more toward women in general. It does reflect the belief system of the hip-hop nation and their misogeny and ant-white racism.
I would like to see the death penalty enforced within 2yrs of such crimes and I think that violent crimes would go way down.
I think that white people need to stop trying to be black.They also need to stop being jealous of black people too..
