Investigators in Boca Raton, Florida, have released a new color sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with the death of a 47-year-old woman and her seven-year-old daughter in December 2007. The bodies of Nancy Bochicchio and her daughter Joey were found in their SUV in the parking lot of the Town Center Mall after midnight, Dec. 13, 2007.

Surveillance video revealed that the two entered the mall at 2:19 p.m. and left the mall with shopping bags at 3:11 p.m. Investigators believed they were carjacked in the parking lot shortly after leaving the mall.

A bank videotape shows Nancy driving to a nearby ATM machine and withdrawing $500. Investigators say they drove the SUV back to the parking lot where Nancy and Joey were bound with plastic zip ties. At some point, Nancy broke free from the ties and tried to flee. Police believe that is when she and her daughter were shot.

Police Sketch of Suspect

On August 7, 2007 at the same mall, police said a gunman abducted a 30-year-old woman and her two-year-old child. He forced the woman to withdraw cash from a nearby bank, told her to drive back to the parking garage and he bound her and her son and left them in their SUV.

Because of the similarities in the cases, police believe the suspect in the August incident is the same suspect in the murder of Nancy and Joey Bochicchio. The above sketch is of the suspect in the August robbery.

The suspect is a white male, between 5-10 and 6-0 tall and between the age of 18 and 25. Police suspect that he uses the hat to hide long hair, possibly a pony tail.

I am not a profiler but is it possible the young man in question din’t murder the young mother with baby boy because he is very close to his own mother? Yet he hates women in general?

(3) Also Not a Profiler says:

He saw himself as the boy, and didn’t want to do harm to him. However, he does not like his mother because of the man she subsequently married (step-dad) who physically abused him. Yet, he blames his mother and hates her perhaps more than his step-dade.

Perhaps the hat was hiding very short hair.
I wonder if there is a connection between the Mall Murders and prior incident with the recent murders in Marathon (2 of females this year; first female was also 47y/o). It’s a huge stretch, but it would help if I knew of any connections. Anyone know of any connections? If so, plese post.

Target the younger age group, where they play with flyers, most kids in this age group know little if nothing about the cases. This may spark a memory,a friend, family member, someone saw something, friend has a hat in his closet, carries a pistol, somebody is close to this person. This guy killed a child,he must pay.

There is something not right about woman’s voice (the one who survived with the 2 yr. old son) when she tells the story of the abduction. It’s as if her story is rehearsed, perhaps she’s told the story so many times that it probably is rehearsed. I am comparing the video on America’s Most Wanted to the 20/20 story and she just doesn’t sound very convincing. I still suspect the husband they featured on 20/20…what’s the motive? Also why would the killer carry two pairs, one being glasses and the second being swimming goggles…it’s as if it is a contract killing that is planned ahead of time but maybe they made a mistake and killed the wrong person???

I think the goggles are cheap (likely chinese made) motorcycle goggles. The grey cushioning around the rims is meant to keep the goggles snug to the face to help with high wind. I do not think they are swimming goggles as some have reported.
