Using an underground network of hidden cameras, a Dutch journalist claims to have solved the case of the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba. After seeing key pieces of evidence collected by reporter Peter R. de Vries, Aruba's top prosecutor has reopened the investigation.
De Vries said he used a sophisticated network of hidden cameras to gather evidence that he says "has solved the mystery" of Holloway's disappearance and how her body disappeared.
After seeing some of the new evidence, Aruba's chief prosecutor, Hans Mos, said he has "intensified investigation of Natalee Holloway due to recently received information."
"This information may shed a new light on the mode of which Natalee Holloway has died and the method by which her body disappeared," Mos said. "Now at least the truth is surfacing and with that we can at least wrap up this case."
De Vries evidence will first be revealed on a Dutch television show scheduled to air this Sunday. ABC News plans a 90-minute special edition of "20/20: The Final Hours of Natalee Holloway" on Monday, Feb. 4, at 9:30 p.m. ET.
De Vries Confronts Van der Sloot
Just last month, Mos closed the Holloway case after re-arresting Joran van der Sloot, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe and detaining them briefly. Mos said authorities had exhausted all of their powers trying to solve the case.
After his latest release, Van der Sloot did a television interview with de Vries in which the reporter challenged his honesty. After the television show ended, Van der Sloot threw a glass of wine in de Vries' face.
At the time, de Vries said, "He doesn't have complete control over his behavior."

Comme on – what we have here is the son of a prominent judge who this country is trying to protect. May justice come to this missing young woman by bringing out the truth. Leave all political affiliation aside and come up with what truly happened.
You saw him lose his temper with the reporter. That goes to show you he could have easily lost his temper with her. While watching this whole case evolve from start to now, you know investigators knew he killed her. They are just trying to find enough evidence to convict this cock sucker!
My friend Bella has had info about the Holloway case on our site for a few months now. If you want to see it before the news comes out about what he admits, you can look at the site, it has not been updated in at least a month. So if there is any questions about what she knew you can review what she has seen.

Yes this is what people would call a psychic thing, but for us, its all real. Ask and you will receive.
I think it’s time for those Aruban legal folk to just shut up and keep their Cone Heads out of the newspapers until they actually solve the crime. All these soon-deflated revelations are beyond tiresome — make them look like dunces — and must be torturing the Holloways.
Can’t the Holloway family figure out a way to how shall I put this….? Dispose of young vanderslut??!!!??
all evidence shows us who is responsible in this case. why is the american justice so slow in moving real action?
