The state of Pennsylvania has decided to settle a lawsuit brought by convicted killer Lisa Michelle Lambert, who claimed she was sexually assaulted by guards at the Cambridge Springs State Correctional Institution. The 1996 lawsuit claimed the institution did nothing to prevent the repeated assaults.
Lambert was convicted of stalking and killing 16-year-old Laurie Show, a romantic rival at her Lancaster high school. The case was the basis for the 2000 television movie, "The Stalking of Laurie Show," and lead to passage of stalking laws in Pennsylvania.
The civil lawsuit had been placed on hold until Lambert had exhausted all of her appeals in her criminal case. The U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear her case in 2005.
Sex Was Consensual?
Attorneys for the state asked the court to dismiss Lambert's civil suit because they claimed the sex between Lambert and the guards was consensual. In July however, a judge ruled there was enough evidence for the lawsuit to go to trial.
The lawsuit claimed that prison guard James Eicher attacked Lambert six times in 1994, another official fondled her and she was videotaped during a strip search. Eicher was convicted of aggravated indecent assault in the case and sentenced to two years in prison.
Lambert's attorney, Angus Love of the Pennsylvania Institutional Law Project, said the money from the settlement will go to pay court costs and restitution and if any is left will go to Lambert's parents, who are raising her 15-year-old daughter.

Whether the sex was consenual or not a prison guard shouldn’t have sex with an inmate.
I didn’t think there was male prison guards in a female prison, but what do I know, I have never been in prison.
If he did attack her more power to her for getting the $35,000.
No place in this world will you find people with integrity or self respect.

WHATEVER, she wanted it. I have been in prison and the women give sex to the guards for extra’s. she got mad becasue the guard didnt follow thru with his end of the deal. she killed someone. thats why she is in prison in the 1st place. they should have killed her by now. an eye for a eye. is how it should be, 35,000 now what the hell she going to do with that locked up anyways.

It is true she killed someone and should have been put to death. I am all for the death penalty if it can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt.
You weren’t there so how do you know what was done or said. Just because she is a murderer doesn’t mean she should be attacked and raped.
As far as what she will do with the money is pay her legal fees, bills and send the rest to her mom who is raising her child according to the story.
Your kind of thinking about rape is why it is so tough to prove it when a woman gets raped. Nobody deserves that not even a murderer. This is why the streets aren’t safe for women or anyone else to walk, because people like you think it is okay for people to be attacked whether they ask for it or not. Not attacking is what separates compassionate Christian human being from people who are bent on doing what they want instead of what is right.
I have never been in prison, but the guard could have wrote her up, put her on lock down or denied her privileges if she was in the wrong.
Judge people and make accusations are against Bible teachings and since you don’t really know what happen, the point would be that the guard attacking and raping her makes him a criminal also. Just because she committed murder doesn’t justify her being attacked and raped.
Only God, the guard, and she knows for sure. Read your Bible more and you will see.
I have been in prison(barfight), and had an affair with a female guard who was the wife of a guard in another prison. I did it more to ‘get over’ on the husband than pleasure. ha,ha. Lots of stuff goes on between guards and inmates. Paul Harvey was right, If you want to see some of the scum of society, just go to a prison parking lot at shift change! The woman should have got more money. That would have been great.
