A former Canton, Ohio police officer has pleaded not guilty to three counts of aggravated murder, two counts of gross abuse of a corpse, aggravated burglary and endangering children in connection with the death of Jessie Davis and her unborn daughter. Bobby Cutts Jr. could get the death penalty if convicted under Ohio law.

Myisha Ferrell, a high school classmate of Cutts, pleaded not guilty to charges of obstructing justice and complicity to abuse of a corpse. Investigators say she helped dispose of Davis' body, which was found buried nine days after she disappeared.

Nine-months-pregnant Jessie Davis (pictured) was reported missing June 15 when her mother went to her apartment after not hearing from her for two days. She found Davis' two-year-old son in the apartment alone in dirty diapers.

On June 18, Davis' body was found buried in Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Bobby Cutts Jr. was arrested the same day. Family members said Cutts was the father of Jessie's son Blake and the father of her unborn child.

Two days later, Myisha Ferrell was arrested and charged with helping Cutts move Davis' body. Some observers expect Ferrell will be a key witness in the case against Cutts.
