Woman Charged in Murder of Mother, Fetus
A 24-year-old Illinois woman was charged Saturday with
first-degree murder in the deaths of her pregnant friend and the unborn
child police believe that she cut from the slain woman's womb. Late
Saturday, authorities found the bodies of the slain mother's three other
children in a washer and dryer in a housing project apartment.
Tiffany Hall (pictured in mug shot) was charged with the death of her long-time friend, Jimella Tunstall, 23. The two grew up together and attended the same schools. Hall frequently baby-sat Tunstall's children, relatives said.
Police first became involved in the case when Hall told police in Frank Holten Park in East St. Louis that she had gone into labor and gave birth to a stillborn child. At the hospital, the baby showed now signs of trauma and Hall would not let doctors examine her. A later autopsy failed to determine a cause of death for the baby.
A funeral was held for the baby Thursday at which Hall confessed to her boyfriend that she had killed the baby's mother. She was arrested after he reported the confession to police.
An autopsy of Tunstall revealed that she bled to death from a abdominal wound caused by what the coroner believed was scissors. Investigators believe that the seven-months-pregnant Tunstall was knocked unconscious before her fetus was removed from her womb.

The arrest of Hall prompted an intensive search for Tunstall's other
children -- DeMond Tunstall, 7, Ivan Tunstall-Collins, 2, and Jinela
Tunstall, 1 -- who were last seen with Tiffany Hall.
Two days after beginning the citywide search for the missing children, police received a tip and found their bodies at the John DeShields public housing complex.
Hall is being held on $5 million bail. No one has been charged yet in the deaths of the three children.

drowning the three children of her best friend Jimella Tunstall, returning
them to their apartment complex and hiding their bodies in a washer and
dryer. An autopsy confirmed the children were drowned.

What’s the motive? Why would a woman murder her best friend and drown her children? It doesn’t make any sense. Maybe I can believe that she wanted the baby because she couldn’t have children of her own, but why kill the mother’s children?
I want to send out my condolences to the young lady and her kids family members.Its a shame a woman would go that route to get a child. And then go and kil those innocent children. I am 8 months pregnant myself and have a little boy thats two so I just don’t understand why that would happened and she was such a beautiful girl and her kids were also…Like i said its just sad to see something like this happening to people..
Whatever happens to her she gets what she DESERVES..i dont want to hear no mental illness crap is what caused that cause no matter what its not right..They need to put her under the cell
I agree with Melissa. What in the world could have been her motive? I am a mother of two children 8 and 9 and to think of either killing a mother or having my children killed in that manner does not make any sense to me. I do believe if they put her to death for her crimes she would be getting off to easy. Maybe if she went through the same thing her friend went through or the children went through people would think twice about hurting some one else. death for her would be the easy why out for her. even if she wanted another baby there are other ways than killing the mom or kidnapping.
It is true that the devil is always busy…why on this earth will anyone want to murder anyone but especially innocent babies? People need to realize that the devil is searching for human souls to act out his evil deeds…and we can’t keep on saying people who kill and murder and so on are mentally ill.The more we keep making excuses for their wrong doings the more it will continue.A young lady and four children are dead because of this womans acts…how can you sum that up?
This woman may have been possessed in some way to kill a woman she grew up with. The killer also looked after the victim’s children. It was also said that the killer had two children of her own. What a shame, all those lives are now lost. My heart goes out to the victims families.

I can’t understand how a woman/mother could kill children.Tiffany Hall should never see the light of day ever again, and I hope a jury finds her competent and guilty so she will never commit another crime again.
i am very disturbed about this story i have been looking for updates and new information on the cases i feel very sad with emotion for the victims family this was very tragic and very upsetting this is something that should never happen to anyone it’s just crazy and it bothers me very deeply to know that these very innocent people are no longer here and can’t be brought back to play, smile or anything ever again Rest In Peace to the Tunstall family may gobd be with you
I think instead of death penalty they should do the same thing to her that she did to them and then drown her but first let her suffer in jail

AFTER READING THIS STORY I FEEL SO SORRY FOR TIFFANY HALL BECAUSE SHE HAS TO ANSWER FOR ALL HER WRONG DOINGS. THE KIDS AND THEIR MOTHER ARE IN HEAVEN LIVING THAT GOOD LIFE AND EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS CONVICTED AND SENT TO JAIL..HER PUNISHMENT IS NOT OVER…ITS JUS THE BEGINNING.
