Rapper DMX Arrested at London Airport
Actor and rap performer DMX was arrested at Heathrow Airport in London after he refused a request to fasten his seatbelt as an American Airlines flight started its final decent and launched a verbal assault against the flight crew.
"Heathrow Police were called at 12:05 p.m. on Saturday to reports of a passenger causing a disturbance on an inbound aircraft," a Scotland Yard official said in a statement. "The plane landed at approximately 12:15 p.m. and a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being verbally abusive to cabin crew. He was taken to the police station and later released with a caution."
It is not the first time DMX, formerly Earl Simmons, has been in trouble with the law. The rapper turned actor has a long arrest record and served a short term in prison for violating his probation. He was released December 30, 2005.
