Bouncer Indicted for Imette St. Guillen's Murder

Thursday March 23, 2006
Law enforcement sources report that Darryl Littlejohn, the bouncer at the bar where 24-year-old Emette St. Guillen was last seen alive, has been indicted for the criminal justice graduate student's kidnapping, rape and murder.

The Boston Herald reported that Littlejohn was officially arrested on the charges at Riker's Island Wednesday night where he is being held on probation violations. The newspaper said members of St. Guillen's family were planning to attend Littlejohn's arraignment scheduled today.

St. Guillen disappeared from The Falls, a bar in New York's SoHo section, around 4 a.m. March 4. Her nude body was found 17 hours later in a vacant lot in Brooklyn about 14 miles from the bar.

Police said blood found on the plastic ties used to bind St. Guillen's hands matched Littlejohn's DNA. A search of Littlejohn's apartment turned up items similar to the ones found with St. Guillen's body.

Littlejohn has maintained his innocence of the crime.
