Sex Offender Duncan Blogging from Jail?
Joseph Edward Duncan III, the registered sex offender accused of killing three people at their Coeur d'Alene, Idaho home so that he could kidnap two children, is blogging again, by writing messages to someone who is posting them on the Internet.
The messages reportedly from Duncan do not address the charges he faces in Idaho for the murders of Brenda Kay Groene, 40; her son, Slade Vincent Groene, 13; and her boyfriend, Mark Edward McKenzie, 37. The blog posts are described as being "religious in nature."
The existence of the blogs were revealed this week on a blog called "The Cellar," which is dedicated to following Duncan's case. Duncan's messages are posted on another blog called "Blogging the Fifth Nail: Revelations" which contains posts going back to Nov. 13, 2005.
Rather than trying to prevent Duncan from having his writings posted on the site, law enforcement apparently hopes it continues. An FBI agent told reporters that the new blog is being monitored carefully.
"There is a real dearth of information about him, anyway," the agent said. "We are certainly going to look at any of his writings, to see if they have any investigative value. I want him to write as much as he can."
Duncan, 42, of Fargo, North Dakota, has pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of first-degree kidnapping in the Idaho murders in May 2005. His trial is set for April 4.
He has yet to be charged for the kidnapping of Shasta and Dylan Groene and the murder of Dylan.

So I read this blog. The piece on how he thinks that we need more lenient sex crime punishment was absolutely disgusting. He has the audacity to blame the enforcement of sex crime law, to the increase in murder and sex crime against children. He sums it up to essentially assign the blame for the crime on the law enforcement officers. This man will never take responsibility for his crimes. The injection method would be too good for him.
