Kara Beth Borden Not Kidnapped, Police Say

Kidnapping charges have been dropped against David Ludwig after his 14-year-old girlfriend told investigators that she left with him willingly after her parents were shot and killed in their Warwick, Pennsylvania home Nov. 13.

In court papers filed today, prosecutors said Kara Beth Borden told detectives that she left on her own free will and ran from her home to get into Ludwig's car after the murder of her parents. The two were found one day later in Indiana after a high-speed chase ended in Ludwig's car running into a tree.

According to the court filings, Ludwig told police that the two planned to get as far away as they could from Pennsylvania, get married and start a new life together.

In is not clear if 14-year-old Kara Beth Borden will face charges in connection with the case.

Videotape Reveals Murder Plot

Meanwhile, prosecutors said Ludwig and another friend videotaped themselves discussing plans to conduct an armed raid on another family's home and kill people inside. Ludwig and Samuel P. Lohr, 19, are shown in the video taking guns from Ludwig's house to a home and discussing using them to "shoot and kill family members inside of the residence," according to a search warrant issued last week.

The home in the videotape was not that of Michael and Cathryn Borden, Kara Beth's parents, prosecutors said.
