Suspect's Mother Arrested in Pamela Vitale Case
Esther Fielding, mother of Dyleski, told her son not to come home on the night of the murder of Vitale because there was "police activity" in the neighborhood. She may have helped her son cover up the crime by hiding or destroying evidence, sources said.
In another development in the case, Superior Court Judge David Flinn issued a temporary gag order good through Nov. 10 in the case preventing defense and prosecution attorneys, their employees and any material witnesses in the case from discussing the case.
Judge Flinn's gag order was issued at the request of both the defense and the prosecution after it was learned that famed attorney Gloria Allred was representing a material witness in the case. Allred represented Amber Frey, a witness in the Scott Peterson trial and appeared on cable networks discussing the case extensively before and during the trial.
Had Sex With Girlfriend After Murder
Allred is representing Scott Dyleski's girlfriend in the case. The girlfriend's house was searched in connection with the investigation when police learned that Dyleski went to her Walnut Creek house to have sex shortly after the brutal beating of Vitale.
Authorities said Dyleski called his mother from Walnut Creek and she told him to stay there instead of coming home because police had the neighborhood roads blocked.
