All Suspects Set Free in Aruba

Friday September 2, 2005
A judge has ordered the release of two Surinamese brothers who were re-arrested last week in Aruba in connection with the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, which means all three of the men last seen with the missing Alabama teen will be released from detention Saturday.

Satish and Deepak Kalpoe, who were released July 4, but re-arrested last week, will be released Saturday on condition that they do not leave the island and they remain available to police.

Earlier this week, the judge ordered Dutch teen Joran Van Der Sloot released on Saturday. Observers believe the release of the all three of the suspects signals that the prosecutors have no evidence in the case.

The Aruban prosecutors, stinging from criticism that they have botched the investigation from the start, had no comment on the release of the Kalpoes and Van Der Sloot.

"I'm devastated," said Beth Holloway Twitty, mother of the missing teen.
