Aruba Prosecutor to Appeal Kalpoe Brothers' Release
Fox News' Greta Van Susteren reported near the end of her "On the Record" program Tuesday night that the prosecution had decided to appeal the judge's decision July 4 to release Deepak and Satish Kalpoe, who had been detained as suspects in the case since June 9. Under Aruban law, either side can appeal the decision to a three-judge appeals panel.
Earlier in the program, Natalee Holloway's step-father George (Jug) Twitty told Van Susteren that the reason the family hired an attorney was so that they could gain more access to legal proceedings and the investigation.
"If the public knew what we know they would be shocked that these two were released," he said.
Meanwhile, F-16 fighter planes equipped with special infrared equipment will begin searching the island today for the missing Alabama teen.
