Natalee's Mom: Don't Let Kalpoe Brothers Leave
Asking for help from the "mothers and fathers of all nations" Twitty pleaded, "Do not allow these two ... to enter your country until this case is solved."
"I am asking this in the name of my beautiful, intelligent and outstanding daughter whom I haven't seen in 36 days," a tearful Twitty asked. She said her greatest fear was that the two brothers will leave Aruba.
Monday a judge ordered that the two Kalpoe brothers released immediately, but also ordered 17-year-old Joran Van Der Sloot detained for another 60 days. Beth Twitty believes the three know what happened to Natalee Holloway on May 30, the day she disappeared shortly before she was supposed to catch and return flight to Alabama.
Free to Leave
Meanwhile, an Aruban government spokesperson said that the Kalpoe brothers are now "free citizens" and are free to leave anytime they wish. One report said the two had a plane ticket to return to their native country Thursday.
The judge also granted a motion by Van Der Sloot's defense attorney that he be allowed to be present at any future interrogations of his client. "It's important for me to say again today that my client maintains his innocence," Antonio Carlo told reporters.
Natalee has been missing for 36 days. A massive search of the Caribbean island and the waters surrounding it has turned up no trace of the 18-year-old honors student.
