Mary Kay Letourneau Sets Wedding Date?

Tuesday February 15, 2005
Mary Kay Letourneau and her former sixth-grade student lover, Vili Fualaau, have set their wedding date for April 16, according to an online wedding registry service. The couple is apparently registered at WeddingChannel.com, but the web site has yet to confirm that it has verified their identity.

Letourneau announced that she was engaged to Fualaau on the Larry King Live show in October 2004, but their wedding date was unknown until they filed out an online registry. However, there may be some question that the registry was actually set up by Letourneau and Fualaau. The guestbook on the couple's page contains posts by those who are obviously using phony names, so the security of the web site is in question.

Letourneau went to prison after she continued to see Fualaau, now the father of two of her children, in violation of her probation sentence for her rape conviction.

Hey I just wanted to say that I am glad that they finally got together and that I think that if his mother was ok with it then she shouldn’t have went through all of that.

i think the whole thing is sick. even if his mother would of been okay with it you have to remember it was still wrong. as for her being picked up on the same thing a month or so later says she has a big problem and should of been locked up forever!!!!

I don’t know about this one, I’m torn. I believe it’s sick thats he would have sex with a 12 yr old BOY, but it is sweet that they love each other and are together in the end. Obviously he cares for her and she cares for him if they’ll do ANYTHING, even elongating her prison sentence, just to be together. If they’re marrying… GREAT! But realize… her children with him are gonna have a TOUGH time growing up… specially if schoolmates find out the truth…. and what if she’s sick and messes with her own kids. C’mon now. I don’t know see…. once again, I’m torn.

This case is an abomination, she should not be allowed to leave prison again.

(6) Nadine says:

Both of these individuals have deep psychosis.
As it looks right now both of their disfunctions are right for each other. Unfortunately, neither of them should have ever added children to the formula of sickness in which they live. I don’t think she should have ever breed after leaving her baby brother to such a dark demise. She should have never brought children into this world. she was a selfish 11 year old she was a selfish adult and a sick teacher. Unfortuneately all she taught was sickness onto her first four children by dragging them through such a humiliating and lonely childhood by her actions and I am sure her next 2 suffered just as much.

(7) Gillian Marshall says:

Regarding the death of the 3 year old, Mary should have never been asked to watch an active 3 year old at a distracting party. The parents should have been watching THEIR child or hired a competent adult babysitter.

(9) Mella says:

I understand that it is wrong to be with somebody that young, but they are married now. I hope they stay together and stay happy. You can’t help who you love. My fiance is 52 and I am 28. He’s not rich either. We just had this connection when we first met and it is still as strong now as it was 3 yrs. ago. I’m sure some people look at us and say wow he must be rich or something, but I don’t care. The indescribable feeling I have for him just burns when I think about him.
