Convicted Killer Ready to Die

James Porter is scheduled to be executed in Texas Tuesday after dropping all of his appeals. "I'm the type of individual to face up to my responsibility and my mistakes," Porter told the press. Porter was serving a 45-year sentence for a 1995 shooting death when he beat fellow inmate Rudy Delgado to death. At the time, Porter said he did society a favor, because Delgado was a child molester.
